God bless you abundantly OP. It takes a whole lot of courage to help in Naija and the reasons are not far fetched.I pray the lady gets adequate care. |
Using a canon to kill a mosquito,IMO. We did not protest for the bad roads, non performing senators, governors etal, terrible economy plus oppresion from uniformed men now we wanna protest cos of BH.where are they marching to? They better apply wisdom. |
Lots of questions. . . Who arranged for the trip, travel agency or church ? Who got them visas, when did they embark on the so called pilgrimage and when where they supposed to come back? |
^yeah right, I also remember the warning of never to respond to a call @ night until you see the face of the caller even if the voice sounds like ya mommas own. |
^boyz a naghi achi ochi.lolz Nkem oh. Jiri obi choochi gi gbaghara El, inu. Owu typo. @Tosh na Agaba, lol but thanks. El dalu. Happy holidays everyone and welcome 2012. . . We are ready. Ikomus and Ghettochyk, okwu gwuru m na-onu. |
Worthy of note is the fact that iju ase or inyo uno (making enquiries) precedes igba nkwu. That is when family and close knits of intending couple would go undercover to find out if things like epilepsy, madness, downs syndrome, kleptomania and even divorce(lol) is a recurring decimal in the others family. Sadly, it seems this aspect of marriage ie iju ase is mostly done by the grooms family. The brides family does not participate deeply in this, they are more like comfortable as recipients of the the grooms family searchlights. |
I am a sucker for traditional weddings! Love it. Yet to understand the rhyme or reason a couple would need to wear white and go swear oaths before men and . . . Funny thing is that the white wedding ish have no biblical history or roots. Anyways, dede Andrew ole nke bu umu ashebi?is that an igbo word or culture?ndi enyi bride should be appropriate. |
Love the thread. Never knew the Bush's have been together for that long. @AJ, happy holidays dear. Much love. . . And admiration! |
Present sir/Ma . Happy holidays everybody! |
Ms nnaji. . For been able to pull smartly her stunt of "the less you look, the more you see" . Haha Mrs mercy J okojie. . Swimming through all those controversies and coming out all strong and standing gidi- gbam. |
Lmao! And oops, serves them right too. |
Na wao! Must we copy every thing? Do the western worlds celebrate new yam festivals? @ op, what do carnivals represent, its origin and why must we have one? If anyone is bored with Orisha, iwa ji and co festivals he/ she should jump on the next flight to the carib. Simple. |
. . . Anything for a coochie! |
Could this be really true? Who owns the property sef? Really find it hard to believe this news but then again its naija, the land of "anything can happen" |
^ ah welcome to papa orikinla's world of delusions. Dude seriously wanna bang Ms Nelson and promoting her on every blog and website he thinks, would make that dream come true. You need to check his post history to know how weird he is. |
I love Nneka and Isaac ene of goge Africa fame. My parents marriage too inspire me. And yes, nairalands almond joy too. |
Lucky her. And she's most probably still a rookie.giving up oneself is a far better option than having the darn thing blow up her digestive track and end her life. I don't feel pity for her though. She wanted the dough so bad. . . Now she's gonna pay for it dearly. |
I dreaded Saturdays. Enough house keeping cheei! Scrubbing the baths, the whole floors, pots and pans, tending to the garden and worst of all getting my hair washed and plaited. Plus I was the only girl. Lol |
Ok !but I don't get all the "on Christmas day and place of worship" logic. Total condemnation in all sincerity is the way to go, IMO. Then again, you can condemn crime but still yet aid or abet. Are those boko boys spirits, where do they sleep and eat? Surely, they interract with people on daily bases. . . If only after all the screams of"I don't support boko boys" the leaders truthfully mobilize or encourage the common man, their followers to chase those demons out of their land. I'm so bored with hearing same story from the northern elites. . . Every single one of them by day distances himself from the boko bois but the truth remains that when its dark, all men are black. |
Yes,they are! And that's COS men then were more responsible unlike the plenty loafers we have today. Men back in the days were not moved by BB pin, brazillian wigs, low waist jeans. They mended their wives roof, brought home big yams and coco yams, rose early to check their traps and farms, fulfilled every of their marital roles. Compare that with what's obtained today. Men ignore the pretty decent babes for the ones with flashy wigs, big cars and fat jobs, some go as far as sitting tight on their silly ASSs waiting for a sister to come feed them. It all boils down to demand and supply. Men demand, women supply. |
@poster, why then did you share the story here ?you knew he loved you not, know about 9ja men and the other women syndrome, know he loves you not etal and most importantly, you know for sure you aint leaving him COS you've invested money and time on him and the marriage so why the heck you telling us? Sit tight madam and enjoy the ride. |
No, an average Nigerian does not speak, write or understand Arabic. Where are you from, btw? |
A village in onitsha, umu ase village specifically eats dog meat. I have taken dog meat pepper soup and boy it was delish. Didn't know it was dog meat though till after consumption. |
You need a little shekpe(local gin) each morning( you can use it to wash face, brush teeth, rinse mouth or outright consumption) if you intend visiting your debtors in naija. Never jump a molue with anything but complimentary cards in your pockets. |
^lol. I almost went crazy the first day. My husband was just having a laugh, saying its natural bla bla but I wasn't listening. I was like maybe their bathing water was too cold/warm/hot, their room and beddings needs air. Lol, thank heavens we didn't have a help COS I would have so accused him or her. I even thought my nities were too provocative. Now, I'm wiser and have come to know its natural. |
^ you are not serious are you? What made you think "she" is interested in marriage?she should invest her resources in getting a man to marry her? Its still same people like you that would quickly remind her that you don't use "resources" to buy a husband. @ poster, search yourself very well, weigh all options, pros and cons to be sure that this is the best option for you. And if the IVF thingy does not work, you can as well think adoption. If you ever get to the adoption mark, little saints orphanage @ palmgroove, hearts of gold hospice VI are all tested and trusted names in that field. Goodluck dear |
Boys eh. I don't know how their body system is wired. I can still remember the look on my face the first times I noticed my 3 years old twin boys and morning erections. I was so frantic then, called my mom, mil and God at same time. Lol I have come to realize that boys, like their female counterparts needs the sex talk etal too from their parents. @mbj you very funny you know. What possibly could be itching the boy at that place and at that time?rofl |
. . . Even leilah, the most enduring and submissive of all women would have kicked his ASss real hard and good then move on. How can you forgive (with no apology and repentance) such a man?how can any woman accept such trash?I won't be suprised to hear you opted for cs COS of what the jerk fed you or with your self esteem at its lowest ebb, you decided on that in your bid to keep it tight and hot for him.you can starve yourself all you want, delude yourself with every pathetic excuse your head would spin for his lame ASS but the truth is this. . . This man(if all you typed here is true) never loved you, cannot love you and would NOT love you!you cannot coerce, force or make him love you either.I wish you well. |
Funny thread however going with the responses here, it means almost all married naija women step out all covered and decent. My question then is, the married ladies I see everyday in tight provocative tops, breas.t all out and tummy begging to be covered etal, na who dey marry them When at home, I dress like the boys, shorts and tee's. |
