By the way, Brass and New Calabar of today were not same as those of the time of Baike and Crow and Glynn.
Alot has changed.
It's like comparing America of pre Caucasian invasion to modern America in terms of physical looks of people who call themselves Americans, language and culture.

New Calabar we know was originally Efik.
Brass was a mixture of Edoid and Ibibiod tribes. The Abureni, Ogbia, etc. Represents what Brass of old were.
The centuries of invasion of these small tribe by Jos men from region of Soubou has changed the demographic features of these places.

Tell that to Ebiegberi Alagoa the one you hate so much and Timipre Sylva,Timi Dakolo they aren't Ijos. These men are from Nembe/Brass.

You can as well respond to my challenge.Let us know when and how the Ijos displaced the "real inhabitants".
What challenge exactly!
What is your challenge?

We gave you one challenge. Find just one Colonial report mentioning Ejo and Bonny as origin of each other.
80 pages and on and you can't.
The most you can do is insist that Rio Real should be substituted for Bonny! Are you okay at all?

Your colleague claim that Crow documents are old , yet you are quoting an older document than Crow which doesn't even mention Bonny and insist we accept it because we are mad people or high in Ogogoro like you?
Get serious bro.

That excerpt talked about a village of over 2000 inhabitants at the RIO REAL.No pirates in boats.Infact reading further it talked about the hinterland people trading sheep and other food crops with the Jos at the village in exchange for salt.

I go dey repeat am inside una ear.Give me an earlier account to debunk mine.
It never mentioned Bonny! That's the Main thing.
It never mentioned Bonny!
The town of 2000 can be anything, but if Bonny wasn't mentioned, then it's pointless.

Remember a screenshot from someone you or one of your goons showed?
And it roughly quotes "in the HINTERLAND, the ibos have their various clan or tribe, but outside they are one nation; Igbo"
The ijos we're not earlier grouped because they were in their land, but nevertheless, I will grant your wish like a genie, you see your bolded words? Watch me shatter them.
The first screenshot is John Clarke adding the ijoid Languages after then earlier expedition.

You claim the freed people of sierraleone are definetly people of IBO origin?
Look at the second screenshot by German scholar Sigismund Koelle who published the book 'polyglotta Africana' in 1850's Grouping the ijoid Language and other African Language(thumping your falsehood, lol. I'm enjoying this)

The third screenshot is baikie himself still trying to figure out the ijoid Languages.

Now that I have showed you, I know you will still look for a way to dance out away from this again.
Now go to sleep little boy.
You are a clown.
If your argument is language, then you lost already, because we know that Bonny main town and Opobo speak Igbo as mother tongue today as we write!

But this argument is not about language because Igbos already won that war and you are the ones fighting to murder the Igbo language those places.

The argument here is about the origin of Aboriginal people of Bonny Island and Opobo.

Every single source, including your Baike noted that the people said they came from Igbo hinterland.

If at a point in time they switched their language to Ijoid language as Baike and Glynn seem to imply, then that is okay by Igbos, what matters is that they found a way to reswitch back to their ancestral Igbo language. Which is why they are Igbo speaking today!

Your argument is hinged on the language they were speaking when Baike and Kolle visited, in as much as I doubt they were speaking Ijoid language then, but I don't care as it doesn't affect the meat of this argument. What matters is that they were Originally Igbos and speak Igbo as mother tongue today.

What they did in between these two, like speaking an Ijoid language at a point in history, is irrelevant and redundant!

Check again the footnotes Oga.You post Crow's a million times.I can do same.

Where is the Rio Real located?
Rio Real is not another name for Bonny.
We are talking about Bonny and not pirates lurking in Bonny rivers.

We are talking about Bonny Island, emphasis on the land itself.

Show where Ijos were outrightly pointed out as inhabitants of Bonny LAND!

All these are irrelevant. If at 1508 the Jos were confirmed to have been inhabitants of Bonny, before the rise in slave trade there.

Where was Ijos confirmed as inhabitants of Bonny in 1508 Biko.

And you think only Alagoa wrote about Bonny?
Lol, clown
Below is an attached comparative vocabulary and numerals started by John Clarke, sir Edwin Norris, Merrick, even baikie himself, Sigismund Koelle (though partly)
Notice ibani Language is similar to kalabari too and they're graded under proto ijoid?
Remember crowther and pepple recorded that they speak the same language with calabari?
Look at it carefully and cry
Don't be silly.
Provide document showing Colonials linking Bonny to "Ejo or people of Jos" as you were known in colonial era.
Are you okay at all?

The people of New Calabar were not a people of single origin or single language at this time in history.
Even the King of New Calabar was of Igbo origin and the people of New Calabar who found themselves in Sierre Leone were definitely Igbo speaking and identified with Igbo union there as Bom-Ibo!

You showed people wrote about Bonny?
Right! Now show where they wrote of Bonny origin and linked their origin to Ejo or Jos people of Kolokuma!
It shouldn't be that hard to find!

Even Baike you are quoting, said point blank that Bonny ancestors originated from Igboland!
See it on second picture!

Politics › Re: Hinterland Ibos And The Misconception Of Bonny by Igboid: 10:08am On Dec 14, 2021
All Ijaws have to do to win this argument is to provide just one Colonial document tracing Bonny origin to "Ejo" or "people of Jos" as Ijaws was known in colonial times!
Just one Colonial or precolonial document doing so!

All Ijaws have is distortions of facts written by the chief Ijaw Fraudulent and old shameless historian like Alagoa and his sidekicks like Fombo and co, none of who can defend the abominations they wrote between 1966 and to date, a period in history when Igbos went to sleep.

But we are awake now, and we will tear every single Fraudulent piece Alagoa wrote on Bonny and Opobo to pieces using historical facts from early neutral colonists like Baike, Glynn and Captain Crow.
Better believe we are not making empty threats here, we mean it.
Alagoa the fraud will be eventually forced out from his hide out to open places when we start dropping our books to separate facts from fictions.

If you noticed, they've moved the debate to the
supposed perception slave dealers had of Ijos.

First Ijos were from Sierra Leone, then no historical mention of Ijos.At a point they argued that Kalabari,Okrika and Nembe aren't Ijo.They are consistently looking for something to hold on to .

Only an undiscerning and biased mind will be swayed by their arguments.
So you mean Captain Crow, Leonard Glynn, and Balfour Baike, were all biased minds for telling the world that Bonny ancestors originated from Eboes and for never mentioning Ejo or Jos men in relation to Bonny?

You surely have delusion of persecution.

Picture 1. Leonard Glynn 1906
Picture 2. Captain Crow
Picture 3. Baike Balfour 1855

Igbos bribed these men to say that Bonny ancestors originated from Igboland?

Where was the switch?

That we sold slaves and couldn't be tamed?

I suppose that's something written by your lover Captain Hugh Crow, and I'm supposed to be bothered? Please.....!
You were savages and were never involved in slave trade as sellers.
Atleast not in Bonny and Opobo.

If you say otherwise, provide receipts.
I mean colonial receipts by Jos men selling slaves.
Not Alagoa, Fombo or any other imaginary postulations written after 1966.

You can't wake up in 1966 and start distorting historical facts and expect to be taken seriously today because you have repeated your lies with the help of Nigerian government for 50 plus odd years.
It doesn't work that way.

You said you were slave masters and sold Igbo slaves, we agree! You just have to provide a colonial receipt calling men of Jos slave sellers.

We are waiting for it. You can log in into any online library and key in Ejos, Jos men and slave sellers and see if any thing will come up.
It shouldn't be that hard to find, if it exists.

Picture 1. William Balfour Baike

Picture 2. Captain Crow

Picture 3. Leonard, Arthur Glynn

All three independent accounts correctly tracing the origin of Bonny ancestors and first settlers before slave trade, to Igbo land.

No single account ever linked Bonny origin to land of Jos men in Kolokuma!

Baikie interviewed slaves earlier on, but further research made him to understand Bonny was CHIEFLY PEOPLED by IBO SLAVES though they speak the OKOLOMA dialect.
Baikie's collection of Bonny words collected from king pepple himself, and the report from pepple.
For your eyes only ...
Since you want to quote Baike, this is what Baike said about Bonny ancestors.

Can you show us where he linked Bonny to Jos men?

Politics › Re: Hinterland Ibos And The Misconception Of Bonny by Igboid: 1:52am On Dec 14, 2021
Speaking on Bonny Aboriginal Igbo ancestors.
This is from the book: Lower Niger and it's Tribes by Leonard, Arthur Glynn 1906.

Baike said Bonny ancestors came from Igbo land, Glynn said same, Captain Crow said same.
We are yet to get one neutral account linking Bonny origin to people of Jos!
Not one!

We had 70 pages of thread asking Ijaws to provide one Colonial document that mentioned Jos( old name for Ijaw) and Bonny in one sentence.
So far no answer!

You obviously missed the point of this thread.
The South West Leaders might have played some political royal rumble in the 7th Speakership National Assembly, but obviously the same thing played out when all that is required for the South East to secure the Senate President seat which is the number 3 position was just to re-elect Sen. Chris Ngige back in to the Senate, but the hatred of APC changed the scheme of things.

The point of this thread is crying for marginalisation, turning a section of the country in to a war zone and threatening the peace and unity of the country when the table turns around. Everybody should live with the consequences of their actions.

The South West accepted their losses, went back to the drawing table, build bridges and came out with political alliance that brought them to the corridor of power.

They didn't threatened Nigeria's unity or resulted in unnecessary killings and maiming of security personnel, destruction of government properties and killing their own people.

NB:

The point is nobody should threatened the Country Unity only when they are not favoured and kept mute when they are enjoying the National cake.

I hope this explains something.
Bla bla bla and more bla!

Any evidence that APC zoned the Senate to SE ?

APC that couldn't zone the speaker position to SE zoned the Senate to SE?

You want to make Ngige Senate president but you couldn't even give him any of the more lucrative ministerial positions?

Hi primitive land grabbing criminal, I repeat Okrika is not ijaw. The same way Kalabari(New Calabar) are not ijaw. All these are a mix of igboid and ibibiod people. This is the exact reason why King Amakiri of Kalabari was igbo. But I guess igbos have abandoned the people from both places to decide for themselves. However, history must be told.

Ijaw/ jo men/ izon are new migrants to the east coast. The Okrika part of Portharcourt is an insignificant landmass by size compared to the whole Portharcourt city. As for whether the Diobus called Portharcout Igwe-ocha, you will see the records at the appropriate time. I will not lecture you on the origin of the indigenous Nigerians east of the delta. For now you and your drunk choir should continue in your delusion.

The Yorubas and other ethnic groups do not attach suffix to peoples identity. It is only the izons that go about criminally attaching that accursed identity on peoples origin.
