Ijawman, So you are insinuating that all these naija politicians that bought properties in America and other western countries are citizens/permanents residents of those countries. Mind you that some of these politicians have not even travelled out of naija before they were elected into their different post. |

A herbalist, Matthew Sonoma, yesterday told a federal high court sitting in Abuja, that the suspended Chairman of the Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Ambassador Sam Edem, paid about one billion Naira to regain his manhood. Edem, however, denied Sonoma's claim, saying he had never at anytime lost his manhood. "My manhood has never gone down and I have never asked anybody to assist me in restoring it. My manhood never failed at anytime. It has always been functioning. My manhood has never stopped working, I repeat, it has never stopped working," Edem said. Under cross-examination by Sonoma's counsel, Chief Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Edem told the court how the herbalist was introduced to him by a youth leader of one of the organisations in the Niger-Delta. He also denied asking the herbalist to curry favour from the governor of Akwa-Ibom State as alleged, saying the governor never visited him in his house. "This man never did any juju for me. He was introduced to me as a pastor. I did not know that he has plans to blackmail me. He did not do anything for me to warrant payment. He was praying for other politicians." Justice Kolawole warned that if the police fail to produce the witness at the next date, he would strike out the charge against the accused. The Police last year, arrested Edem and Sonoma and arraigned them before Justice Olasumbo Goodluck, of an Abuja high court on a 15-count charge. They were granted bail by the court. Sonoma was later arraigned before the federal high court sitting in Abuja and Edem was turned to a witness in the case. Sonoma was accused of fraudulently obtaining about N700million from Edem. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Kai, the millitants already have enough money in the creek. |

@poster Everything boils down to the couples involved. If your hubby wants you to be a house wife and you the wife finds it reasonable for the betterment of your family, then fine. On the otherhand, if you dont want it that way and he insists, then you can opt out of the marriage and be the independent/career women that is more important to you. Simple and short. FYI, there are lots of well educated women who are ready to be stay at home mums anytime any day for the good of her Family. Money is not everything. |

I have perused 2ru most of the replies so far and discovered that non of my fellow nlanders have similar experience with me. Any way, i started living in the hostel right from primary 5 in Gaius Benton Primary school Oko, owned by Alex Ekwueme. I was considered as a stuborn and playfull child both at school and at home. I guess some of my behaviours prompted my parents to explore many options and finally decided to send me to a boarding school. Mehn, as 9yr old boy, it was a horrible experience. i started to feel the impact of my new environment, tears started to roll down my eyez as my mom was leaving the school gate. I still remember the last word she told me, "I will visit you in the next three days to know how u are coping." But she fulfilled her promise after one week. As my mom left, the School "Matron" as we call the lady in charge of the students, introduced me to my new friends, around 40 of them within the age range of 4 to 14, including boys and girls. They took me around the boarding house and showed me all the places that i have to know. The boys and girls room dont call it hostel have a linking door, hence boyz/girls can freely go into each others room. It was the first time i saw a bunk ie double bed. Throught out my stay in the skool, i always chose the top bed so as to avoid being baptised with pee In less than two weeks in d skool, i began to realize the actual reason why I was brought to the school. Every thing has time, prep time, siesta time, dinning time etc, and they were all compulsory. They force you to eat all your food, whether you like it or not, you must close ur eye during siesta time, even if u are feeling sleepy or not, we study 2gether every night in the same hall, we pray 2gether every night b4 going to bed and every morning b4 leaving for classes, you cant go home unless ur parents came to pick U up. To worsen d situation, i have never gone home for mid term breaks. In fact, its a looooong story, Also, they wash and iron our uniforms every day. The quantity of food per meal was pretty good, but sometimes the taste is horrible. As i said earlier, you must finish your food even if you have hunderd sets of provision ( milk, milo, cabin, corn flakes, cerelac ete) in the store. All students are equal, there was nothing like seniority. In a nut shell, my experience in this school made me a stronger man in all ramification, academically, physically or other wise. Graduating from primary 6, i passed my federal entrance n got into a Federal Government boarding skool As my fellow Jss1 students were still crying, trying to adapt to their new environment, I was the one consoling them. i taught some of them how to avoid being SUCKED by Seniors. But life was hell in FGC , when compared to my primary skool experience. The food was hell, the toilets were no go area. Infact, I replaced my skool properties every term, but i stopped when i learnt how to replace them in the same skool ie tapping Graduating from secondary skool, i said "Aure voir to hostel/ boarding house life". It has been a long time, I need a little privacy in university. Boyz have grown into Men. |

Men , i cant believe that this could be happening in Awka. These hoodlums had turned the city into juarez[mexico} or to say the kidnapping capital of Nigeria. Once again, this shows that Nigerians can only be controlled with iron hand, and i believe that the only way to stop this menace is to re-organize the BAKASSI boys. .Its obvious that the police cant check the situation neither do nigeria have the technological resource to deal with it. |
