If truly this is African juju, then anyone who try to rescue him would have drowned with him. texazzpete:Guy you just might be one of my friends in those days at the swimming pool side of Ogun State Hotel, Abeokuta about 19yrs ago. |
edoyad:Don't get me wrong, I do not expect him to disclose his identity if he belong to any intelligence outfit, but for us to understand and appreciate the peculiarity of our circumstance on security and intelligence. Meanwhile intelligence information in Nigeria is xterized with bureaucracy, ethnicity, religion and politics unlike USA, that is why our intelligence outfit is inefficient in my opinion. If mumbai was bombed, it means their intelligence is as lousy as ours. But I differ in opinion that intelligence information is not a guaranty that every adversity can be prevented. Do you mean that intelligent information that will save lives and property will be ignored? From what I read on 9/11, Pentagon and White House were also targets, but due to intelligence information those locations were prevented. |
My body was filled with goose pimples when i read this story 24 hrs ago, because i imagine those strip marks on my body and since then, my mind have been very busy - why? I try not to imagine how many of children in similar situations we have around us, thank God this boy has been rescued what about others like him, what can we do to safe them? I am actually shocked to realized that I cannot easily contact any Child Right Organization if I come across any similar case. If they exist, they are rather very unpopular; this mean that the level of awareness is very low in this regard and to think that Nigerian Police is a complete waste of time on any issue leave much to ponder the mind. LET US BOOST AWARENESS ON CHILD ABUSE addresses and contact phone numbers should be well published. The boy was rescued because the neighbor knew what to do and how to do it. |
NLC - please DO NOT cancel this strike oooo, my boss have denied me 5 days leave already, this strike will put him to shame; moreover people in my industry are always looking forward to public holidays it doesn't matter which form it came. |
Bawss1:Mr knowledge, what has Nigeria intelligence industry done to avert the numerous security challenges in the country to the extent of security threat to Police HQ? perhaps you mean to say that their jurisdiction did not cover such intelligence areas? Stop dwelling on the principle of intelligence and wake up to reality. Are you one of them? You may need to look at my previous post before you respond. Please educate and update us. |
Okoro2015:Those are fictions. even if James Bound and Jack Baur will be useless in Nigeria. |
Eeedi re lode. Ki olorun dele feni to ti ku - RIP! |
I think what we are looking at here is intelligence gathering in practice and not in principle. Most of the intelligence operators we have in this country misconstrued their status as an elevated opportunity to be above the law. Even as a layman, i can recognize an operator within 5 minutes of conversation, they are that inefficient. You can even recognize them on this thread. ![]() Few of them that are really efficient are not encouraged by their superiors because when they submit their report, they are too surprise to realized their superiors have been compromised and they are likely to be tagged uncooperative. When they are not compromised, ethnicity, politics and religion are given priority over intelligence report, too bad. Really the funding may be seen as inadequate compared to other nation but comparism as a percentage share in national expenditure is a huge share, and I see it as an avenue by those in charge to enrich themselves rather than commitment to selfless service to motherland. If as stated above exist in our so called intelligence outfit, can they merit the nomenclature? rather i will tag them another elevated ministry which is as clueless as all our leaders. ![]() |
Blackteeth:Haba, are you from the moon? We have SSS everywhere in this country, they are always using Peugeot 206 mostly in white color. They usually frequent joints and club houses. Anytime you have issue with them, they will harass you with their pistol saying ''don't you know I am SS/2x'' |
I would rather interpret it like this, Dirty people attract mosquitoes to themselves. @rafhell, please be careful ooo. whether you bath 20 times before you sleep guarantee you nothing except those mosquitoes are not hiding somewhere in your bedroom. precaution is better than daring Lagos mosquitoes, some even have gas-mask and carry straw. |
bashy_demy:Bashy, do you know why i stopped responding to this thread? because i have made my point and most posters disagreed on the use of the word ALL. Well, let them stick to their guns, I just hope they will not be too shocked to recover when the truth crystallized. In strict adherence to this topic; WILL ALL MARRIED MEN CHEAT? I will say YES, but most posters are actually condemning the act ''cheating'' rather than sticking to the topic with reality based facts. Really, I belief all men cheat, but in my opinion TIME is the only differentiating factor as to whether a man would cheat or not. In reality, ALL men are committed to non cheating habits when they take their marital vows, this in my opinion bring us to the 3 categories of cheaters: a) Those that start in the early years of marriage (Early starters usually below 15 years) b) Those that start to cheat at some points btw 15 to 30 years of marriage (Middle starters) c) Those that start to cheat from 30 years of marital life and above. (Late starters) In my opinion, late starters are most dangerous because when they do, they take up 2nd wife straight-up. Middle starters are likely to have a love child because of inexperience, while early starters are usually very smart, they've master the artistry over years. Note that we are not discussing consequences of cheating though, they are numerous. bashy_demy; hilli666, richvkunt; tunnytox and others who share same tot on this issue. I truly commend you guys not because you are promoting the act of cheating, (we all agree it's bad) but for saying the realistic truth. If anyone is too passionate about the act to be disillusioned, let them be; perhaps it high time we open another thread for cheaters so that we can compare notes. You are allowed to criticize my stance on this but first think about it critically while you must have excel in the 3 categories as enumerated above. |
Let the groove begins, maybe the sound of bomb blasts from North and South will wake our brother at the center to reality that all is not well. |
But sincerely if sinners do not go to church, where else would they go? A pastor can only preach, teach and lead, whatever you chose to do is entirely your business. |
bashy_demy:My brother, no try some jealous guys ooo, don't go near bororo girls, they are probably married from birth; and don't mess with Shuwa-arab girls, they don't rival and belief me they carry small knife everywhere. Really, if a woman want to cheat, she is most likely to conceal her marital status, you cant be more careful. I hope you'll pay me for the tips. ![]() |
ronkebp:Yeepa! Moogbe! Magun don reach USA? well, If you must know, anti-Magun exist. |
tpia@:Do you have eye problem or problem in understanding English? Please don't derail this thread as you did in some other ones. |
I still do not understand the benefit in this NYSC scheme in the present situation, yet we claim we have National Assembly. funny enough, non of NA member will allow any of their children/family member to go anywhere near the troubled zones in this country. I strongly suggest that corp members should form a forum and present a position paper to federal government, make plenty noise and see if something will not be done. I though SW and SS governors said they will not allow their children to be posted to north for NYSC after post elelction crisis or it was just a political statement. Ideally, one should expect that some state be flagged for NYSC scheme activities except on personal request as in the case with bauchi state. |
tpia@:but they don't have to cheat on their wives for this to happen. |
eddybanty:Please substantiate with proofs. konsult:It takes only a mature mind to appreciate a leader like OBJ. |
An adage in yoruba says '' Eni pa oba kii gbe ilu'' meaning whoever kills the king does not stay in the community. Deposition of a king is tantamount to killing a king, as the king cannot enter that community again. Though it may not be the Olori's fault but situation concerning her led to the deposition. I hope she has been having the renal failure before the fight, if not , Oro pesi je. Kai, i pity her children. May her soul RIP. |
totorimi:wishful thinking. GEJ do not need your advice, PDP has already told him what to do. |
chaircover:Chaircover: Time is the only defining factor in this issue, ask men who have 40-50 years marriage experience. ''Ogbon ologbon ki je ka pe agba ni were'' |
ronkebp:Ronke-bp! 3x, you no wan carry last sha, na wah for you ooo. I think you are in the category of ladies with good attitude please keep it up. but sincerely even if your husband is found cheating, your option above is not a solution. If you dare it in naija, you will be sent parking and another woman will take over your labour; even if court rule in your favor, you still have the family to contend with, even your parent will be disappointed and you may likely hear the story you've never been told before- from your parent. You cannot keep a man on his toes, but he can keep himself on his toes- if he choose to. |
ronkebp:Uhmmmm . . . drive carefully, you have just been warned . . . |
ronkebp:You are lucky you are in States but let me sound this note of warning to you: If you are single, make sure you look for husband overthere, If you are married, don't ever allow your husband to come home for whatever reason. They are never without sweet nigerian girls when they get to naija. If you are so passionate about this issue, follow your mind and stay away from marriage, after-all it's better to remain forever single than be married to a cheat and see if you'll not crave for a cheating bastard by the time you clock 40 yrs |
Bawss1:I will take this to mean that you have not personally maintain a car before (single), perhaps you just call your mechanic (husband) to fix it up anytime you have issue; that is if you get chance to do that at all (Oga-madam). On the tyre analogy, an experienced driver understand that a brand new tyre can give way anytime due to a lot of factors such as bad roads, sharp objects, excess pressure, loose valve etc etc. In fact a brand new car can breakdown without warning. I would suggest you try another analogy, this car/tyre analogy is just too inadequate to drive off your point. Really i will accept that not all men cheat their wives if 50 men out of 717,268 members on NL who have been married for 50 years can testify that they have never cheated on their wives in their 50 years of marriage. why 50 years? because i belief that for a man to be that old in marriage, he must be at least 75 years old, he must has seen it all and probably sexually irrelevant/inactive to sexual pleasure than younger men. |
Bawss1:HA HA HA HA HA HA Read you comment again and criticize yourself. Look at it this way, If a car did not break down today does not mean it will not break down all, it is a matter of time. It could be as small as having a flat tyre. Isn't it suffice to say that car break down is natural with cars. HA HA HA HA HA HA ![]() |
Nakingson:Guy, stop there. No make me vex ooo. Try and be on the stance of reality, 6 years into marriage is not enough to brand yourself a sincere husband: no offense intended though. If you must know, I sincerely dated my wife for 13 good years before marriage and i have spent more years in marriage than you; simply put, I and my wife have been together for more than 20 years. To me, that is the short-run, but as time fly by it just started happening, truth is I cant say exactly how or when it started. In my case it just started flowing naturally not on a regular basis though ( 2wice a year at most and av done some years without it) and at most a couple of weeks max. I can never be a victim of any love child nor 2nd wife palava because i know the odds and my ladies understand and are ok with it. My strength is: keep it very brief and simple. The irony is that if you are opportuned to meet me and my family and you are single, you may wish for a committed husband like me, and if you are married, you'll recommend me as a role model to your husband not to add that my wife would kill you if you dare connect her wonderful husband to infidelity. Please ladies, don't crucify me on this, am only responding to the thread from a realist point of view. I no dey deceive myself. |
maybe i should just add another dimension to this issue for d sake of our friends outside d country. This days in naija, if a lady wants a man. she go all out to achieve this to d extent of jazzing him up and to think that married men and comfortable guys are their target for whatever reasons. Look at this scenario, how many men can bost that they have not backslidden in their commitment God talkless of humans like themselves in this context their wives, what is d % and how many wives are lucky enof to be in this category? often times some of them end up in disaster of a lovechild or 2nd wife. I am not saying there are no exceptions but in my opinion as naija is concerned, it is a matter of time. funny enough those women will be too preoccupied with marrital issues to share their true life experience on NL. |
Having read d different contributions to this topic, i would suggest the poster defined d term 'cheat' that will give a clearer picture of the context of cheating. If cheating is defined as a situation that is sexually inclusive, then I will argue to the contrary. If however it is defined as a relationship with another lady apart from ones wife and it's sexually exclusive, I will conclude that all men are guity. perharp the chance to draw down has not or did not present itself. some men are not out to cheat, cheat come to them. I agree that some men can withstand tough temptations on the short run but belief everyman has a breaking point at the long run. In my opinion, the degree at which each man get involved determines the test of sincerity. As a matter of fact, a man who has a very clean slate are most dangerous. My precious ladies/wives in d house, I salute your commitments and beliefs but please stand on realistic stance because of high BP, honestly I refused to be delusioned that a man can attain perfection in this matter when he is not God. ent itself. some men are not out to cheat, cheat come to them. tpia@:I'd rather think Lagos is having it share of the implications of global climatic change, aggravated by poor human factor in the metropolis. Note also that flood killed 8 people in northern state of Katsina. De-congesting Lagos is a good option if they can partner with neighboring states because i don't see Lagos raising the type of fund required to sustain it under current circumstances and population. |
