Expert17:The damage had already been done here in your image. Check my image before the ball left De Gea’s boots. Eriksen ran towards De Gea to receive the pass. He’s touted as one of the best ball players in the league and he’s better on possession than Maguire or Shaw. De Gea trusted him but Eriksen betrayed that trust. |
Android22:If that pass had gone to Pogba in the same circumstance, he would have maneuvered his way out of the press through sheer strength and his love for ground duels. Eriksen was a wet pipe. Rodri, Fabinho, Kante, Casemiro and even Partey would have received that ball, beat the press and move the ball along like the incident never happened. No player should be comfortable on the pitch thinking he won’t be pressed when receiving the ball. It was Eriksen that actually demanded for the ball by darting towards De Gea to receive the ball. How is that De Gea’s fault? You can see Eriksen running towards the ball in this image even before the ball left De Gea’s boots. He demanded for the ball and then lost the ball. De Gea could have ignored and passed to Maguire but he doesn’t trust neither Maguire or Shaw.
|
Expert17:It wasn’t a red zone, Eriksen wasn’t strong enough. OPTA had it as Eriksen’s error. DDG completed a pass. |
Expert17:I have told you many times, that wasn’t a De Gea mistake. It was Eriksen’s mistake. De Gea passed to Eriksen, Eriksen got the ball and his pass to another defender was intercepted. |
neztar:Alisson is the better keeper overall. He has at least 8/10 in every goalkeeping attribute. Ederson has 9/10 with his feet but he’s average in every other goalkeeping attribute but Pep doesn’t mind. Ederson’s good footballing ability suits Pep just fine cos he’s going to hug possession 80% of the time anyway. Opponents will have to make every chance count to get the better of Pep. They will have to produce 2 or 3 goals with their 20% possession which is very very rare and Pep is fine with that low probability than getting an actual goalkeeper. |
Expert17:We can both agree on top 15. ![]() Android22:You said his mistakes with his legs are zero but there are plenty of mistakes with his legs on YouTube. It’s just that those mistakes weren’t punished but they were mistakes regardless. |
Android22:That’s not what I read. I saw someone wrote he has never made a mistake with his legs. When the correct statement should have been the mistakes he makes with his feet have never been punished. |
Expert17:That’s Pep’s opinion and what works for his style of play. Ederson won’t be in my top 10 of the best goalkeepers in Europe. We are discussing his legs instead of his hands. Why is he even in a conversation of the best goalies? Dean Henderson is a better shot stopper than Ederson. |
Android22:The crux of this discourse is that he makes no mistakes with his legs. He does but he’s not been punished for it. These are two different matters. Has Ederson made mistakes or miskick a ball? Yes. Has he been punished for the mistake? No Lack of punishment does not mean he hasn’t made a mistake. |
Expert17:If Ederson plays for Man Utd, he would be winning golden gloves too behind Maguire and Shaw? I posted a stat that he faced only 88 shots in the league last season and you are telling Pep’s style doesn’t protect him. Why is he facing less shots than his colleagues? Opposition strikers love him or Ederson uses charms on them not to take shots? |
Android22:Inconsequential mistake. If any outfield player made that mistake leading to a shot on target, you would curse him out. But the majestic Ederson has no blame if he misplaces a kick that barely missed the target. Everybody makes mistakes. |
Expert17:There are plenty of errors. I don’t watch City that much. |
Android22:So it’s not a mistake because it didn’t lead to a goal? |
Android22:He said passing from the back. He didn’t specify what body part was used to pass the ball. ![]() |
Android22:But Ederson had no control at that point and it was a mistake that could have easily led to a goal. This is an example. https://youtube.com/shorts/qBT_AOFidKE?feature=share |
Expert17:McTominay’s goal wasn’t an error? ![]() |
Android22:He’s made mistakes with his legs, failing to control a simple back pass and then having to make a last ditch effort to prevent an own goal. There’s no keeper in the world immune to making mistakes when passing from the back. Strikers are so smart that they would lure you into a trap and the best GKs in the world become victims. |
Expert17:He has 6 errors leading to a goal and he’s conceded 3 penalties in his PL career. Pep’s style of play protects Ederson. They hug possession 70-80% of the time. It’s difficult to expose Ederson to mistakes. |
kokaneprodigy:There’s no escape route. ETH doesn’t know his team yet. He’s only been at the job few seconds ago. We might yet see Maguire on Sunday out of pity and that would have consequences. If ETH plays his strongest team, Arsenal would die on Sunday. They died last season at OT with a useless United team. Arsenal rarely do well at United. You could count how many times they have won in PL games at OT. Arsenal fans would make excuses that their recent injury and maybe a poor refereeing decision caused them the loss. Even their greatest teams come to OT to suicide themselves. I am not scared of Arsenal. Newcastle scare me more than Arsenal FC. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:So according to Gistlover, Tinubu traveled to AMERICA with a female passport in the 70s. He must have dressed as a woman because he lacks feminine features. I am also guessing he had to speak with a soprano voice when talking with immigration officers at the port of entry. Someway somehow, he struck luck and he was allowed into the country. Someway somehow, he also used the passport that carried a female gender to register in an American school to study. Nobody else saw that the passport carried a female gender. Some of you have never been to an airport before. This is why this would carry any interest. Nigerians are the most deluded, the most basic and the most low thinking human beings on the planet. This is why anyone would sit down and write this rubbish and pass it as investigative journalism. Dumbfucks!!!! |
MRTA7:Arsenal’s fixtures were very favorable and Arteta knew his squad well enough before the season kicked off. If ETH had left Maguire and Shaw on the bench in the first two games, United could have had 100% perfect start too. Arsenal played against bottom 10 teams of last season and 2 newly promoted(Fulham and Bournemouth). The best team they have played in that 5 game run is Leicester at the Emirates which United put away in a 2nd gear last night away from home. I want to see Arsenal against a top 6 side before I am convinced they have turned a corner. Unless ETH gets his line up wrong, United should beat Arsenal convincingly on Sunday. This overhyped Arsenal team will not beat Klopp’s Liverpool that ETH put away. |
neztar: FirstbornWds:He doesn’t have a weakness passing from the back. I can actually say he’s pretty good in that aspect as every goalkeeper has been trapped into a mistake passing from the back. Ederson who’s made himself a king in passing from the back has been caught out many times. I remember him giving the ball directly to McSauce that led to a goal at Old Trafford. Alisson isn’t as good as Ederson with his foot but that doesn’t mean Alisson is weak in that aspect. He’s well above average. Alisson is a better shot stopper, the better one-v-one goalie and Alisson commands his box better than Ederson. |
eph12:That’s the luxury Alisson and Ederson have been getting for the past 6 years and they won golden gloves without getting their shirts dirty. Ederson faced only 88 shots last season Alisson faced about 103 shots last season De Gea faced 181 shots because of Maguire.
|
Maguire warming up? We might yet lose this game. |
World class save by De Gea. Henderson ain’t catching that. |
Expert17:Ole the fraud. ![]() Expert17:That pass was delicious. Holy Spirit used Rashford today that he didn’t attempt to shoot. He played a neat pass to Sancho. Bruno’s ceiling is as high if not higher than KDB’s. Bruno’s bottom level is the difference. When he’s shit, he’s worse than Djemba-Djemba level. However, KDB’s worst display ever is never below 6/10. Bruno’s worst display can be as low as 1/10. |
Aubameyang to Chelsea!!!!! This new Chelsea owner don try abeg.
|
donstan18:Player POWER!!!! |
Jokerman:You could see the entitlement as he was speaking to Jose. It’s the power of the British passport. Mourinho also called Dele Alli into the office. He told Dele….”yesterday, I was 20. Today I’m 56. Time flies.” He said If Dele doesn’t get his acts right, Dele is going to regret it one day. Today, Dele is now in the Turkish league playing for Beşiktaş. Everton felt he’s not good enough to play for them. |
Casemiro on the bench against Leicester. This ETH must have balls of steel to think Rashford, Elanga and McSauce can cause any serious damage to Leicester. This is a terrible line up. |
Jose Mourinho with another win. Watford have terminated Danny Rose’s contract. In 2019, this dude walked into Jose’s office at Spurs to demand why he wasn’t playing regularly. Danny Rose later threatened Jose that he would report Jose to Daniel Levy in the Spurs Amazon documentary. “See where they play, when they play, if they play”. https://twitter.com/dezfootie/status/1565319097574891521?s=21&t=w8-6pmR-yQZcPPJrbV28dg |
