Guys. . . I understand your fury and disappointment. wink

But you must admit ,Benitez screwed things around too much. . .add that to the inept owners . . .you have nothing but a walking timebomb !

I honestly believe Roy will deliver, the fact is a lot of the players are underperforming at the moment (Torres inclusive).

We have faced 3 of the 4 likely EPL contenders already,we came up short ,but the next few weeks should vindicate my trust in Hodgson.

As always my dear friends . . . . . .

Not a bad idea. I only hope its not an excuse to bring back the Arabic on our currence.

Does anyone have the picture of the other side?

For those saying Lamido wants his signature on the naira at all costs, you obviously haven't been looking at your naira notes. He gets to sign any notes produced after he took over at the CBN and that includes replacement notes.

This has absolutley nothing to do with Obama or anyone else.

Stop spreading falsehood . . .simple !

Religion / Re: Christians That Can Speak And Understands Arabic by illusion2: 5:44pm On Sep 17, 2010
@abulbaanat - You're obviously new to NL. This thread is for Christians who understand arabic, you're freee to comment but no need to attack people's beliefs.

Islam vs Christian doctrine has been severally thrashed and you don't need to bring them up again. Just do a proper search on NL wink .

I am really interested in this ,as I'm a christian studying arabic (speaking) at the moment.

Finally,I laugh whenever muslims bring up a list of 'christians' who have converted to Islam cheesy - to me this proves absolutely nothing. Everyone knows Christainity permits anyone to leave the fold, whereas conversion from Islam is punishable by death .

Thats why I honestly pity the British/US and other western governments.

They give all religions full freedom in their countries, while Muslim countries(Saudi,Pakistan etc) deny all religious minorities (including muslim minorities like Ahmadiyya,Sufi,Shia) their rights .

Shalom. . . .

:Mr Cork::

ODEWINKY?? wha kinda name is that? I bet he IBO (no oofeinse) angry
Stop being an ignoramus & learn how to spell 'offence' tongue .
BTW he's from Edo state wink

REALITY101:

West Brom fans will show solidarity with Osaze Odemwingie at Saturday's Premier League match against Tottenham.
Fans will unfurl a banner to counter a racist one displayed at the Nigeria striker's former club Lokomotiv Moscow.
Last month, Russian fans displayed a banner emblazoned with 'Thanks West Brom' with a picture of a banana after the black player left the club.
Danny Lynch of anti-racism group, Kick It Out says that "the banner was overtly racist".
West Brom's banner, created with Kick It Out, reads "Thanks Lokomotiv" and is accompanied by a picture of Odemwingie celebrating his winner on his debut against Sunderland last month.
The banner will appear at Saturday's Premier League match against Tottenham.
"To see messages coming from Lokomotiv fans that were the sort of messages hurled towards black players over here in the seventies just shows how developed we are as a footballing nation," said West Brom fan Martin Greenwood, who orchestrated the response.
The Nigerian was signed from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow three weeks ago.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/8989926.stm

This had little to do with anti-racism ,but more to do with England trying to take advantage of the situation against their main rivals for the 2018 world cup slot (Russia). Nice initiative on their part tho' kiss .

Islam for Muslims / Re: Islam And Exorcism by illusion2: 9:03pm On Sep 01, 2010
Jarus:

@Illusion2,
Thanks.
But I'm too sure this is a case of Jinn. Moreso, like you, the person in question initially doubted the existence of Jinn, and how a Jinn can influence human etc until he comes to this reality.
Seeing that we speak from different realms, I'll not argue here other than what I have written from the beginning of this thread. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, not all cases of abnormality are Jinn, some are just pathological disorder, solvable by orthodox medicine.
Mind you I'm not an illiterate, so I don't just take anything, especially as a philosophy student, but the case of Jinn, whether one believes it or see it as fairy tale, is reality.
I have witnessed so many real life cases to still doubt it, not to mention the fact that Qur'an and hadith extensively discuss it, which as a Muslim I must never death.
I swear by God almighty that created me that Jinn existence and their existence are reality. May God punish me if I lie about it.

J,I'm not doubting the existence of jinns (or demons), as it is fundamental to my Christian faith - just as angels,Heaven,Hell etc are  !

What Im saying is that people are quick to associate issues/problems with someone in the village or witch or jinn.

I'd rather your friend seeks proper medical help before concluding a jinn is at work. . . my example above speaks for itself.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Islam And Exorcism by illusion2: 8:02pm On Sep 01, 2010
My brother Jarus ,
I'll strogly advise your friend sees a specialist urgently !

The normal thing in Nigeria is to blame a 'close family member or villager' for any problems we have.

Isn't it funny this relation has control over jinns and your friend & the Imam have no answer but to point to the source of the jinn ?  undecided

I have countless examples & I'm sure you have much more of people who fall sick suddenly or who come across some unexpected mishap, blame some old woman or witch in the village for their woes(its always in the village isn't it ?). . .

But I really feel we (Nigerians) overestimate the impact of jinns, witches, demons in our lives and this is understandable due to the poor state of medical infrastructure and other concomitances of underdevelopment.

I strongly suspect there’s a jinn behind IBB’s presidential ambitions . . . . .  cheesy [/b]
