1stCitizen: Stipulating a percentage of income demands a minimum payment as benchmark . Get a better understanding of compulsion.
When you give all your income(100%) or any amount with a happy heart then that is not compulsion.
Have you noticed that Africans and African Americans are the greatest tithers and remain the most economically disadvantaged people. Do the maths. God does not bless you because of your tithe or is there any devourer that will take your blessing for not tithing.
The devourer will have power to visit you for not tithing love or sowing love but For preaching hate and inciting violence against the teaching of Christ.
He blesses you for your sacrifice which he may also choose to reject like Cain's. Other races are making sacrifices for the advancement of mankind and they have their nations as proof. See Africa. God cursed it no doubt for things like brother ripping brother off in his name.
I used to be a tither. Check my old posts where I preached that people should tithe. I have seen the light. Africans pay the most tithe. Dunno where u got that from. But that's not the point. Thank God you have seen the "light" and you are no more paying. Tell me, what has that 10 percent done for u? What I mean is that it is not compulsory you pay. No one is forcing you. |

seunfly: But the rule of God did not specify that you must pay it to pastor, it says the levite, the fatherless, the widow and the stranger. In a nutshell, all this group has equal and same right to it. Why give it to pastor only? That rule you quote was the modified one given by Moses which was fulfilled after the death of Christ. Go read how Abraham paid tithe. |

Tithing wasn't a law given by Moses. It was a thing even before Moses birth. Abraham paid tithe. Moses only modified it with the law. That modification was what was abolished with Jesus death. |

God openly declares the true facts in the Qur'an, saying that He used His divine might to raise this blessed prophet, alive, to the heavens. For those who look at the greatness of the divine might and its manifestation in the universe, with millions of creations, with the eye of the heart, it is impossible to regard the raising of a glorious prophet, in body and soul, to the highest levels, as an untrustworthy Whether he replaced someone is irrelevant. The point is that God made them think they killed Jesus. Any particular reason why God didn't just save Jesus? Why did he have to make them think they killed Him? |

1stCitizen: Yes before his death abolished the law. The New testament also says we should not give out of compulsion.
The gift of giving is spiritual and not material. I have stopped being deceived by reading the bible myself rather than listen to the interpretation of charlatans than might never make heaven. Dunno why everyone is quoting me on this tithe thing now. It's a very old thread and i don't think I have the stomach to argue on this anymore. Will just point out two things though from your post. 1. Paying Tithe came before the law. It wasn't a law set up by Moses. 2. It is not out of compulsion. |

aminusanti: Sorry I can't be giving short2 answers without explaining them in details thats not a good approach for better understand. So, I will be detailing my answers based on your queries and within the topic.
Like I said in my previous post the Jews wanted to kill him bcus he was trying to get them to leave their evils ways and return to the true teachings of Musa(Moses)(AS). But they didn't like this one bit so they hatched a plot to kill Isa(AS) but God Almighty saved him from them and raised him up.
»Matthew 15:24« "I was sent only to help God's lost sheep--the people of Israel."
He was sent to the lost ones possibly not all are lost.
They accused him of Blasphemy.
Pls consider reading my explanation below so that u don't just claim I said blasphemy much later.
You want to claim that since Jews accused him of making blasphemous remarks in (john 10:25-33) and made himself as God then this means he is God. Such an argument only exposes how desperate Christians are in trying to prove Jesus is God but lets read this below
Jesus himself gave them (the jew) a very strong rebuke: »Matthew 12:38-39« 38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation [/b]seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas
Notice what Jesus had to say about the Jewish nation, he called them evil, and adulterous, yet now Christians want us to believe that these same lying Jews are correct! In fact, Jesus also shows that these Jews killed OTHER prophets: »[b]Mat 23:37« O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not! So the Jews had killed and stoned other prophets before Jesus came to them! One only has to wonder what those men were stoned for, it is obvious that they were also most likely stoned for the same reason as why they wanted to stone Jesus, they most likely accused those men of blasphemy and making themselves as God.
But instead of looking at what the hypocrite evil Jews said about Jesus, why don’t we look at what the true believing Jews said about Jesus, did he think he was God, or a prophet: »Matthew 16:13-14«
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets So note, Jesus asks his students who do the men say I am, and the men say that he is one of the prophets; none of them said he is GOD! How strange, you can never find anything in the Bible of believing Jews believing that Jesus is God, never! You will always find that the Jews who believed in him took him as a prophet, and a great man who definitely came from God, but was not God. In fact the Jews who wanted Jesus dead were always wrong, they never understood anything of what he said, and since they already didn’t like him, and were looking for trouble, this would cloud their minds and not make them think rationally about Jesus’ statements.
For instance in this case, Jesus said that he and the Father were one, how in the world is that blasphemous?! Had the Jews listened carefully to him, they would have seen that he meant one united, one in the same cause, as the disciples are also one with them, all together! The Jews thought that him saying I and the Father are one meant that he is the Father! So they went crazy, they did not understand what he meant, since to them the Father was the true God, Jesus saying him and the Father is one sounded like he was claiming he is the Father to their ears. Perfectly understood. Thanks for taking your time with this. Now this brings us to the "death". If I am to sum up all what you explained, the Jews wanted him dead because he called them out for their wrong doings and then accused him of blasphemy when he didn't really blasphem. Good. Now when they wanted to kill him, God saved him. That's understandable. God also placed another person in His stead. This is the part that confuses me. Why exactly would God do that? Probably make em kill an innocent just to He can save his prophet? |

aminusanti: you can decide to conclude it anyhow that will suit you but anytime u r ready for the truth you can always refer to my last2 post which i already explain in detail and i ask u question u refuse to answer
As for ur 2nd query, nothing makes his teachings different from the other prophets b4 him which was to worship our creator alone without associating partners but ur bible said they wanted to kill him because he claim to be son of God which is not even close to the truth, any time you want to discussion on that topic "son of God" pls tag me. The main reason why the jews wanted to kill him was Because he was trying to get them to leave their evils ways and return to the true teachings of Musa(Moses)(AS). But they didn't like this one bit so they hatched a plot to kill Isa(AS) but Allah(SWT) saved him from them and raised him up. This happens to most of the prophets of God, do a little research on that n you will see nothing differentiate him from other prophet in terms of trial OK. Let me get this straight. The Jews no longer followed the law and Jesus was trying to make them go back to following the laws of Moses, so they tried to kill him. So if you may, what exactly did they accuse him of? |

Why don't u tell us why? So basically, Paul and Satan spread a false message way faster than Jesus, his twelve and God. So that's concluded. And you really should answer my second question. ☆Luke 4:8 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
☆Genesis 17:3 Abram fell face down on the ground. Then pray God ☆Number 20:6 Moses fell on his face and prayed ☆Jushua 5:14 Jushua fell on his face and prayed ☆Matthew; 26:39 Jesus fell on his face and prayed
they all pray to God and they ask their follower to do the same without any intercession.
☆John 7:16 So Jesus told them, "My message is not my own; it comes from God who sent me. (A MESSENGER)
When u read John 8:28 u will surely see dis verses r contradicting each other , from there u can know is the Liar
To God nothing is impossible, we have seen similar cases to other prophets b4 jesus
[QURAN 003:059] The similitude of Jesus before God is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.
again there r alot of greater miracles done by some prophet b4 jesus by the permission of God. Jesus can't do a single miracle by himself thats how u view it but thats complete wrong. Paul deceived no one but himself and the one that fall in his trap, he was the one that jesus prophesize in ur bible as antichrist and God Almighty allowed it to happen in other to know the true followers of God. Try not judge a religion based on it size
"Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong if everyone is doing it"
Pls help me answer this below
☆ Jesus was disguised as a gardener. Why would Resurrected bodies need to be disguised as a gardener? ☆Jesus forbids Mary Magdalene from touching him. because Jesus’s physical body was hurt and not yet fully healed. It would hurt Jesus if Mary touched him. (John 20:15-17) does ressurected body feel pain?
☆Jesus says that he had not yet ascended unto his father, which means he was alive. (John 20:17) ☆Mary Magdalene was not afraid to recognize him. Proving Jesus was alive. (John 20:16) why?
☆In the upper room, Jesus shows his hands and feet to show he wasn’t a spirit but he was alive. (Luke 24:36-49)
☆The Disciples, who were not there during his alleged crucifixion were overjoyed to see him. They were overjoyed because he was alive. (See above verse)
☆Jesus eats broiled fish and honey comb to prove he was alive. Ressurected bodies don’t have physical bodies therefore resurrected bodies don’t need to eat. DO THEY? (Luke24:36-49)
☆The disciples hear from Mary Magdalene that Jesus was alive. (Mark 16:9-11)
☆The sign of Jonah, Matthew 12:40. The completion of the sign of Jonah is only if Jesus survived his ordeal as Jonah before him survived his.
☆During the days of jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petition with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.. whats this verse saying pls?? Sir. You are diverting. Explaining those verses you quoted above will derail this thread. Let's save that for another day. Now let's assume I agree with you. Jesus was a prophet. Jesus didn't die. His followers preached Islam (even though there is absolutely no proof of that). The Gospels were corrupted and all that. So let's leave the four Gospels out now. Are u telling me that the 12 of them (and Jesus) couldn't get even one Islamic convert? Now the second question. If Jesus was just another prophet, what made his teachings different that the Jews actually wanted to kill him? |

So basically, Jesus and His followers actually accomplished nothing. Remember Jesus told them "greater things shall you do in my name". So According to you, Jesus lied. So what was the point of the whole drama behind Jesus birth? Prophesies? Virgin birth? John the Baptist preparing a way for him, the miracles, in fact according to your logic, Jesus was a prophet of Islam but a failed prophet of Islam as even His followers were outsmarted by a false prophet named Paul. 12 against 1. 12 for God, 1 for Satan. That one won and gave birth to the biggest belief system in the world today. And as for Noah, he actually fulfilled his destiny by continuing humanity. But let us focus on Jesus. |

yes. as i mentioned earlier jesus followers/disciples and Paul were not preaching the same doctrine and did not believe in the same jesus , the early followers and disciples of jesus they submit to the will of God Almighty and follow the commandments and anyone who follow the teachings of jesus and submit to the will of his maker he/she is a muslim and again islam means submission. I can provide proofs for my claims Good. Now let's assume the followers of Jesus (12 of them) preached Islam. How come there was absolutely no record of Muslims till the birth of the prophet Muhammad? They obviously weren't doing a good Job, don't you think? |

aminusanti: Ok I agreed with some of your views but my point here is the Bible is a mixture of word of historian, word of theologian, word of the prophets, word of God etc unlike Quran which we believe to be word of God with 0 contradiction but d hadiths some contain errors no doubt and if u can present 1 contradiction from the Quran I will accept any hadith that u quote against Quran.
As for the bible without single doubt it has in it many contradictions and errors because its all in one book, thats why I am saying since your Bible consist all in one book there are errors and contradiction which I can put forward in a different thread why don't you do as the muslim by identifying non-authentic and weak hadith?
As for the Apocalypse of Peter I wont bother quoting it again in our discussion since u rejected it for not being authentic without reason, but I will present to u from your NT & OT how the crucifixion contradicted many verses
If you can accept n agreed some hadiths are not authentic why is it hard for u to accept the words of Luke, mathew, mark, historian, theologians in the bible can hav some errors n contradiction?? You have to understand that we believe that the Bible was inspired by God. Anything inspired by cannot be false. Yes! This contained testimonies of people and most of them were first hand witnesses of Jesus life here on earth. But we are not talking about contradictions now. We should discuss it on another thread though. So I can point out some I found in the Quran so you can clear them up for me. |

If he has a point based on your explanation then that mean no muslim should be participating in this thread or any other xtian n muslim debate?
* Do muslims believe in Bible to 100% word of God? NO * Do you christians know about? Yes * why are they debating always? *Do muslims quote bible verses in debate? YES *Do we muslims believe bible was corrupted and altered? YES * How do we prove that it was corrupted? »by identifying contradiction within it »comparing it with earlier scriptures etc * who wrote this Book "Apocalypse of Peter"? One of the Disciples of Jesus. * Was dis book been use for centuries after jesus was gone ? YES
One can say he/she disagree with the scripture of "Apocalypse of Peter" as a christian by presenting his reasons but u can't stop me from making ref with it if I can present facts from it, there are a lot of things in it that correspond with the present bible today and most of dis they sometimes use to give example with all dis early christian scriptures which I believe someday you will come across it
Agreed muslims considered some hadith authentic and some not authentic. These 2 things that u are trying to compare here can never be the same as u said above.
A hadith dat is considered non authentic hadiths or weak if they r contradicting to the teaching of Quran or that has a long chain of narrator like from 1 person to another and another and it becomes something different at the end, As we all know the early stage of it's transmitted as word of mouth then much later put it in written by people so If the chain of narrators is not reliable it will be considered as weak or not authentic. there r certain methodology use when analyzing hadith authenticity which I can't xplain here maybe in a diff thread. but in the case of your Bible it is completely a different things I don't know if you ever heard of 'RED LETTER BIBLE' in that version of new testament bible it has the word of jesus written in red which we believe is authentic but the issue is those words of jesus iz only 18% in the NT bible the remaining 82% was written by Paul containing the translation of Mathew, Luke, mark etc In christianity despite all the crystal clear contradiction, errors and alteration in the bible one does have that privilege to analyze and select reliable and non reliable saying of these Luke, Mathew, Mark etc? NO
How are they the same pls??
Peace Sorry for spelling the Hadith wrong . Now let us look at this critically. Any Hadith that contradicts the Quran is comsidered weak. You hold the Quran as you standard. Good. I have nothing against it. But you should understand that Christians hold the Bible as a standard as well and anything that contradicts the Bible is considered weak as well. That's why it was wrong for you to pull out a document like the apocalypse of Peter which you can't 100 percent verify it's authenticity as proof that the desciples didn't preach Jesus death and resurrection. I can pull out the hadith that Mohammed was once processed by an evil spirit. Or the one that days he was lusting for the wife of his god son. Or the one that says Muslims can pray through three goddesses and use it to discredit Islam. But I haven't done that because we can't know which hadith is right or wrong for sure, the same way u can't know how right the apocalypse of Peter is. Even you claim it is not 100 percent authentic. Don't forget that my quote in my question was from the quran (your standards) and not any hadith. My standard is the Bible and it proves that Jesus followers preached about Jesus death and resurrection. So if you want to pull out the apocalypse of Peter as authentic, I'm sorry I will have to start pulling out hadiths. And like I said, I have never heard any Muslim scholar reference that as proof of the falseness of Christianity. Doesn't that tell you something? We aren't theologians so we can't for sure proof that it is authentic. And again I have to tell you that there are no contradictions in the new testament. That's a topic for another day which I will love to discuss with you extensively. |

aminusanti: Appreciated
Right from the start you've contradicted yourself by saying he is not God and much later again you said he is God?? Which one is which pls? I don't know how you will view or interpret the verse below
"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (From the NIV Bible, Numbers 23:19)"
U will never accept Psalm91 verses till u accept the verse above which I know is impossible for u but my simple question for you there is, why would Satan referred to psalm 91 regarding protection if he knw Jesus is God?? Or was satan just doing some kind of rehasals??
»Matthew 4:5-10
•5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple,
•6 and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’” Comment: pls why would satan tempts jesus by quoting those verses if theyr not meant for him
•7 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’”
•8 Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
•9 “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.”
•10 “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
Now let us talk about your "son of God" statement. Did you notice Jesus referred to himself as "Son of man"? This might shock you, but in Jewish custom, Son of God was nothing divine. Son of man on the other hand was a divine term. Proof? I will show you. Daniel 7: 13 and 14. “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” now compare this verse to mark 14: 61 and 62. 61] But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Lol..my friend pls am not new to your bible The phrase "son of man" carries no implication of divinity on the part of the person so described. The phrase clearly means "man in general" or "humanity" u can check Aramaic Bar enash (Strongs Concordance, Nos. 01247 and 0606 for meaning). The phrase "son of man" appears more the 100 time ur bible Here r some examples
•"As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour [cities] thereof, saith the LORD; [so] shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. (Jeremiah 50:40)"
"Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. (Ezekiel 20:27)"
In all of the above-referenced passages, "son of man," merely is a phrase standing in the place of the name Ezekiel. God could as easily have said:
And he said unto me, Ezekiel, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
-- OR --
And he said unto me, Brother, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
"And it came to pass, when I, [even] I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. And I heard a man's voice between [the banks of] Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this [man] to understand the vision. So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end [shall be] the vision. (Daniel 8:15-17 (King James Version))"
Gabriel, thus, addressed Daniel as "son of man."
Again, no one - Christian, Jew or Muslim - would argue that this form of address proves that Daniel (peace be upon him) was God, the Son or God or part of the Godhead.
If express address of Daniel and Ezekiel by angels and God himself as "son of man" do not make these prophets part of the Godhead, such references to Issa (peace be upon him) in the New Testament no more establish that Issa (peace be upon him) was divine or part of a Trinity.
I already answered on this but lets dot it this way » No Allah did not started christianity because jesus disciples and the early christians doctrines declare that jesus never got crucified and they didnt believe jesus died for there sin and was raised up for their salvation and trinity concept.
They knw and the only satan in flesh here is Paul. Jesus wasn't a failure but this is a test for you people from God to see who look for the truth.
Xtians think that the apostles and paul were preaching the same doctrine and everyone believed in the divine jesus who came to be crucified for the sins of the world. However, if one examines the bible carefully, that person would observe that Paul and the disciples were not preaching the same doctrine and did not believe in the same Jesus.
The Apostles in Jerusalem heard that Paul has been preaching a different doctrine in Galatia and Corinthia. Paul was telling them not to follow the law anymore and that they don’t have to eat kosher meat anymore or to be circumcised (according to Genesis 17::14, the covenant is broken if there is no circumcision) etc. So the Apostles went to Galatia and Corinthia and convinced everyone that Paul is wrong, when Paul heard about this he went straight back to the cities………I can go on and on to prove how d teaching of paul differs from d teachings of jesus I was writing a wrong reply but found myself deleting. Will address ur "son of man" argument much later. But you will do me well to tell me who the "son of man" that Daniel saw was. Now let's do this the simple way. In order for us not to go out of topic, I will ask simple questions. And I need short answers cuz long writings can cloud my understanding. Question one. Did Jesus die on the cross? |

Let us do this one after the other. Please I don't want long answers that beat around the bush cuz they tend to cloud my understanding. I ask, u answer. Short and precise. Like I will always say, we are not arguing but learning. QUESTION 1. did Jesus die on the cross? |

ibtz: Allah protected his Prophet frm harm, afta his ascenscion to heaven, his disciples worshipped God and God alone and preached abt jesus being a Prophet of Gid, but it was paul wu was nt even a disciple that inspired d christianity of today. No jew followed jesus wen he was on earth, hw do u expect dem to follow his disciples. Allah sent guidance to d jews with a man of miraculous birth but they didnt accept still, do u den tink if Allah sent anoda prophet d jews wud hav accepted, no. So he left dem in their falsehood. Note : Jesus was sent unto d jews alone Proof: d story of d canaan woman Matthew 15:22 So basically, jesus was a failure because be achieved nothing. |
