You are cementing my point, the wells aren't being abandoned. Gbaran field is in the Niger Delta. It is the northern exploration that they need to come clean and straight with. There's nothing wrong with the exploration but they should not give false hopes and make meaningless statement about wells full of prospect.

There are no claims to refute or even prove. The OP himself proved incapable of defending his OP. The world is not only operative in one narrow perspective. Issues have different angles. Life has different shades, they complement one another not fight or disprove one another. We have seen physical problems solved by spiritual means before and vice versa. There are many ways provided for problem solving and many styles to score a goal.

If you understand the word "Prospect", the large uncertainty surrounding same are heightened with the oil price glut, the pending confirmation of economical volumes for it to be declared a reserve and the insecurity in the region.

Nothing wrong with exploration, every normal country does that. It is not a Buhari idea, it's been on for decades and the money mentioned was spent over 30years. What is wrong is childish illiterate deception about meaningless prospects of oil. You either find oil or you don't. It's not a hope that it would later appear, that's rubbish. Existing reserves are not abandoned. Deal with facts and mention them.
