styca: hmmm Image123, I beg to disagree here. am tempted to ask you if you are a scientist or a science student?
do you know how and what drives the scientists?
do you know how their minds work?
it has never been a belief in anything rather the enthusiasm to know, to understand and to give interpretations to the observable world.
science BELIEVES that there is an underlying reason, that belief gives them the enthusiasm ..

ifeness: Hell is for those who believe in it.
hehehehe, just like death, right? repent or go to hell literally.
haibe: Even for those who do not! (As long as they are sinners), It doesnt matter what you believe but what is true.

You can close ur eye and say the sun is not shinning but it is, ur believe doesnt stop reality, u can even believe the sky is green but that doesnt change the fact that it is blue.

Thus, u dont have to believe that there is hell, whether u believe or not it doesnt change the fact that all sinners will go to hell. Its very easy to deceive yourself.

Image123 claims he hasn't sinned since he became a Xtian. According to him, for a Xtian to sin would be to invalidate the purpose of Jesus' mission on earth. On my mobile nw, it will be difficut to post a link to that comment.

I think religion gives people an excuse to do whatever crap they want, then 'start' all over with a clean slate, cos some divine entity has forgiven them.

obadiah777: REVELATION CHAPTER 20 IS A SUMMARY OF REV CHAPTER 11 TO REV CHAPTER 19. A RECAP, IF YOU WILL
whether recap or reshoe, the fact is that
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Jesus is coming physically with His saints/armies(Jud 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints). He did not come in 45AD or 193AD. When He comes, every eye will see Him(Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. ) It's not going to be in secret that only a select few(obad77,fmk and their group) will know that Jesus came and stayed a thousand years. He will reign wherever the sun shines.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is This How You Observe The Shabbath? by Image123(m): 7:05pm On Oct 02, 2012
@plap
i have small time for your sabbath talk, so let me reply. You are sincere and you are improving, i have no doubts on that. But you need to understand the new covenant. i'm not saying that anything is wrong with the sabbath. i'm only saying, let's get it right, the religious folks of Jesus'time missed the significance of the sabbath, we ought to learn from their mistakes instead of making the same mistake. The sabbath simply means rest. It is the day of rest. God in His love made it a rule/law that we should rest. Most of people's sicknesses and troubles today is due to lack of rest, so we all should realise that it is very important to rest, both man, animals, and even machines. It's like when i was young, i remember the old ones could get very angry to see young ones not yet in bed, late at night. Even in boarding school, siesta na by force. But as we grew older, nobody forced us to sleep, except at the hospital where they tie you to the bed with something they call drip and say you are on admission. It's the same thing in the Bible, the OT was our schoolmaster(Galat 3:24 In fact, the Law was our teacher. It was supposed to teach us until we had faith and were acceptable to God. ) But now in the new testament, although rest is still very relevant, nobody forces you to go and sleep by 8pm again! It's no more restrained to a particular day or regimentations of don't do laundry or cook. This is what Jesus severally demonstrated that often brought Him at loggerheads with the jewish leaders.

Mat 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
Mat 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Mat 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Is this how you observe the sabbath?

Luk 13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
It is very clear here that Jesus worked on the sabbath day when necessary, He even confirmed it by His own words;
Joh 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

plap, this is plain and clear. Jesus worked on the sabbath day, and He said even His Father worked that way. The Bible states that He had broken the sabbath. He broke it severally to teach us the significance and insignificance.
Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
(BBE) For this cause the Jews had an even greater desire to put Jesus to death, because not only did he not keep the Sabbath but he said God was his Father, so making himself equal with God.
(CEV) Now the leaders wanted to kill Jesus for two reasons. First, he had broken the law of the Sabbath. But even worse, he had said that God was his Father, which made him equal with God.
(ISV) So the Jews were trying all the harder to kill him, because he was not only breaking the Sabbath but was also calling God his own Father, thus making himself equal to God.

In the old testament, a man gathered sticks and God said they should stone him, remember? Just like some kids get the beating of their lives if found by the hostel master/prefect not observing siesta. But here in the new testament, Jesus not only adviced but commanded a man to carry his bed(a whole heavier bunch of sticks).
Joh 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
Joh 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

This made the Jews insane, but Jesus was teaching us a lesson which the Jews never learnt, that the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.

As has been shown, insttead of the Bible stating categorically that Jesus observed/kept the sabbath, the Bible actually states the opposite. But if you insist that keeping the sabbath means to teach in the synagogue on the sabbath, well i'm in line too. i also go to the church on the sabbath day i.e saturdays sometimes, i've also been privileged to teach on the sabbath days. The point is that Jesus taught anytime and anywhere. Nicodemus came to Jesus by night and Jesus taught him. He taught on the mount and by the sea of Galilee, in Cana and in Capernaum, even at Gethsemane and in Jerusalem. he taught on anyday, and of course as a wise evangelist, He still made out time to teach the Jews on the sabbath days too. And so also the apostles. Again, these verse is very clear and you shouldn't literally rob Paul to pay Peter again.
Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Peter said " in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest". He didn't say ALL THINGS Paul wrote are hard to be understood. The verse above is very plain. You may carry a honest poll/survey in your neighbourhood, the sentence is very clear:
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

ijawkid: When I say we sin everyday it means we are imperfect......abi u perfect??

Christ dying for us doesn't mean we became perfect immediately......

It means we have d hope of becoming perfect in Gods kingdom.....

Tell me u haven't made a mistake today....
While you are at it, throwing words anyhow, let me throw you a few. Okay just three, at least in the mouth of three sound witnesses, every word will be established.
-Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
-Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
-2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

So mr, by God's grace, i am perfect. The scripture is given to us so that we should be perfect,
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

And don't dull yourself, some people like me are already perfect, yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
Phi 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Do i make mistakes? there are many types of mistake. Not every mistake is a sin. Sin is to miss the mark of God's standard of righteousness. i can make mistake and forget to shut the door, or buy the groceries, or miss my bus, or step on your head. God is not requiring such angelic perfection of always on time, never forgetting anything, spick-and-span, clothes always ironed and shoe never dusty. But God does not want us to ever commit sin again. That is the mirror shown us in the Bible, it is left to every sincere believer to look into the mirror and correct, with God's grace, every area where he/she is missing it, instead of cockily giving excuses to have the last word on NL.
Christianity Etc › Re: Only 144000 Persons Are Chosen To Ascend To Heaven by Image123(m): 5:36pm On Oct 02, 2012
THAT PROPHESY IS FULFILLED. FMK IS CORRECT.
Guy, don't sell chinko for us here. Here is the scripture that talks about the 1000year reign,

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The verses above are in sequence, i only picked some verses from the passage that boldly state the point on the 1000years, but they are linearly arranged. These is a return or the second coming of Jesus to earth as widely prophecied in the OT and even in the NT by angels.
Even so, Amen. ) It's not going to be in secret that only a select few(obad77,fmk and their group) will know that Jesus came and stayed a thousand years. He will reign wherever the sun shines.

You know, I've been frustrated and angry with you guys. Then, I was uncaring and amused by you guys. Now, I'm just saddened.
This is so funnnnny, yet very pathetic. Imagine all the warning to frosbel on all his various threads, i wonder if anyone has ever been so warned on NL, but the guy is just literally BENT on his course, may God help him. There is barely anyone opening a thread to teach about the Trinity, but frosb and his cohorts are on rampage, and perhaps heat, with the multiplicity and duplicity of threads. As soon as this one is soundly answered, he will bury his head in the sand and open another '99'reasons why he is a fanatic.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

i wonder why no one coincidentally got surprised at those great men in the Bible and utter similar words, i mean Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, Peter, Paul, John. They should have done something that made someone say to them, My Lord and my God. Only a dishonest or ignorant person does not approve that there is one God in three Persons, the Blessed Trinity.
Christianity Etc › Re: Do We Sin Every Day? by Image123(m): 4:34pm On Oct 02, 2012
Ofcus we do...

We sin knowingly and un-knowingly...

By default we make mistakes inadvertently...

So we sin everyday....
If we sin everyday, it either means that Jesus failed miserably in His purpose of coming OR that we fail miserably in obtaining what Jesus came to give us.

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Jesus came to save us from our sins, that was His primary purpose. Anybody still living a defeated life under sin everyday is missing out big time, maybe because he is looking at something else.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.

Zachariah the priest prophesying about Jesus had these to say;

Luk 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
Luk 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Luk 1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Luk 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

God visited His people so that we can be delivered to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life, every day. It takes grace, and that grace has been given already.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

John 1 says "grace and truth came by Jesus Christ". Jesus brought us grace, that's what we get anytime we share the grace, its not just religious or routine. That grace teaches us to live righteously and godly. That grace helps us from perpetually sinning knowingly and unknowingly and making all kinds of mistakes. This is the very purpose for a new testament.

Okay ,let me rephrase , a hell of torment for creatures lasting for an endless eternity or eternal death to wicked souls, which one does your reasoning lean towards.
