For more than 12years I wasn't associating with them. 2009-2012. I know in my core self that there's no truth anywhere else. By 2013, I got baptized, that was when I became a Jehovah's witness. Yes marriage is practical. I would never advise my friend to stay if she is slapped, tossed or beaten. I would allow her make that decision herself instead.

The miracles performed by Jesus and his disciples are not for publicity. And they don't perform miracles everywhere and all the time. The miracles they perform are to show the power of God.

And if they actually happen, it's magic which never originated from God but from the Devil. So you need to identify what a Miracle is and what Magic is. A JW will rather seek the help of witch doctors than pray for miracle. I was once advised by one JW woman to rub some charms in my lips for job interview success and i looked at her astonishingly but said since am not yet a baptized brother that there's nothing wrong with that.

If i didn't have a similar encounter with one, i wouldn't have believed. She was giving her daughter some concoction she got from one traditional healer or herbalist...with restrictions like "do not bath when the sun is out" or "do not eat a certain type of soup or do not take one of the drugs when you are on your period"

This is someone who doesn't miss Sunday and Tuesday study...very very religious with it.
