Family › Re: My Husband Wants To Immigrate To Canada And Abandon Us by ImaIma1(f): 5:33pm On Sep 07, 2022
The kind of things we hear these days. How does a man abandon his family and relocate?

I think you should start from his family...parents, and let them know the situation.

And if he like he should toast the next supervisor since his village people are holding his destiny.

Why did you add God to the first paragraph? You think He wants life difficult for people?

He 'cooked' for the Israelites while they were in the wilderness and all they did was gather daily. He further told them to rest on Sabbath and gather what they needed the day before.

Abeg, remove the 'He is not God' there.

I don't even think the devil stresses people like the husband in the OP.

Your post is spot on BTW.
Lol...as per it's only God that we should reverence; not like He makes life difficult for us.

Stories like this annoy me. A husband should be respected, but he is not God and should not make life difficult for his wife. The lady married a man and not a needy baby that needs to be fed like that constantly.

If man and wife cannot come together to ser how they can make life better for each other, that marriage is trouble.

So washing his own clothes is now a chore for him. What happened to washing machine or dry cleaner? Some men think marrying a wife is equals to acquiring a maid.
Family › Re: Is It Bad To Assist Your Wife Or Fiancee With House Chores by ImaIma1(f): 10:20pm On Aug 22, 2022
truthsayer009:
As a christian or as a normal human being?

Some men grew up with their grandmothers or with parents where doing chores was very normal, nothing special really. That your other friend, when he was a bachelor living alone, who was doing his chores? Does he hire people to come & clean the house, wash his clothes for him. If he has been doing all of this things normally in his own house, so why does it feel strange now?

At the end, everyone should do what works for them. I wouldn't call traditional or modern system bad, anyone that works for the family should be adopted.
When he got married, he felt he acquired a maid.

Wow! Your budgeting is top notch, really commendable. And your wife is the "real mccoy". She's truly your right fit and an awesome person.

Everyone prays to earn well or to marry someone who does. But wherever you find yourself, you have to manage it and make the best of it.
Family › Re: Why I Do Not Want To Have Babies by ImaIma1(f): 8:32am On Aug 20, 2022
jamznato:
As a woman wen your son or duaghter is fine, doing great, and beyond 40 with no child will you fold your hands and keep quiet. A beg leave respect out of this. Your MIL IS NOT HAPPY because HER SON IS NOT MAKING THE RIGHT PROGRESS. Thats the joy of every mother. That's nonsense she is doing, just occupying space in the mans life. If she give birth to even one or adopt se everybody no go chop breakfast last last. All family has challenges which are solved and more are coming so raising a child in that family is not a good news is common everywhere. It depends on how you scale through challenges. So Stop those nonsense babies acts. Start facing marriage realities. Some of you supporting her one day your son will beat you up becos him marry wife
As much as a mother wants to be a mother-hen over her child, she has her limits in her child's home. The son opened his eyes and married a 36yr old career woman. If his mother has a problem with her, she should complain to her son instead of constantly insulting the wife.

The husband should be the one discussing baby matters with his wife and not his mother. She is a third party. And the husband has to caution his mother about her constant insults to the wife instead of hiding behind culture. But it seems like he's using his mother to do to his wife what he cannot do himself, and that is why he is not stopping it.

That statement the mother made about seizing the baby shows how much influence she has on her son especially as he cannot even stop her from attacking his wife.

If her son is not making the right progress, who should she be directing her frustrations to? Her son or his wife?

Record keeping is one thing that Lawyers do very well. So, let's see how semi literate Dino Melaye handles it

Imagine Atikulation appointing semi literate Dino Melaye as Spokesman, these are the type of idiots Atikulation Abubakar is planning to form the federal cabinet.
That means if APC wins again, the problem will still not be solved since it is a problem inherited from PDP.
Family › Re: How Do I Train My 3 N Half Year Old. I'm Lost! by ImaIma1(f):
Davies25:
Hello familylanders,
I have a 3 year old girl who's my life. She's cute, good and almost perfect.
But recently, I've discovered she's intentionally being disobedient. Like, you literally have to threaten her sometimes to do somethings. People say she's spoilt but i don't see that element in her. I just see a growing girl. She doesn't overdo things.

The reason for this thread be say...
Uhm, my girl likes to cuddle, she likes to be touched, more like a cat . I didn't see anything sexual in it until my baby was Caught Kissing a 4 year old male. My heart has been paining me since then. Have i failed as a father?
The mom wanted me to scold her or even beat her but I've been confused. Does she know it's a sexual act or she just saw someone doing it?
Can my baby understand sex education at 3?
What should be my reaction?
I'm lost really.
About being disobedient, it could be that you are not firm enough with her. When kids are growing up, we see some of the things they do as cute and fail to caution them. As they grow, those things become a problem and are no longer cute, and that lapse is actually the parent's fault.

Being strict with them is for their benefit and yours. They can disgrace you outside. You could be telling her to stop something and she will ignore you and continue doing it.

About the kissing, she definitely doesn't know what it means. You and her mum should talk to her about it and make her understand that it is not ok to kiss people.

I don’t think it has anything to do with that, but more about privacy and probably their comfort.

You are right. The brother should stay put.
Since their families have been joined through marriage, they are meant to see her brother as their family too. Asking him to go for their space will be somehow.

Besides, her brother might be helping around the house and she may need that help when the inlaws are around. It may be difficult taking care of the kids and caring for the parents. Because they sound like people that will expect her to run up and down for them.

I'm just trying to understand why the husband wants her brother to leave, because it were me, he would need to give me a very good reason and send me assistance before my brother leaves.
Family › Re: Marriage Wahala by ImaIma1(f): 5:08pm On Aug 14, 2022
pocohantas:
Then she should leave him. If she is so scared of her husband and his people, she wouldn’t go on to have another child in an already volatile marriage.

If they are so capable of this kind of evil you are assuming, what is she still doing there?

She said she has a good relationship with her in-laws in her former thread. So?
In this case, her brother should stay put. Why is the husband insisting he leaves? What do her inlaws want to come and do that they don't want her brother there?

It's not like there isn't enough space for her inlaws with her brother staying there.

Couples need to agree on issues and give reasons for their demands. He cannot just ask her to send her brother away. He has to communicate the reason. She's his wife and not his subject.

I am using general experience to quality all.
If I am going to go by general experience from my side, I wouldn't want to have male children because I have seen so many pig headed boys that stressed their parents out.

But I have also seen the very well behaved and successful ones that give me reason not to generalize.

However for you, all the girls you know have been useless to their parents.

If she was aware, she should have refused it. And she should have avoided his call and stop indulging him.

Whoever read this novel should please summarize in 3 sentences.
We should confront issues; we should ask the electoral candidates whether the conditions of their respective physical bodies can withstand the immense weight of the responsibility that their desired public office entails.

What is at stake is not just the dignity of the said candidate alone.

It is ultimately about the flourishing of the nation because when a leader is healthy, the nation is well too.
