A BRICK Read this line very slowly and let it sink in... If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. THE BRICK A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?" The young boy was apologetic. Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me." Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.. "Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!" God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not. Thought for the Day: If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning. Face it, friend - He is crazy about you! Send this to every "beautiful person" you wish to bless. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. What if, God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service? I thank God for this above message i got a long time a go via email and i wish to share with you Naira landers. there is great need in IDP camps in genuine NGOs who need donations in volunteership, items, cash and kind. contact me if you are interested in helping the needy. thanks. Mods pls put in the appropriate section, thanks |

i watched Prof Ojerinde yesterday on network news and he didnt address the issue of payment of school fees to some of the schools Jamb is sending people there. he only spoke about those staying in neighbouring states being transferred to other states like one living in Ibadan being sent to Abeokuta or Oye. he should remember that many of these people are young (16 years old) and have family in the universities they applied to (free accommodation) and these unis have better facilities than the others. it is well sha. |
i think this is great. show casing kindness is not always showing off, but i see it as a way to encourage and teach others. do you know some people don't know what orphanages are not to mention how to locate one!?! some people are insensitive like that ![]() some people have but feel that those that dont have are lazy or would divert their donations. but that is just an excuse, love does not focus on the odds. some who have benefited from charity have gone ahead to enrich themselves forgetting where they are coming from and what they went thru and others are going thru too. these people are not loving. i commend people who show love and do charity. when u give privately and secretly, it is good and honourable and God will reward you. but when you give and people get to know (like people were broadcasting Jesus' miracles and good deeds in His time) you will spur people to do same and know how they too can contribute to the society. all we do in my organisation as a Charity and Social development group is what we have benefited over the years and learnt from others. God bless the cheerful and generous giver- in time (visits) and in kind (items)

nice plan i wish u safety it is a cool idea but can be truncated by evil minded people but i pray against it in your life and wish u to have a good travel partner PS: i dey look for who go follow me go Bonny Island this August |
Why do people go to some place for education (no disrespect to Benin Rep.) but do they know that after their investments their efforts may not necessarily pay off. eg those who go to Ghana or Cameroun to study law when they return they pay more and are made to do Bar part 1 in the Nigerian law school. ![]() |
God is giving us time to repent and come to Him but many are using their time to concoct more evil all in the name of mammon (money) Hence, some would rather serve money than God- it is a pity all for money to do what? help his mother's rent, buy phone, flex his friends, buy baffs, meanwhile money don finish oh! but the life of the 4 yr old is gone forever! God have mercy on this generations |

in return (James 4:cool. NLders have you notices when you write colon and number eight it turns to a smiley? check some posts that have lists. Meanwhile bad things happen to everyone but what makes the difference is our ability to handle them. for me knowing God and having Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, given the Holy Spirit, i handle bad situations knowing that all things work together for those who love the Lord. God bless you Op |
