OUR THEME FOR THIS MONTH IS EASTER
In the Spirit of Easter let us embrace unity and shun prejudices. It may not be easy, but God will bless your efforts and intention. Sadly many people even Niaralanders do not seem to be making any effort to extend love and acceptance of one another from different tribes. I think I got this write-up from a Nairalander’s post some time ago. I do not claim to be the author, but the issues therein are real and relevant. Please read.
Once I watched a documentary of the Rwandan Genocide ( Ghosts of Rwanda). I wept after seeing this documentary. I wept as I saw men and women butcher fellow countrymen to pieces in cold blood without a blink of conscience. This occurred in a country where more than 90% were Catholics. In 1994, during the genocide, Christian unity was on vacation. Catholics inflicted pain and death on their fellow Catholics on tribal grounds. As I meditate on this, two popular quotations made sense to me. One, “After humans, hyenas are the most ruthless aggressors (Nat Geo Wild). Two, Mahatman Ghandi, after studying the life Christians in India made this statement “I love Jesus, but I hate Christians.”
Tribe and religion are already dovetailing (interweaving) in our electoral process. In all of this, Christians are concentrating not on the furtherance of Christianity, not to obedience to the mandate of Christ which calls us to go and make disciples of many nations. We are not interested in sustaining the Gospel of Christ in Nigeria. Rather, we are consumed with our individual comfort and convenience. Christians are concerned with financial and social security. We are interested in praying for God to grant us promotion in our offices, for money to buy cars, houses and all kinds of luxury; for breakthrough in our businesses. Good as these may be, we should never lose sight of who we are as Christians and what our primary tasks as Christians are. Read Mt. 28: 16-20 and we shall see our primary mission.
Christianity is not a call to success, but a call to faithfulness and discipleship. The Church has stopped grooming disciples but wealthy youths, women and men. Remember, whoever is married to this world will be a widow in the next.
Nigerians must be conscious of what the Nigerian politics is turning into. Christians must be focused and united in both prayer and action. Nigerians, be cautious and vigilant.
“Let anyone who can hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches." (Rev 3:22 NJB). Shalom.

No be today. Im a yoruba girl but i know how these 'agberos' behave in markets. No chill. This is not the 1st yoruba-hausa market fight in lagos and it wont be d last, until the underlying issues are addressed - ecspecially agberoism.

Also, let's look beyond the tribes and focus on the cause. What if both the rider and victim were of one tribe?
It's a case of giving a dog a bad name, just to hang it!
Hausas, Fulanis, Ijaws, Igbos, Yorubas, Ebiras, Binis, Jukuns, Ibibios, Gwaris, and on and on, they have all in one time or the other been in the news for a bad thing, does not mean they are synonymous with bad.
My God! let there be peace and love, save us from this fragile relationship we have as citizens based on tribe and religion, in Jesus name, amen.

But when people see your good works, they praise and thank God Almighty. In giving you cause others to thank God. Also all the good we do is what we learnt from others. If our mentors or parents did not teach us charity how would be know how to show love?

The Lord is my light and my salvation. Nairalanders are encouraged to get more involved in charity, it should be a way of life, not a seasonal occurrence. There are so many ways you can extend God's love even if repeating or emulating what others are doing. Let us not be hearers only but doers of God's Word. Today i was able to get up and exercise!
Once Monday passes and i do not the zeal to on other days grows thin
Exercise is a thing of the mind and body
after exercising you would not see the immediate effect
but as time goes on
with constancy and determination
not only will you see the positive physical changes in your body
but you will be mentally alert and you can have the assurance that
if you set goals, you can reach them.
Personally on alternate days i jog,
when i am approaching my finish line and it seems
i will collapse, i push myself by asking, 'what if this is the race of life? won't i finish strong?'
and trully i not only cross but i am energized to continue my daily routine.

Coincidentally i read Ephesians 4:1-6 this morning which urges unity, tolerance and love! oh yes love! afterall Binis marry Yorubas & vice versa. So also do they interact in schools, jobs, sports, commerce & even entertainment.

OUR THEME FOR THIS MONTH IS RELATIONSHIP
Asides the celebration of Valentine’s Day, daily people gets into relationships for various reasons. Some for long term goals of marriage while some others is for the fling. The difference between those who enter into relationships is mostly in their level of maturity be them male or female.
Girls leave their schedule wide-open and wait for a guy to call and make plans. Grown women make their own plans and nicely tell the guy to get in where he fits.
Girls want to control the man in their life. Grown women know that if he's truly hers, he doesn't need controlling.
Girls check you for not calling them. Grown women are too busy to realize you hadn't.
Girls are afraid to be alone. Grown women revel in it-using it as a time for personal growth.
Girls ignore the good guys. Grown women ignore the bad guys.
Girls make you come home. Grown women make you want to come home.
Girls worry about not being pretty and/or good enough for their man. Grown women know that they are pretty and good enough for any man.
Girls try to monopolize all their man's time (i.e.don't want him hanging with his friends). Grown women realize that a lil' bit of space makes the 'together time' even more special-and goes to kick it with her own friends.
Girls think a guy crying is weak. Grown women offer their shoulder and a tissue.
Girls want to be spoiled and 'tell' their man so. Grown women 'show' him and make him comfortable enough to reciprocate without fear of losing his 'manhood'.
Girls get hurt by one man and make all men pay for it. Grown women know that that was just one man.
Girls fall in love and chase aimlessly after the object of their affection, ignoring all 'signs'. Grown women know that sometimes the one you love, don't always love you back-and moves on, without bitterness.
Girls will read this and get an attitude. Grown women will read this and pass it on to other Grown women and their male friends.
Remember our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are made in God’s image. Youths do not despise your stage in life but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

had a nasty experience by Ojota with BRT.
memories still hurt but all glory to God alone for saving me.
it was like a dream. i crossed to enter BRT line and the same BRT pressed me to the railings of their busstop, everyone was happy to see me alive. but i was scared and in pain for weeks ok days. for a long time i my body had the black marks of the railings. the driver was wicked but i forgive him. funny thing is that the incident gave me direct seat in the bus. the other BRT officials who saw what happened took me through the crowd of those lining up and ushered me into the bus. i sang Don Moen's "You are the Lord that healeth me..."
resp in peace to the dead, lesson to the living, mercy for the driver.
