so this beautiful day in Nigeria we cannot live in peace and harmony? what shall it profit a man if where he comes from is superior to his neighbour's? or what shall a man give in return from the fact that he was born into a group he chose not? whoever caused this 7 pages so far thread that has caused so much hate posts and incorrect historical facts and unnecessary superiority complex should not be happy because those commenting (myself inclusive) would have used our time, energy and internet access to better life and ensure unity. Coincidentally i read Ephesians 4:1-6 this morning which urges unity, tolerance and love! oh yes love! afterall Binis marry Yorubas & vice versa. So also do they interact in schools, jobs, sports, commerce & even entertainment. Lets live in peace! PS: don't waste your time in gossip, strife, bullying, abusing or ridiculing! |

OUR THEME FOR THIS MONTH IS RELATIONSHIP Asides the celebration of Valentine’s Day, daily people gets into relationships for various reasons. Some for long term goals of marriage while some others is for the fling. The difference between those who enter into relationships is mostly in their level of maturity be them male or female. Girls leave their schedule wide-open and wait for a guy to call and make plans. Grown women make their own plans and nicely tell the guy to get in where he fits. Girls want to control the man in their life. Grown women know that if he's truly hers, he doesn't need controlling. Girls check you for not calling them. Grown women are too busy to realize you hadn't. Girls are afraid to be alone. Grown women revel in it-using it as a time for personal growth. Girls ignore the good guys. Grown women ignore the bad guys. Girls make you come home. Grown women make you want to come home. Girls worry about not being pretty and/or good enough for their man. Grown women know that they are pretty and good enough for any man. Girls try to monopolize all their man's time (i.e.don't want him hanging with his friends). Grown women realize that a lil' bit of space makes the 'together time' even more special-and goes to kick it with her own friends. Girls think a guy crying is weak. Grown women offer their shoulder and a tissue. Girls want to be spoiled and 'tell' their man so. Grown women 'show' him and make him comfortable enough to reciprocate without fear of losing his 'manhood'. Girls get hurt by one man and make all men pay for it. Grown women know that that was just one man. Girls fall in love and chase aimlessly after the object of their affection, ignoring all 'signs'. Grown women know that sometimes the one you love, don't always love you back-and moves on, without bitterness. Girls will read this and get an attitude. Grown women will read this and pass it on to other Grown women and their male friends. Remember our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are made in God’s image. Youths do not despise your stage in life but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. ANONYMOUS SOURCE. ALSO THE SOURCE OF THE PICTURE ATTACHED IS ON IT. ... be inspired, motivated and encouraged!

had a nasty experience by Ojota with BRT. memories still hurt but all glory to God alone for saving me. it was like a dream. i crossed to enter BRT line and the same BRT pressed me to the railings of their busstop, everyone was happy to see me alive. but i was scared and in pain for weeks ok days. for a long time i my body had the black marks of the railings. the driver was wicked but i forgive him. funny thing is that the incident gave me direct seat in the bus. the other BRT officials who saw what happened took me through the crowd of those lining up and ushered me into the bus. i sang Don Moen's "You are the Lord that healeth me..." resp in peace to the dead, lesson to the living, mercy for the driver. |
kudos good move |
we are always in the presence of God so we should be clean always. nevertheless God cannot behold iniquity. God would not dwell in the place where sin runs freely but His eyes are over and above all. like the prodigal son He is waiting for us to come back to Him, be it in church or even in the bathroom! just return to God; and if you've never known Him, go to God, He saves. |

OUR THEME FOR THIS MONTH IS NEW BEGINNINGS JANUARY IS MORE THAN HALF WAY GONE SOON ANXIETY WOULD SOON SET IN MAKING US QUESTION IF THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE LIKE EVERY OTHER WITHOUT US FULFILLING OUR GOALS BUT HERE I AM TO REMIND YOU THAT YOU SHOULD AFFIRM THESE WORDS TO YOURSELVES: “I have been carefully crafted by God; fashioned for good works and predestinated for the good life. Therefore, I refuse to accommodate sickness or anything contrary to the life of God in my body. The Word of God prevails in my life; therefore, regardless of the symptoms that may show up in my body, I declare that my health is bursting forth and I'm shining on every side. No weapon formed against me shall prosper; greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I reject sickness, poverty and the low life. I was born for the glorious life; born to display the virtues and perfections of God, Who has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. My life is an expression of the beauty of God; the miracle working power of God is evidently at work in me. My body has been wonderfully and fearfully made, therefore, I declare that every organ of my body functions perfectly. I am God's headquarters, His living tabernacle and His dwelling place; therefore I live in perfect health and strength. I do not get sick; I am born of God and I have His life and nature within me. No sickness has the power or ability to destroy my body; I have the same quality of life with God. The incorruptible life of God is at work in my members, therefore I declare that I am indestructible! I am not of this world! I hail from God; my origin is in God, therefore, I refuse to be subject to the elements of this world or its corrupting influences. No germ, virus or disease can permeate my body; I am divinely protected on every side! I am the temple of the Holy Ghost; my body functions for God. Every cell in my body complies with the Word of God. I cannot be attacked by sickness or disease, for the One that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me. The Lord has perfected all that concerns me, therefore I declare that now and always, I experience the realities of God's Word concerning my life in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.” no matter the hullabaloo in any industry- entertainment, politics or religious, know that you matter! ... be inspired, motivated and encouraged!

I recently attended a fellowship and coincidentally they were having election for their new executives (its a business fellowship if you know what i mean) and they jokingly said it would not end up like that of Bayelsa which took over 3 days and still ended up as being inconclusive... and there was laughter. But my belief is that truly Nigeria will not be a joke nor will our politics or governance. Not to us or any other nation. I wish to share this statement below i received years ago. What hope do we have in a degrading society, Where the rich get richer, the poor poorer. A society where the leaders have nothing to offer, Except lies ,deceit and embezzlement. A society where leaders are self-elected, and Not people elected. A society, where the leaders commit crime And go unpunished. A society where the average feeding ratio of Its citizen is zero to one, while the selected few Enjoys the wealth of the people. A society, where education has been reduced to Nothing but a mere piece of paper. A society where truth is left untold for fear Of being silenced. A society where graduates are unemployed And are left to walk the streets. A society where what you will become Depend, on whom you know. A society where the youths have lost their Sense of morality, teenage girls have gone Into prostitution, the boys carry arms. A society where you work and your salary is withheld. A society griped with bribery and corruption. A society, where all hope seem hopeless. But there is hope ,a hope of a renewed and Great society. A society where the youths takes up the Challenge to make a difference .to bring Hope to a hopeless nation. To displace and renovate the system. it may Take time, but it can be done. The situation is not hopeless ... be inspired, motivated and encouraged

hmm i beg no vex oh.... why did he study the course in the first place? spend all those years, money and energy and now wants to change his career path? anyway since his profession is scarce he should stick with it in that way he will be sought after since they are not many also if he is good he will start a new market in offering services people and hospitals will likely get abroad #my12cowries ![]() |

I think only the Holy Spirit of God can help us because the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I don't think people want to suffer the consequences of these evil choices but what can they do when the urge to be angry, for sex or other peer pressures beset them? |
I attended a Christ the King Parish today unexpectedly- is it a coincidence or what? ![]() Jesus Christ is Lord, He is King, He is All in all, praise God |
God will deliver us in these end times. Clearly we have to run our race to the end and not get sifted away like wheat. We are regularly stomped with these end time events that sadly many will start to see the usual as being the normal Sin is not normal it is usual. What is normal is what God Almighty expects of us His creation. Homosexuality, terrorism, love for money, back bitting, political thievery, lewd music and all frequent abnormalities are not normal. My fellow pilgrims stay sensitive, sensible and loving. #say_no_to_sin |
My fellow wise people, i still think prevention is better than cure in many things: take for example i have a pair of house slippers and outside slippers to prevent me bringing in sand and dirt to the house i walk away from trouble as much as possible to resist a fight and emenity i sleep without light and noise to prevent headache and irritable sleep Now i believe if we eat right and exercise regularly we can prevent obesity. Obesity is real and right at our back door even in Nigeria. i see young people rolling when they walk cause they are obese. i see women who sit most of the day cause they are obese. i see men who pant when they walk because they are obese. Many believe eating a lot is a sign of good living and wealth. but most of those people end up eating and enrolling in fitness centres and paying exorbitant prices for dieticians and personal trainers to lose their fat that they created by themselves. Greed is another issue. if you have 4 big wraps of food, 6 bottles of malt, 1 carton of indomie and 1 crate of eggs who said you must eat it all on your own in 3 days? it is either you share with those who do not have to eat or you eat moderately. but no many eat like there is no tomorrow. why don't we in wisdom prevent obesity for ourselves and those we care for? if you have plenty money and food please learn to share with the less privileged. conversely if you have plenty at a time learn to eat moderately and save your food and money for when there is no food or when you need money to do something else. God bless you

i am still wondering why this issue of offensive Fulani herdsmen have not been addressed. there are cattle ranchers around my area and they have existed in the community in peace (ALTHOUGH their cattle dung litters the streets) but if this problem of evil herdsmen is not tackled promptly, decisively and dispassionately it can lead to anarchy as people would start defending themselves and attacking innocent Fulani herdsmen. God save your people. |
