Really ? so it's now the duty of transport Companies to protect Nigerians abi? Making sure their car is sound and employing good drivers may be their duty but securing people on the road? When they're even victims themselves..

I had a discussion with a driver one day, what those guys go through on the road ehhh.. many of them are doing it because no other source of livelihood..

I only hope that Nigeria gets better some day..

If transport Companies paid for people who are robbed and kidnapped every day in Nigeria, then they'll go out of business.. There's only little the Companies can do, like showing empathy and support. Like the 500K they proposed to you..it's unfortunate that Nigeria is a failed country.. even the transport Companies drivers are kidnapped including in your own case.. travelling on Nigerian road is very risky now, na only God dey protect person.

Let the Government protect lives and properties.. GUO will only pay and possibly be prosecuted if investigations reveal that they had a hand in it.. because they're also victims themselves...

I'm not supporting GUO or whatever but the first thing should have been to involve the police atleast..

Transport Companies should also look at taking insurance if such exists for passengers and luggages..

So sorry about what your relatives and others went through.. I'm happy they all came out alive.. God help us

IELTS isn't locked after ITA, meaning it must still be valid as at the time of submission aka AOR...

I advise you enroll for another IELTS because nobody knows what the cutoff will be for the next round especially if no draw is held again this year... Also, IELTS isn't locked after ITA.. except you're submitting immediately after ITA..

Just register for another IELTS and try to max your points.. all the best

I've been a silent follower of this group and now I've finally caught this Canada Bug. . please I have some few questions. Gurus in the house I need your kind help.

I'm currently separated and the divorce proceedings in court but my passport bears my spouse name and since we're no longer together I would like to use my maiden name for my application and the passport will expire march next year .

I want to know if I can sit for my ielts exam with this passport bearing in mind that it will expire in march?

Secondly,
Is it possible to write the exam with my maiden name though I will present a passport which holds a different surname or should I just wait till next year when it expires and my divorce is finalised before I begin this process and also renew my passport?

I will be 35 April next year and from what I've read so far I loose points for birthdays and I'm worried.

Note:All documents are in my maiden name
Highest qualification is MSC.

If your passport expires March 2020, then you can go ahead and renew now.. I don't know if you can get an official letter or something from the court will show you're already in the process of divorce that will be acceptable by immigration for change of name...

WES doesn't need passports for credential evaluation, so you can go ahead and start your evaluation using your maiden name while the passport renewal is in progress..


You can't write IELTS with a name different from that on the passport...however, you can be reading for your IELTS to write when new passport comes.. all the best

Exactly, my dad is the first son, and built the house in the obi. There's no way he can uproot from such a place. It's unheard of.

Unfortunately the land is their Obi thus your dad can't send them out until they've built their own house.. that's the rule in Igbo land.

The obi is like the family house even though your father owns the land/house because he's the first son.

You'll have to report the threats to the police though.
