@OP: I see nothing wrong with her marrying two men, after all we're not actually monogamous creatures. There is a major double standard in African culture. If a man can do it, I see no reason why I can't do it as well. |
birdman:Survival for who? The topic was about marriage, not producing children. Yes, the two go hand in hand but are not mutually exclusive. The main topic of discussion is marriage.' |
tjskii:Chineke, you're trying to starve me |
tine:He also seems to assume that everyone wants to have some sort of companionship ![]() |
Girl, you will be surprise! If they can enlarge men's manliness how come men can't have an abortion? You know a man did have baby in USA although he was a she before.
Well, we haven't gotten that far in science for men to experience child birth and pregnancy. As for the "pregnant man". He/she is still a she as long as those ovaries are still in his/her body. |
alisigwe:What kind of question is that? Is it a must for a person to be married? Besides, aren't there people who are fat and ugly and married? Smmfh. Keep in mind, this isn't a question that is geared only to women. Ask your brothers as well because as far as I'm concerned there was no specific gender mentioned by the OP. |
(A) 1,4,5, I wouldn't mind. (B) 2, I wouldn't mind if I gave him permission to do so. (C) 3, if we're in an open relationship then its not cool with me (D) 6, that's just a no no with me. Those are grounds for a breakup. (E) 7, Unless that animal is attacking him I don't see any reason for him to be doing that. Hmmm, what's to stop him from doing the same to me? (F) 8, once again--grounds for a breakup [unless he has a good reason] (G) Ummm, idk. Is he the one having the abortion? ![]() (H) 9, grounds for a breakup. I'd go to the police immediately. |
switdick:Who told you we don't like romance? Keep in mind, we're talking about a culture where people are taught to suppress themselves sexually . |
Various cultures have various ideas of beauty so if she finds her piercings appealing then she shouldn't care what some man thinks of her. I have a male "friend" who disapproves of my piercing as well and I have made it clear to him that it is my body and my choice and that I'm fine with it. He accepted it for what it was an has let go of the subject. If some man wants to overlook her because she chooses to beautify her body in that manner then she shouldn't pay him any mind. As for your friends aunt, I know her heart is in the right place she needs to mind her own business. As long as its not her body she shouldn't complain. |
tine:Yupp, a lot of them still think we're just baby making machines. |
tjskii:Yes ma'am Ehhh, can I take some moi moi with me since I'm on punishment? ![]() |
@OP: I will eat everything and anything I can get my hands on. |
^^^ Lmao |
Creamish:Thanks, let's just hope 190 doesn't spoil anything for me. Hehehe, keep your fingers crossed ![]() |
hmmmmm!! Think twice.
Think twice bout what? ![]() |
alisigwe:I'm not running away from anything nor am I trying to "find myself". This is just how I feel. When I was younger, I always questioned the notion of marriage so this isn't something that I just suddenly started believing. porasog:Hehehe, wettin dey shock you? ![]() orbaxy:Subnormal eh? Hmmmm. Sweetie, I've always been a free thinker. As I've gotten older my views have expanded. I am aware that in African culture someone like me would be considered odd or perhaps lost but this who I am. If I live my life according to how someone else wants me to live it, am I truly living? No. I can only live my life to the best of my ability. If others don't like it then too bad for them. And I might take you up on that offer . |
Welcome to Nairaland. Feel free to make tons of friends [and frienemies] ![]() |
Creamish:For all we know, he may be spreadin' the funk by sleepin' with all those smelly chicks--which means he may be funky as well. |
How degrading . Why am I not surprised by this? Smh ![]() |
orbaxy:I need? I need? Hmmm, if I may ask, what makes you think I "need" a man? Suppose I'm content on my own? I enjoy the idea of companionship but I doubt that need is the correct word. And no, I have not been in a "turbulent" relationship in the past. I'm not one to look down on my relationships with the opposite sex. I cherish every relationship I have had with individuals of the opposite whether it is a friendship, romantic, or strictly platonic relationship. Just because I don't necessarily share your views on marriage does not in any way indicate that I have been in a turbulent relationship or that I am not mixing with the "right" people. I hang out with individuals of all walks of life. By the way I adore you as well |
Creamish:Well said. @OP: It depends on the person's definition of romantic. |
