phreakabit: I for one think these videos are FAKE!! Secondly that could have easily been one of his lookalikes. Thirdly, this whole event just goes to show one thing: NEOCOLONIALISM is still very much in practice. I mean it took barely hours of the news breaking for the European PM's to land in Libya. . . . . I mean come on?! Why is his "death" of significant importance to them? Oh, I remember, he was an open enemy of the Western world and their oppression of Africa, ok maybe not Africa, but Libya. And secondly free Oil for Europe and Americas ailing economy.
BTW, I STILL THINK HE IS ALIVE SOMEWHERE. . . . Do the maths. He had numerous lookalikes when he was alive. Secondly, he who is "dead stays dead"!
Smh, so very true [bolded parts]
justwise: I never had any reason to disagree with you since i joined this forum but i have one today. Why do we intend to blame the west when the going gets tough? Yes Gaddafi provided for his pple but at what cost? America did not start the trouble in Libya, America dragged their feet b4 even getting involved with NATO and that was when Arab league and the UN resolution was passed. Our problem in Africa got little or nothing to do with the west, WE Africans are the problem, we are selfish, we are greedy, we are corrupt and power hungry. I did not like the way Gaddafi died after watching the raw video over and over again, i thought he should have been treated better but Gaddafi saw it coming, he locked up and killed his own people and the same treatment was served to him yesterday.
American interest obviously comes first in everything they do, when will Africa put the interest of Africans first before money?
Ok, thank you for adding your two cents but when did I say that America was dragged into it? All I said was that America being involved is nothing more than neo-imperialism. Did I blame everyone in the west? No! But the main contenders in this new scramble for Africa are well known and we know what their interests in this conflict is. Let's not sit here and pretend that the US and many other western nations aren't playing puppet master with organizations like the United Nations and NATO. Do Africans need to help themselves, yes indeed but until we as a continent cease to continue suckling on the brëasts of the west, we will forever be enslaved to them. So for you to say that our problem have little nothing to do with them would be a complete denial of their incessant interference in the affairs of Africa. Do some research and you will see that the American government has at one was or another funded and fueled events that have happened in Africa. Even many of the American companies that we Africans have grown up with as children, many of them funded pro-apartheid movements in the past. Don't sit here and act like America and other wester nations don't have their hand in the pot! You saying that we are greedy gets us no where, if greedy is what we are then what do you call the United States their cohorts? Are they not the same as the people you say we are? Did they suddenly become compassionate, just, and peace loving individuals? Yes, I will admit as a continent, we need to get our act together but the sheepishly act as though they have played no role in our troubles would be a complete denial of African history as a whole.
saintohia: Hold no a minute: before UN backed NATO invasion of Libya, is Nigeria (economy, standard of living, corruption level) better than Libya? The issue here is not how long he ruled but I think Libyans was still more comfortable (enjoyed more) than Nigerians.
I'm not a Gaddafi fan, but I would prefer Africans sort out their issues without involving the West because nothing good will ever manifest from Sodom. The Libyan story is not different from Iraq's , IS ALL ABOUT LIBYAN OIL. Very soon you'll start watching Ugandan scenario. They would always come up with propaganda in other to crash existing govt & intall their puppet.
But guyz don't you think Nigeria need to be Liberated of corrupt looters that term themselves learders?
It's true, America's got their hand in everyone pot and no one has the balls to say a damn thing! It's always one excuse after another
Choicegirl: Just wondering if guys exist who like slim girls cos slim girls dont hav all d big butt and bosoms all guys seem to be crazy about this days
Being slim doesn't mean that you don't have a butt or brëasts
I'm getting a name tattoo of Gahdaffi. Seriously. He was my hero, he was brave and died a Martyr. Libya need to hold on a couple years to come to know what has befallen them.
Can I see it when you get it?
Cuddlemii: To begin with, you are first likely to be attracted to your kind. They are attracted to Nigerian men because they are from the same place. The ones that go for black foreigners do that because they are nearest in meaning to Nigerian men at least they have black skin & going by history or myths, those black men are descendants of slaves that were taken from Africa so their ancestral lineage can be traced back to Africa.
Secondly, Nigerian men are very good in bed that is why millions of women of all tribes from around the world like dating them & marrying them. The other day I saw an Indian babe almost buying the whole food chain of a store for a Naija guy & she kept spending without him moving an inch. Nigerian men have stamina, high libido & know the act well. I heard viagra was made from Buratanshi that is used in Nigeria. Rumor has it that some white or foreign men makes babes skin crawl & some of them smell (God forgive me)
Thirdly, Nigerian men are the best lovers you can ever have forget their games & all the criticism but they are caring. In SA for example, the men there treat their women like crap so they love Nigerian men a lot. But Nigerian men have mothers & believe in tradition or culture so they respect decent girls and sure know how to care for a lady, pamper her, spend on her etc. Some foreigners need to save for 2 years to take a vacation but Naija men can decide to take their wife to Dubai.
However, Nigerian men love kids & discipline them as such they don't spear any expense in sending their kids to good schools so as to be educated. But most foreign men are always searching for scholarships, some even force their kids to become athletes so as to go to school but Nigerian men send their kids to school, pay for the upkeep and all. Other tribes live on school loans and grants. Its only from Nigeria that a child would still be dependent on their parents at 16 & still stay with them. Nigerian fathers can do anything to give their kids the best. They can even go hungry to feed their kids. Some foreigners allow their kids call them by name like "hey yo, Jake gee, whats up homey" but a Nigerian father would teach his son how to greet him, his elders & people as a whole.
In addition, Nigerian men are very interesting people. They are good dancers and they follow the beat. There is just this swag with black skinned men. They don't age fast. They are always young at heart. Nigerian/black skinned men have better yarns for mouth. Some foreign men talk like bolos like they are clueless and dull. Although black men in other countries are sharp too just like the Nigerian men.
On the other hand, Nigerian men are hustlers & go getters. They must survive in the jungle. They are proactive & street wise . They can work 20 jobs, lift things or clean tables to survive while they go to school abroad. They can sell DVDs, clothes, laptops at computer village or whatever as long as they can make enough to feed their family & themselves. They have goals & aspirations. That is why Nigerian students perform very well in school abroad & focus on the good jobs after school because they know where they are coming from & have a target.
Moreover, before now, when a Nigerian lady has any form of relations with a foreign man, they tag them as LovePeddlers so ladies were ashamed to showcase their relationships but did it codedly but in recent time, a lot of women now marry or date white men. Some families don't permit it. People are quick to judge people who get involved with foreigners. The only advantage that white men have over black men are: 1) Security 2) Stability 3) Consistency
In conclusion, Nigerian men are very religious. whether its christainity, islam, the grail, Jehoval or Idol worshipping. They don't joke with their religion & they acknowledge God or their gods. You would see that no matter how much smoke or drink a man takes, that wont stop his relationship with God. Na them they even move active in church. Not all foreigners even believe in any form of religion.
Although I really like that you're praising our brothers so much, I must admit a lot of those things are generalizations which cannot be applied to every Nigerian man.
Relax101: That guy go dey shine that girl thing well. I get one jamo friend wey like white guys because of licky licky.
Lmao at the Jamo girl. Not all of them are like that [unfortunately ]
OhmstAR: Now that Gadaffi is gone, what's next for libya?
I'll tell you what's next. . . A new American colony
igbo2011: The reason why America is spending so much on resources is because if it doesn't then their economy will be destroyed. Gas prices would go up, food prices, electronics, almost everything would go up. People would spend less, so companies wouldn't make as much money. People would be fired, crime would rise, America would be a hell hole. Most of the people would leave. The only way for America to stay rich is by keeping Africa poor. That is why I heard people call having a resource is a curse. Black gold. People corrupt you,
It is so much more than that. I swear, read the "The Chomsky Reader", the answer are right in there!!
BlackLibya: I wish people would stop saying this. People forget it took MONTHS of bombing by the worlds most powerful armies, it took months of planning and smuggling weapons into Libyan cities while imposing an arms embargo on ghaddafi.
Even stationary soldiers who were not attacking anyone were killed, even defensive positions were attacked by NATO. In the end, the city of Sirte would not give up, and they were bombed to oblivion because of it, NATO violated the Geneva Conventions and international law to bring about this victory. The Rebels spent the last two months attacking Sirte and Bani Walid, and only now after the entire cities have been destroyed has victory been realized.
Throughout the rebellion, hundreds of thousands of Libyans poured out into the streets in support of Ghaddafi. You cant forget that the rebels were detaining and killing anyone with a green flag, so people really dont have anymore freedom than they did under ghaddafi.
Thank you so very much for pointing that out because it appears that people have forgotten that!
BlackLibya: ^^^^^^
I like how she believes African leaders and the African people are actually controlling who is in power. She thinks they have independence.
Lmao, independence from what? Colonialism NEVER ended in Africa, and it seems like a lot of people don't realize that!
publisher: People are not really being honest here. The truth is that if a Nigerian guy walks the streets of any Nigerian city hand in hand with his white oyinbo wife, people are most likely going to hail him,and give him respect for conquering oyinbo toto. However,if a Nigerian woman walks hand in hand with an oyinbo man in any Nigerian city, people are most likely going to assume that she's a foreign based LovePeddler and the white dude is probably her P#IMP".
Unfortunately, Nigerian women make matters worse for themselves. Whenever a Nigerian man brings home his oyinbo girl, the white lady most times is YOUNG and BEAUTIFUL,sometimes FAT,but still young with a pretty face. But when you see our Nigerian women with a white guy,the white dude is most times an OLD MAN in his late 50s or 60s. I have NEVER seen any Nigerian girl dating a 'Brad Pitt' kinda white dude. Even I have encountered young white guys before--they exist. I and many other Nigerian girl are living proof.
Some one tell me i'm lying
I was agreeing with you up until I got up to the bolded red parts. I will show you a video of a Nigerian girl who is with the type of guy you described. By the way, the sexy oyibo in the video is ENGAGED to the girl.
@OP: Simple answer! All it means is that the United States government is doing what it always does. Pretty soon the African nations will just be extended states of the United States. Look at how they are invading other countries trying to be the global police. It is nothing more than neo-imperialism. Let's be serious here, do any of you actually believe that the US gives a damn about other countries?!?! All the crap that the American government does, if you switch roles and have other countries apply the same tactics, then it suddenly becomes a problem. You all need to sit down and read "The Chomsky Reader" by Noam Chomsky!
ogugua88: Yeah, like moin moin. I read a Caucasian woman's blog once. She took a moin moin recipe and omitted both the meat and eggs since she's vegan.
Yeah, you can do stuff like that. Or when you make certain soups you can just choose not to add meat.
Well I'm a vegetarian as well, Never thought i'd ever get to hear about a Nigerian female who is Vegetarian! @ Inked Nerd, are you in Nigeria?
No, I'm not in Nigeria. Have you been a vegetarian all you life or is it something you just started doing recently?
r231: like what
pounded yam and egusi soup
No, you can just omit meat in a lot of the food. A lot of the meals can easily altered.
blank: I have tried to go vegetarian but it is so hard. My reason is cos i do not believe that meat is healthy at all. My parents have gone totally vegan as in they do not take milk, eggs, fish not just meat. Anytime, i visit them, i decide to follow their lead but my husband cannot fathom such. Everyday, "let us eat catfishh, isi-ewu, etc", "Make sure turkey na one whole lap else i no chop" and on and on. When i see him chopulating like that i start salivating and then break once but it then gets harder to go back.
I need more motivation, sigh.
So, are you currently a vegetarian or you've gone back to eating meat?
freecocoa: Ah, he'd trip for you,he loves women who know how to express themselves regardless of anything,he's very cute and to top it all,he is heir to the throne of my town,so I guess you are our future lolo.
freecocoa: You are welcome,eh but can I marry you for my brother?he is a nice guy I swear.
lol sure as long as he is of good character and isn't afraid of a woman who can/will speak her mind. I must admit, I'm not an easy person to put up with. Those who have put up with me and are still a part of my life, I truly must commend them for doing so lol
WHO PUT UP MY PICTURE?
LOL, you know you don't even look half that good. Chei, people can lie o!
@lailaiwala: As usual, there is always some semi-illiterate individual who cannot interpret information. Ok my dimwitted friend what, if anything makes me a "shameless pig"? And why is that you had the disgustingly innate need to call me names rather that make your nonsense question and/or point be known? What exactly is it that I "need to change"?
Smh, what happened to personality, intelligence, compassion or having some character? Did such qualities suddenly go out of the window? I know we're all visual creatures but damn, threads like this really make me wonder at times. There's more to a woman [or any other human being for that matter] other than their looks/appearance.
I have no preference on nationality or ethnicity but I will say one thing though--it feels damn good to be in the arms of a black man I've been with guys of different nationalities and various ethnicities so for me I don't see it as a big deal. I'm generally open minded at the prospects of being with someone who isn't Nigerian/African or black.
ogugua88: ^^^ Miss HOW?! Do you live with your parents? That's why I can't be a vegetarian, not yet. I've tried at least twice and failed because of my mom. I was cooking my own food but my mom would be behind the stove, making fresh fish pepper soup, or egusi soup. Hard to deny such lol. Maybe when I leave the house I can try again lol.
Yes, I live with my parents. There are lots of Nigerian dishes that can easily be turned into vegetarian dishes so for me its not a big deal
slimyem: then share just ONE of those experiences.and this is your opinion, just your opinion!
Well, I met a guy who is pretty much like the guy you described. . . the only difference is that he wanted children right away which was something I am not prepared for at the moment.
