Nigerian man has been spotted using an expensive G-Wagon to display and sell plantain on the streets of Owerri, Imo State.
A video which was shared on on Facebook shows the moment an unidentified young man was seen marketing his plantain business using a G-Wagon. The young man could be seen ringing a bell as a business strategy to attract customers while the boot of his car was wide open with bunches of plantain displayed in it.
Many passersby went to patronize the trader while some who seems to be surprised and watched him display from a distance.
The young man didn’t relent on his business as he took some bunches of plantation and moved from one place to another in search of customers.
MangekyoAlt: USA just made an enemy out of the two most powerful countries that are closely behind them if not even already equal. The arrogance of America would bring about their downfall. They think they will remain world power forever and ever lol. If they don't get humiliated in this our current generation, it will be the next. There's no escaping from it
/. How can you say USA, Russia and China have the most powerful military? Have you forgotten Nigerian prayer warriors that promise to move Mountains. I believe Righteousness' prayers alone can destroy the military of those nations combined. Afterall Buhari and Osibanjo have continued to ask Nigerians to pray against Boko Haram. Can't you see that it is working.
rmx: Good pros that know what to do , don’t come cheap , not saying they should be expensive also . The most painful thing will be paying top money and getting a crappy work done . We all love deals and saving money but there is a limit and balance
I personally try to get pros to do all my work after all due diligence, because of the nature of my builds . I go for pros that are reasonable and are on there way up, that have requisite experience not old and established . Most of the guys I use ,including Topsy falls into that category . Been lucky with the guys/pros I use so far . They have given advice way beyond the scope they are handling that has saved me money in other areas .
/ You are just lucky. Do you know how many "pros" one has to go through to get to the real pros? Everyone is a pro until it comes down to doing the real work. Most times you are just paying for manpower because some of them lack basic common sense to get things done right. And I mean something as simple as keeping a line straight. /
gazeup1: I created this new handle to hide my identity.
I got married 11 years ago. We both started working before we got married, but my salary was way above my wife's own. I was earning 195k while she was on 108k when we got married, after my MSC, I was promoted and started to earn 350k, this got to me and I started to misbehave, I was doing all sorts and would insult the hell outa her. As the cry cry girl, she would cry, and thereafter I would hear her praying. At times she would say she will one day be greater than me. That to me was an impossibility.
I can't even remember ever giving her money for home keep but we never lacked food at home (we delayed before having kids, so I don't see the need for me to give her monthly money and she never asked). I started giving her after we had kids. She agreed when I told her her money was for the home and mine for investment, but I never included her name in my properties. she knows this as well.
After our kids, it became very demanding, coupled with her office not increasing her pay, she resigned, and that was when I felt the impact of her income. Meanwhile, her pay was reduced to about 80k and mine was increased to like 600k as at when she resigned. In one month I started asking her to return back to her work as to me I was not ready to foot her bills, she never even asked for money, she would even say what I gave her is left 5k or more self at the end of the month.
Now her new journey - When I started disturbing about going back to her former office or getting a new job, she said never and asked me to stop giving her money but go to market to buy food myself. In less than 4 months to her resignation she started talking about online job here and there, I thought it was a scam so I warned her. One day, I was in the office when she said she needs me to help her wit the best laptop to buy, I tried to talk her down on buying one but she ended the call on me.
I got home to see her with a new laptop. fast forward, she paid for a training on how work from home without my knowledge, got her first job of about $200, I also washed her down on going that low for such an amount but she said it was better than her former 80k job, before I knew it, she started talking about $1,000, now it's $3,000, to $4,000 monthly. I earn lower than #1M, my wife gets over #2M monthly working from home. She helped me finished my house project, very transparent and would not hide any $ she earns.
I have not been able to forgive myself of all the things I did to her, the insults, talking down on her but in a way I think I pushed her to become who she is now. I remembered when she asked back then to open a joint account with her, I laughed her to scorn, like how would the ratio be. she saved over 6M and credited my account with everything, just for us to complete our home. I can't even produce 1M.
She doesn't seem hurt, but sometimes she reminds me of those words, I have never officially told her sorry neither have I really changed because I am just like that, I don't mean evil. I wanted her to braze up and never stay low.
Married, men, please how do I ask for her forgiveness? I don't think we have up to 2% of her type out there.
/ Muna Obiekwe's death was a blessing in disguise because I don't think he could ever shake off that "Men in Love" act from his life. He single-handedly destroyed everything he built with that one bad decision.
EgunMogaji2: I’m good with my project and I’ll always follow the same path.
Many won’t even notice the issues I’m talking about but it’s glaring to me based on my non Nigerian expectations.
Not knocking anyone specifically but I’ve seen shoddy shitshows reported to me by members on here that were performed by so called pros.
/ The so-called pros price their market way out of reach that you wonder if there is no standard pricing algorithm for their works. I have seen Topsy's handiwork and use it as a standard because of his attention to details and neatness of his work. But can you say that about many others? It is sad paying someone to come and do shoddy jobs at a site. Sometimes if you DIY the project, the outcome may be better than what's obtainable from the so-called pros. Nigeria is where you pay someone to do a job, then you will make out your own time to supervise them to ensure that they do it right. /
Ogalanyaidi: First I want peace in my home and I've been enjoying relative peace in my home.
I've been married for less than a year. I called my wife to discuss how we could keep the house clean and I went on to tell her that she puts things where they shouldn't be. She got upset and called her mum, she was crying while speaking with her mum over the phone.
Her mom called and we both made peace I discovered that she was recording our argument but I chose not to confront her there and then.
A day later, I asked why she was recording me and she lied but I gave her facts and she agreed. She said if I've nothing to fear why am I being upset about it. She said I should record her too cus she observed that when we speak to her mum after an incident I don't say the whole truth.
We both live overseas and she is the only person I've here.
I want peace in my home and I don't like trouble
/ The marriage is over already. It is just a matter of time. I wonder how your primary concern is that she records your conversation instead of the fact that your mother-in-law is very much involved in the day-to-day running of your household. I think while at it, you might as well cut off your two balls and place it in your wife's handbag for onward delivery to your mother-in-law. The day you find yourself in a divorce court, the transcripts of those recordings will rear their ugly head. Your wife is thinking way ahead of you.
bayo2018: The one wey really vex me na when I went to mall yesterday to get shawarma I had to carry one of my high end device to the mall because I’ll have to transfer to the people over there (I don’t use ATM card ) I was making call while I entered the main place to get the shawarma so i believe the security guy noticed my phone after ordering for everything I try to step out and baba was tryna bill me, I told him ion have cash on me to give him sha and I smile only for the security guy to make one weird statement “All these yahoo guys make una try dey help us too” I had to turn back and tell him immediately that Bro I’m not a fraudster and I’ll never be among one
So my question is why is every successful young guy seen as a potential scammer Is there no other means to make legit money as a young guy again in this country nii. Are there no skills again to learn in this country nii
I’ll love to hear other peeps view also sha lols because the matter tire me oooo.

So carrying expensive gadgets is a measure of wealth? And you rated yourself accordingly? Those your "high-end" gadgets will be used to grind pepper in two years.
BluntCrazeMan: (Answer: Just Complain To NIMC...) .. A lot of Nigerians, and Nairalanders are going through this wahalla at the moment .. If you already have your NIN-Number with you,, but whenever you take the NIN-Number to the Bank, they would always tell you to go back to the NIMC and tell them to Validate your NIN-Number and add it to the NIN-Database on the NIMC Computer. .. This is what you would do... .. Send an email to info@nimc.gov.ng with a copy-to cc.. to customercare@nimc.gov.ng and nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng.... .. Put the subject as “VALIDATE MY NIN-NUMBER”. Then give them your “full name” and the NIN-Number that is to be validated. .. .. (Try this first, then come back and thank me later)
/
Or you can wait it out. There is no continuity in Nigeria. So NIN will expire with Buhari's government next year. Then wait for the next scheme.
/ Complaints, protest and whining rarely get results. That few minutes of hardcore beatings delivered a better message than many days of picketing. Action speaks louder than words. /
Eastlink: Irrelevant. History was never stopped before. It was simply made an elective course just like Fine arts due to the low turnout of students during WAEC/NECO. People should verify before they argue ignorantly. The federal government even tried phasing out CRK/IRK into a combined Moral instruction course and if not for the outcry of over-religious Nigerians both courses would have become a thing of the past by now.
/
The Bill will make it mandatory and not an elective. History is boring if taught by a boring teacher. There are reasons advanced countries make it a mandatory GE class in their curricula. Then there are advanced History classes for those particularly interested in studying history. But every citizen knows the basics.
/ Apparently Obi didn't know that seeking for validation is a psychological problem because when withdrawal of such attention happens, the individuals are known to drop into anxiety and depression.
This won't be the last of it. Nigerians are not just poor because they don't have money. Rather they are poor because they easily hand over their money to whoever comes promising big returns or trip to heaven after death. They deserve to be bankrupted by the smart ones. As we discuss, some are pouring funds to another scheme somewhere. Their lamentations go mature in about 6 months.
duro4chang: At the same time it is good to know the cause of his death
/
The causes of death are apparent:
1. The students that beat him up in school. 2. His negligent and ignorant parents that took him to a church for prayers instead of a hospital for adequate medical help. 3. The useless pastor that knew that he couldn't do shit but kept him there for pecuniary gains based on false promises.
The students, his parents and the pastor should be sentenced to 10 years of prison terms each. They are all culpable.
1sherlockHolmes: I don't think I am yet addicted to betting. I started sport betting last year september when i was doing nysc. it was introduced to me by a fellow corper that time i have 200k in my account raised from the 33k alawee in just three month i lost it all.
I stopped betting and move on with my post nysc life when an idea came to my mind which is borrow from loan app and stake on 2odd if you win take your profit and repay the loan. without hesitation i decided to give it a try, but whenever i borrow and stake the game cut but when i play with my little money i win. Because of this now I'm in huge debt more than 5 apps are waiting for my loan repayment while I'm still jobless.
I really need help I think I'm posessed or someone cast a spell on me. Anyway i have decide to break my sim card block my atm and stop betting.
May god help me. #stay away from bet9ja #sportybet and #1xbet they r destiny destroyer.
/ Zero sum game. Don’t forget that in all of these, the betting companies believe that you are a good person for supporting their business. How can they survive without people like you? So it depends entirely on how you look at the whole situation. You no get land to sell?
IgbuduMonkey: I have noticed a phenomenon over the years of Nigerian movie directors using big mansions and cars in their productions. It's okay if it helps the plot, but most times, the storyline would be perfectly depicted using a more relatable average Nigerian house and car. In American movies, you hardly see them portray superlative riches unless it's relevant to the plot.
Has any other person noticed this or it's just me?
/
How many Nollywood play (I can’t call them movies) can you watch and make sense out of the plot? They recycle the same storyline until it becomes stale: Palace life, billionaire marries a poor village girl, rag to riches through rituals. Nothing in them that is thought-provoking.
shortIGBOman: Northerners get plenty silent Billionaires. If say na one Emeka or Chinedu, he for Chest beat finish everywhere. Him and his people for no allow us hear word. Even when all him wealth no reach 100 millions
/
Igbo businesses are better spread among the people. Their wealth is not centralized on a few individuals. The only downfall is that some charlatans have decided to incorporate unnecessary noise into their businesses to impress the impoverished masses.
/ Politics is a very big industry in Nigeria. The more people they can goad into running for President, the more people will smile to the banks. Every group will convince their candidate that he is already the President.
The youths see criminals walk away free. Thus there are no deterrents to crime. Why won't they engage in criminal activities when the society has shown that a suspect can always procure freedom? Now the motto is: Money answereth all things. Nigerians rationalize crime if enough money is involved. All you need is to tag a criminal as a philanthropist in Nigeria and all his or her crimes are excused. Mad people everywhere!
CriticMaestro: So my girlfriend wanted to use my phone to call her mom last week during the brief black out, While going through the phone she saw apps that were to prepare someone to migrate as a skilled worker into some european countries.
She immediately got pissed and was just shouting that i was planning on leaving her without informing her. The truth is i downloaded those apps to see if i could get a better opportunity abroad but have never opened any of them.
It took some explaining before i was able to convince her that i wasnt planning to leave or atleast anytime soon. I deleted those apps and will just browse stuff about it on my PC when i'm free, if i get the chance to go i will maybe help her to work her way when i am comfortable.
