/ Both Government and Nollywood are equally culpable. The Government created the problem of extreme poverty. Nollywood proferred the solution to the problem as ritual killing. If Nollywood wants to absolve herself from the narratives, why the so much emphasis on ritual as the major way to escape poverty in majority of their plots?
Every society is made up of rational and irrational beings. While the rationals can discern the difference, can we vouch for the irrational heads? Of course, ritual killings have existed since the 1970s, but social media did not exist then. So information is quickly disseminated in this era and has a wider reach. Are they telling us that without ritual plots in their movies, Nollywood has nothing else to offer?

But the western media derives some kind of satisfaction by labeling Nigerians and other Africans as scammers.
Criminality is not tied to any nation, tribe or religion. It’s the universal language of all men of easy virtue.
No matter how long it takes all criminals will come to justice one way or the other. / Nobody said that Nigerians are the biggest criminals. Nigerian criminals are too noisy and quick to show themselves. / Some cars are specifically designed to use ethanol, premium fuel or both. They are designated as Flexfuel and usually have yellow fuel tank cover. Ethanol is about 33% cheaper per gallon. Family › Re: Please Advice! I’m Having Multiple Issues With My Marriage by InvertedHammer: 12:36pm On Feb 08, 2022 |
Lasunray01: Good day nairalanders. My first time post in 5yrs.
Will try to summarize the issues and seek sincere advise please.
I’ve been married before but got divorced within a year due to genotype issues(it’s a long story). So I remarried 2yrs after and with a child now, and that’s where my issues started from.
I know I have some bad sides too which I’m trying to change, which is flirting with single ladies, and this has caused multiple fight with my wife.
Whenever we have this fights, not physical, just verbal, but in her anger she breaks virtually anything around, cups, laptop, speakers etc. she can be madly angry. I’ve warned, petted her severally to desist from this act especially infront of our kid...but she won’t. It’s getting worse by the day. Now she reports me with blackmail to her parents and friends making me feel I’m the worst husband in the universe, calling me unprintable names. Calling me weak cos I don’t beat.
Now the advice I seek, we are planning to relocate as a family abroad this year, but I’m really scared. I can actually go alone, but would prefer we all go together since I have the means. But I’m scared if I won’t regret my actions to take her along with this her character. What if I get jailed or lose custody of our child abroad, because she’s a master in blackmail. She can turn simple issue overboard.
Sorry for the long epistle. Just had to pour out my mind. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
Thank you / I think you are making a good decision. What better way to teach a philanderer a lesson than taking away everything he worked for and tying him down with child support and alimony. I feel like you are one of those that can only learn the hard way. Once she cleans you out, poverty will imbibe the wisdom you need in you. Keep flirting. / |

Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: Panic Buying In Lagos, Abuja by InvertedHammer: 10:55am On Feb 08, 2022 |
backbencher: 1.Yes i do
2.Subsides is why the refineries are bad in the first place. We cut costs on things like maintaining the refineries to keep subsidy costs low, which is why they broke down in the first place.
3.Because of subsides, people don't want to invest in refineries unless you are Dangote who has the collateral to pay back loans taken for refinery purposes. Who wants to refine fuel above 200 naira and sell it at N40 as Buhari wants it, and then the subsidy pad does not cover the losses?
4.Anyway NNPC is repairing two refinereis.
5.If we want to refine fuel at home, then it has to be refined at a profit so that things like repairs, maintenance, staff salaries, staff welfare and upgrades can be paid for out of the profits made.
If we want to pay a subsidy, then we must tax each and every taxable adult in this country to afford it.
Niger has a working refinery. They sell fuel at N350 per liter. They don't have a subsidy. Thier refinery in the eleven years since it has existed has not broken down, and actively exports fuel to other countries because it is run profitably. We did not do that in Nigeria and we lost our 4 refinereis as a result. Venezuela has been selling fuel for less than the equivalent of N40, and their refining costs are much higher than us. And as a result their large 900000 barrel refinery can only refine 100000 barrels.
Yes, prices will be high. But that is the sad thing about business. Things cost money. You won't sell at a loss to help the poor, so why should we force it on the fuel indusitry? Especially since such a policy led to us having bad refinereis and refining abroad in the first place? / You need to be quarantined. / |

backbencher: You cannot refurbish refineries and then sell fuel from these refineries at a loss in the name of subsidy
Also, paying for subsides is difficult when the money comes from crude oil revenue, which is affected by price fluctuations / You are not making any sense. So it is more profitable to drill oil, ship it to Europe to refine and then import the refined product back into Nigeria + the effective subsidy? Do you even understand what subsidy is? / |

Though there is no prediction on this visual...but tell the story of the performance.
The dataset contains Date, Country and numbers of passengers.
With the Analysis, you can make prediction months and days U.S are likely to have more passengers traveling or migrating.
You can also tell the exponential growth, why 2020 has the lowest passengers
Though I have some Machine Learning project on Python, Excel and Statistics (I just choose to share this cus I joined a monthly competition on LinkedIn)
Let me stop here, I see how you all rate a new Barber, graphics designer. Come and do this for me...man want to feel encourage / Colour riot. / |
