thatgirl504:/ Immediate family could have increased the loss to N15m ![]() He could have waited to buy it himself when he arrives Nigeria--the only guaranteed way. / |
/ If only Nigerians can realize that the Governors are voted in as managers not Emperors. The level of political ignorance is alarming. / |
/ Abaribe can say all he wants in the senate. But as long as he is not tackling the Governor to keep his state in order as well, it becomes a mere show. / |
/ Probably went to give report on his progress in fighting ESN—the prime enemies of herdsmen and pledge his unalloyed loyalty to the caliphate. / |
KingAzubuike:/ Give the girl money for what exactly? Do you expect her to grow financially if she keeps throwing away the little she has on frivolities? / |
/ That’s how Buhari was packaged and sold to the populace. Katsina people now know better but a tad too late. I wish Tinubu wins the Presidency ![]() / |
/ Unless the Africa he means does not include Nigeria. Nigeria don cast a long time ago. The Nigeria he knew is no longer the Nigeria available these days. / |
Mokason288:/ He no wan spend money for wheel balancing and alignment. A picture of the ball joint will tell all the stories ![]() / |
/ ![]() They forgot that most of their farm produces go to waste if the South doesn't buy them. Clowns! / |
/ Towards the tail end of his reign in Imo State, Rochas banned Hope from entering Imo State. Rochas used the same high-handedness in dealing with Chief C.I. Ilomuanya (Igwe of Obinugwu). The battle line is drawn between Rochas and the people I refer to as Okwelle Holdings Old Boys Association. This battle started way before Hope joined APC. Rochas accused him of referring to him as "OkoroHausa" then. / |
budaatum:/ You see a content man. I see food for the nearest crocodile. / |
/ To those chasing papers thinking it brings ultimate happiness. It is like being thirsty--as you drink, your thirst quenches. Neither poverty nor wealth has been shown to be a guarantee to a lasting marriage. So endeavour to develop your personality and PRAY. / |
/ Shekau is taking in billions from kidnap and ransom. Who needs farm? / |
/ Most Nigerians are delusional. Think about people like David Umahi jumping to APC or Tinubu keeping mute for selfish interests in APC. To a Fulani politician, political party is secondary. Fulani interests trump APC, PDP or any political party. That's why irrespective of the party they belong, the ideologies remain same. We can't blame them--power is taken. The blame is on the Southern politicians who cannot decipher the political game at play in Nigeria. / |
/ When Herdsmen brazenly attack others, there is no mention of law. But when they are challenged in any form, a Southerner somewhere will start invoking laws. Sadly, people will give him/her audience. Southerners deserve their plight indeed. / |
amclimax:/ You can always vie and become the governor, then bulldoze the whole place to the ground if that will make you happy. I post a video I saw on YouTube. Is it the word "enjoy" that bothered you? / |
SmartPolician:,/ Don't forget that the selling point was that he is already wealthy and wouldn't loot. Can you believe that some rational being still believe in this line of argument today? Even Elon Musk is still pursuing money. / |
/ God bless Buhari! After the reggae play the blues. After Sai Baba and 4+4, reality has kicked in even for Katsina residents. / |
/ Soludo will be a good candidate. My only reservation is that he may reduce governance to academic exercise--quick to deliver sterling lectures but no implementations to back up the theories. I pray he proves me wrong when he wins. I side-eye the Ph.D Governor of Abia State. / |
michlins:/ I have been on NL for years (since 2012). I have searched my soul and mind on why I would want to run you down. I couldn't come up with one reason. I can't identify you in a line up and I believe it is the same for you. Read through the conversation you posted below. You said the Aluminum fabricator said he doesn't want to modify the measurements. Along the line you mentioned that they modify to maximize profit. Those are your words. And you were asked what prompted the discussion about "modification" and "maximizing profit" especially considering that two of you have your measurements? Then you took offense. I If you don't see the red flag there about modification and maximizing profit that prompted the word "collusion", so be it. I read through the same transcript and formed an opinion. Based on my experience here, I am not worried about dishonest people because they are quick to detect. I am worried about honest people who derail. I believe you know your craft and will not hesitate to give you a job strictly to fabricate if I have some. Good luck. / |
/ Not a bad idea.... But wondering what will be used for 2022 budget and beyond if the proceeds of these sales will be just for 2021 budget. / |
44chux:/ No qualms. Is it not Nairaland? He either sits up or someone in the near future will be referencing these posts. He is the one that put those labels on himself. The twists and turns? Time will tell / |
saydfact:/. Your opinion. I don't think most people will notice or feel your absence in the thread. At least you admitted that you are not Seun. Calling people in private is why many things get unchecked here until it is too late then folks start appearing from woodworks to narrate their stories. I wish Michlin luck. He can learn and perfect his business practice or choose to remain in defense mode. As inter alia noted, the call out was for a questionable business practice. / |
/ Don't fight anyone...some people's lives remain 1 bar. / |
/ If the government calls them bandits, what do you make of journalists who know better who refer to them as bandits as well? / |
michlins:/ I listened to 4 different recorded messages and conversations, you are not being honest in your submission here. That's by the way. Who stands to gain? Both parties. That's why it is collusion when the two parties are on the same page which luckily didn't happen in this case. We must understand that a lot of people are skeptical about doing business with our people based on prior experiences. So any deviation from the norm would raise a red flag. As I noted, there is no case of scam as I understand that no funds have exchanged hands. But the intent is clear. I have advised him to stop all work. When he is available, he can go and supervise his work to avoid stories that touch. My motto remains: Trust but Verify. NB: In your wisdom, you are posting private Whatsapp conversations with the other party's name and picture in tow. If that's a subtle threat, it is not going to work. Why don't you post your picture (s) too? / |
buckeyemedia:/ I think that's the essence of nomadic life. They spy on their targets before striking. / |
diordaves:/ If window is 6x5 and quoted as such. They could be adjusted to 6x4 or 5x4, installed and plastered since the owner is not around. Meanwhile in collusion, the welder presents a quote of 6x5 too and builds 6x4 or 5x4 as the case may be to match the casement window sizes. Multiply these by many windows. From available information, he went to the site to get measurements for the job. What business does he have with the Alumaco guy and his measurements when 6x5 is 6x5? There is a reason the Alumaco refused to share his measurements because he mentioned that Michlin mentioned altering the sizes. If the owner understood it, he wouldn't have reached out. I have said my own and I will not get involved in this any longer...not worth my time. / |
michlins:/. A few weeks ago when Spyder880 needed some input in a design he is building, I mentioned two gentlemen here he could reach out to for modification. It was an honest assessment of the work they showed here in my opinion. A project came up and I recommended your name in similar fashion. It seems that you did a good job in your assignment. Then I got this call yesterday. You gave a quotation for another job(burglar proof). There was a delay and you reminded him that there will be variation in prices due to inflation. He asked you to fix the prices to reflect the changes for immediate mobilization. Along the line you requested and got the number of the man doing the Alumaco fix. You wanted the Alumaco man to alter his measurements and make the windows a little bit smaller so that both of you can make more profit. The Alumaco man vehemently told you off that he doesn't conduct his business that way. Now...why would you go behind your client to try to alter measurements in a bid to cheat him? He didn't say that you scammed him but your integrity is called to question. I had to wade in to talk to the Alumaco guy and he corroborated the story. I wish I can post the voice recording here. Meanwhile, I take full responsibility for this as I was the one that talked gleefully about your work as if I know you. But I learned my lesson. Integrity! Integrity!! Integrity!!! / |
/ Still trying to get more details and to the bottom of it. But the report I got today about Michlin is disheartening considering that I am the one that introduced his name to my friend. / |
