\\ Goldman Sachs is US government as US government is Goldman Sachs. // |
/ I vote to have him executed in Nigeria because he has a death wish already. \ |
Ahmeduana:/ Jonathan contest election? He is a coward who was played like a table tennis ball by almost everyone in his cabinet. GEJ has no balls and folks keep giving him more credit than he deserves. Do you see how herdsmen are butchering other Nigerians. That would have been how GEJ would have been sent to yonder. Leaving Aso Rock was his best personal decision to secure his life. It has nothing to do with democracy. \ |
/ Granting the loan to Nigeria is a dream come true for many institutions. There is no better opportunity to enslave Nigeria than now. Economic hitmen are always on the prowl. 100 years from now, Nigeria will still be servicing the loan. What SLS should be talking about is the terms of the loan. \ |
/ I am not moved by cars any more. Here with a good job, credit and income; walk into any dealership and they let you test drive any car of your dream that they have in their lot. If you pay for xtreme experience, they have a package for exotic cars drives on designated weekends. From Lambos, Ferrari to Porsche; it is your money. For sure, it is almost worthless spending money on Mercedes products -- the cars do not retain their values. \ |
GossipHeart:/ But you get paid handsomely for overtime. Overtime hours = 1.5 x hourly rate. Will people do overnight on regular pay? \ |
/ Award indeed! What are the criteria? Nothing! Just for the heck of it. \ |
/ So what? Some buy cars. Some buy gold. Some buy silver. Dude spent money on what he cherished. \ |
/ Didn't he see the tattoos(tramp stamps) all over her body before he laid with her? Tattoos are the only official certificate for runs girls. The ones that don't have it yet are amateurs, learners and per Diem. The warning signs are all over but he neglected them. He should bear his cross. Next time, he might not be lucky. \ |
/ Tip of the iceberg. The manager will go into hibernation till eternity. The money is lost and gone. The depositors are only living in denial. \ |
Cadamlk:/ He and FFK jumped ship at the dying minute. Big political miscalculation on their part. But FFK got a good pay day out of it. \ |
/ Expensive little gadgets are made for poor people to have a little sense of belonging. \ |
rapistomenka:/ Does it matter? Wole is 82 years old. pata pata 8 more years. \ |
/ 2017 will be a sack galore. 2016 is for testing the waters, reality will set in in 2017. The smart ones already have alternative and contingency plans. \ |
/ It still proves me right that most Nigerians sit in class, cram and vomit to acquire certificates and titles they can showcase to whoever cares to know. They are just taking every prescription ordered by the behind-the-scene masters. Critical thinking is alien to Nigerians. The "masters" understand the ignorance of Nigeria leaders and they prey on that continuously. Nigeria's solution to every problem is levies and borrowing. Nothing complicated and complex. \ |
asunnu:/ If you are concerned, start looking for a job immediately. When he enquires about the sudden and serious job-hunting,then tell him about your concerns as you already know where the family finance is heading with his gambling problems. By the way, well-paying job in Nigeria today is an illusion because of the high risk of retrenchment that pervades in every sector. Why not have him start something on the side that you could be managing? Do you want to wait until his employment hits the rocks to start looking for alternatives. He is an employee. He is expendable. That should worry you more than his love for MMM and lotto. In 2017, as companies audit their accounts, expect more news like this in Nigeria: https://www.nairaland.com/3495780/ericsson-sacks-160-nigerian-workers Now think about it: Does your husband have a good paying job? \ |
/ Total nonsense. Where is electricity, water, access road? How easy is the business registration in Nigeria? How about multiple taxation and levies at the LGA level? The fact is that FGN has not provided an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. The overhead cost of production is too high that it is cheaper to import those items. Most of the businesses in Nigeria are outlet for sales. Even big corporations that come in are sales outlets eg. Shoprite, Porsche, etc and their goals include extracting money from Nigerians to repatriate to their home countries. The more big sales companies come in, the more they drive the locals out of business. No one in government is talking about that because Nigerians are easily impressed by new and conspicuous things. People go into business to make profit not to be patriots. \ |
As far back as 1978 and 1981, Fela and Okosun's songs respectively portrayed the contemporary Nigeria society. Verily, Nigerians are poor students of history. A country that celebrates the likes of MKO Abiola of ITT shame and GEJ of lootocracy-- folks whose one act of benevolence was used to erase numerous atrocities they committed against the state, deserve all the hardship that come their way. The fact is that Nigeria has not had any good leader since the time of Awolowo/Azikiwe. Most wailers and zombies are only comparing and contrasting one mediocrity with another. |
auntysimbiat:\ First thing first, there is no way a brand new bulletproof LandCruiser will cost N16m ($40k) I will give it atleast N50m / |

/ The UK dude bore the biggest risk. People take bullets for the part he played. \ |
But when they drive through Osha-Enugu expressway or the rickety River Niger bridge, they will be wailing "marginalization!". But here they are supporting a looter who didn't help their cause in 8 years. I am expecting Ohaneze to proclaim 100% Igbo votes for Atiku in 2019 soon even though the latter has not officially declared his interest to contest. That is how cheap Igbo votes are. They will nickname him Okafor and add a befitting traditional title to it. But when reality sets in, they will be the first to wail. Igbo political sophistication at best! \ |
Why / |
Mzflexydeeva:/ Have you ehhhnnnnnn...never mind. \ |
lovelygurl:/ Test drugs on people and pay millions of dollars in fines. OR Give an African chief N5m (about $13k) and he will line his people up as guinea pigs. The best part is if anything goes wrong, it is considered the will of God and the drug manufacturer will not be held responsible. So it is cheapest to look towards Africa. \ |
/ Drugs are first tested on lab rats. Then on sub-humans (Africans) Before being used on humans (the rest) \ |
linearity:/ Venture is a risky undertaking. Check. Financial is anything relating to money. Check. MMM is a financial risk. Check. Ponzi schemes last a long time. Even in Ponzi schemes, people make a lot of money. It is the greedy ones who don't know when to get out that get burned. Is MMM a Ponzi scheme? I believe that it is a matter of semantics. 30% returns? Everyone knows that the business model is not sustainable. But if you know how to game the system, you will come out unscathed. I don't know how MMM works. But looking at the claims, it shows that it will take 4 months to turn profit. That is a very short term good return. N1m yields N300k per month. So in 4 months, N1m yields N1.2m. Then take the N1.2m out and play with the initial N1m. Your risk becomes your time. If it crashes (I prefer the term supersaturates -- recipients outnumber helpers), then you lose nothing but time and effort. \ |
The fact is that the world is evolving. Traditional careers like medicine, engineering, law, etc are good but they are nomore the leading pathways to success. But many Nigerian parents will beg to differ. A doctor spends many years and money to train in his field. At the end of the year, he/she walks home with $250k. A young kid does a Youtube video on how to apply makeups, gets million views and followers, then bags millions of dollars in a year. Like they say, life ain't fair. Nigerian youths need to embrace information technology. Sadly, most of them use the internet only for gossips, reading news and visiting listservs, blogs, instagram, facebook, etc. \ |
Polyestar:/ Nothing is impossible to stop. Having said that, now is the best time to get into MMM because there is a lot of skepticism surrounding it. A lot of people are waiting for the crash but it wont happen. Keep your eyes open. But once the noise about imminent crash subsidizes and just about anyone you know (including naysayers) is into it with gleeful testimonies, that is a sign of supersaturated market. Take your money out. Crash of financial ventures is designed in a way to take the most victims as it could possibly accommodate. MMM is not crashing soon. Just like titanic, it will happen when no one is paying close attention. \ |
/ Two things that kill a fad: 1. A bad joke 2. Rumours. MMM will fall victim of either one. The scheme may be legit, but the participants will have no control over what may spin it out of control. Some people are out to destroy MMM. Historically, such people usually win because fear is greater than greed. Fear will destroy in one week what it took greed four years to build. If in doubt, take a clue from stock market crashes. Explanations only come after the carnage. / |
/ At what point does someone convince you to hand over your money because he/she is the accountant for God? Then you turn around and the same fellow buys a private jet. Yet you pretend that all is well. How stvpid can people be? \ |

no need to ask as I moved to lag.
