My senior siblings whose performance geared me to perform well in my earlier years. My immediate senior sis who insisted and pressurized my parents that i must change from Arts class to Science class. Mummy whose tears fired me up when I did not make JAMB on the thrid attempt. (tears actually come to my eyes whenever I remember this) My sister whose "pointless gist" with a stranger got me into a good industry just after my graduation One expatriate supervisor in my office who kept encouraging me to change my career and work with him after he interviewed me and I refused his offer. My wife who allowed me to pursue further studies to equip myself even though it meant I had to leave her for almost two years. oops!!! It's supposed to be someone. Well, they are all someones. May God bless them all. |
I do not believe your story but if it's true, then you really need to be careful in life. I think you are rash, and you do not think things through begfore acting. it may be your personality but you need to tone it down. 1. you got a job offer, you have not received the first salary before you gathered all the money you had to go get a ring. 2. You threw the ring away just because you were shocked. If this is a true story, then you need a lot of maturity in life o. |
I think this is one reason why the officers will rather drive your vehicle to the station.I really sympathize with the family of the deceased. On the other hand, however, I often feel like running down some of these urchins especially when they surprise me on interstate roads asking for radio permits and all other nonsense. By the way, I need some education on why I am supposed to pay for a car radio permit for a state I'm just passing through. That's some diversion but I'll appreciate some education in that regards. |
harakiri: Pennywise:Clubgirl is an euphemism for whores. So even if you live 24/7 in the club, that still doesn't make you a club girl unless you make a living from "leaving the club as an attachment". |
I have never told my wife that she is the prettiest in the world, neither did I think in my heart that I married the most beautiful girl in Nigeria. So I don't get any surprises when I see prettier babes. I just admire and move on to appreciate the beauty that my wife has. Afterall, life has taught me that beauty is only skin deep. |
bethangel:Gbam!!! one of the most important clues that can tell you how a man/woman will treat you later is to watch out for how he/she treats people that he/she does not like. if he/she treats them with respect, you can be sure he/she's going to treat you with respect even if you have to break up. However, if he/she beats up someone just because he/she doesn't like the face, you can be sure it will be your turn some day. |
let me talk about myself here. She did not fall out of love or jilt me. We had a good friendship (platonic) but when I proposed marriage she said no. we were back together a few years later. And now we've been married for 11 years. We are happy together. why did I give the relatioship another chance when she became available? Because she did not disrespect me when she said no. No abuse, no insult, no name calling or story telling. She allowed me to leave with my integrity and self respect. if any man or woman stepped on your integrity or self respect when he/she was trying to break up with you, then you better watch your back if he/she tries to come back to your life. If they treated you with respect at the height of your disagreement, I tell you that you can safely take the risk of going back to them. |
OP - Love goes way beyond f.uck. If you guys are shagging and yet she can not afford to be naked with you, then there is a problem. Love has a lot to do with acceptance. it may be OK if a "one night stand" babe refuses to be seen naked or if she decides she won't go topless for you, but if you both are shagging in the name of love then you have to be more open. And yes, she can continue like that in marriage if you guys don't work on it now. You may need to work more on reassuring her of your love and acceptance of her. No matter what, please don't go ahead without addressing that situation o. A situationwhere a man never sees his woman naked is a good ground for cases of women hiding pregnancies for (or lying about being pregnant to) men they live with. |
Come to think of it, if the man died at 55, that means he was about 26 when he won the ACN with the Eagles in 1980. Segun Odegbami is now 57 and I don't think these people have reasons to have falsified their ages. These guys retired soon after 1980 and I'm wondering why Nigerian footballers (especially those that belong to that generation) retire so early. Is it all about the poverty and lack of training materials? |
Remii:I also heard that the man was a goalkeeper trainer to one of the national teams but when it was time to go for the tournament, it was an official that took his place. Only God can save us o. |
ohisng:There is a lot of difference between been a liar and being a fool. I'm not convinced that this IG is a liar or that he has no dignity. He is simply stupid fool, a buffoon. he should have crosschecked faacts, confisticated cameras, phone camera et al before coming out to say this nonsense. |
The babe serves tea to my wing of the office building. She is one "wicked" igbo babe. You know igbos can be seriously pretty. She's petite, yet not small, she has a glowing fair complexion that is obviously natural. She has all the curves in the right places. I really don't discriminate against people based on their means of livelihood as long as it is legal, so it is the fear of my reputation (as a quiet, easy going and Godly married man) that has kept me away from her. I don't want her to misunderstand my intentions or take the friendship further than I intended for it. Otherwise she's someone I would love to sit down, chat and laugh with. He is one of the guys around. I know he's on that wing of the building but I don't even know his unit or office in particular. She has just served my coffee and was on her way out of my office when I tasted the coffee and decided that she should add some coffee to improve the taste. I went out through the other door to meet her in the kitchen area. Just about then, HE was passing behind her and tickled her on the sides in a flirtatious manner. She was jolted by the tickle (and probably by my appearance) and she rammed the trolley into the wall. He didn't wait to see what happened because he was scared about my presence too. I laughed inside me and I thanked God I was not in the guy's shoes. I would have been ashamed to no end. She added some more coffee to my cup and I apologized on his behalf. She smiled happily and thanked me. I'll probably ask her about the guy later. Have you been caught in an office romance? Or have you ever caught ay lovebird(s) in a compromising position? What happened? What did you do? How did they react? |
Is it not if you know? Do you know how many girls have had sexual relationships with more than 30 men and still appear as innocent? Meanwhile, I hope you know that "dating" and "having sex with" someone are not the same. |
I'm gunning for 30-35K. at that rate, I believe I won't be scared if my driver threatens to leave, because I'll get another one pretty easily fast that salary. I also know he won't harass me too much about leaving because he won't easily get that rate unless he's going to work for a very big company. |
Seun, you are truly great. You have touched many lives with this your little gift. Some of us have had fun when we were bored, some have gotten answers to some serious questions of life, some have had the opportunity to reach out and help others with their counsel. I doubt if you are rich yet in terms of naira and kobo, but your life is as rich as it can be because you have truly given to the society. I wish more of our young folks will be like you. Happy birthday. |
iice:I reject that in Jesus' name. How can you call this one a student? I don't think this one has anything to do with going back to school. He sounds more like an intelligent illiterate. |
When Lamidi Adedibu said Dora begged him to help her become a minister, she denied the accusation and we all defended her. Events have proven Adedibu right. First, she became a minister and the portfolio she got shows that she must have been desperate to become a minister at all cost. Now she is airing her daughter's wedding live on AIT and STV (maybe on some other stations too). Of what essence is the live transmission of a wedding if not to show off. May God forgive all of us. |
Lawyer, landlady wey don chop her husband (a la the poster) nor go get any mercy o. You the kind of war she go dey fight with the husband people go don toughen her up for all her callousness. Talking seriously, those that fall into the category described by the poster are usually mean. may God forgive me sha, since I have not really experienced anything like that and I'm talking like this. |
We often misuse that valuable irreplaceable time called courtship. Courtship is not a time to know how good our spouse will be in bed. Don't just focus on the times when you asked and (s)he gave or yielded to your requests. Focus more on how (s)he deals with her/his siblings, how (s)he treats the waiter at the restaurant, the conductor/stranger in the bus and even her/his subordinates, colleagues and boss at work. If (s)he shows respect to them, (s)he will repsect you. If (s)he treats them with comtempt, it will be your turn one day when the love tan goes off your skin. How does (s)he behave when (s)he is angry? Take good note because it will be your turn one day. How does (s)he relate with people that you know that (s)he knows that you know that (s)he can't stand i.e. people (s)he hates? He will have a tendency to treat you like that in her/his down moments. Take good hints when he comments on movies or news items. Relax and study him well enough to know his philosophy about life. Of course, shit does happen, but when it does, there is a kind of confidence that comes when you know that you have done your due diligence. |
I can't remember the details but a lady once sued her university and won. I think the univerity said she used fake results to gain admission or so, and she was to be expelled when she was already in her final year but she sued on the grounds that the result she gave the university was exactly what WAEC gave her and the school had enough time investigate the matter before she got to the final year. I think she won. My point is that you can sue the university. However, it is not the university's fault that you graduated with a 3rd class, they wasted your time alright but you need to convince the court that you failed to get a job because of that. Also, you need to calculate how much you have made during the period considering the fact that you would have been going around with a 3rd class degree. I think what you have been doing during the down time could also strenghten your case for compensation. I'll say a few millions will be more reasonable than 1 billion naira. Meanwhile, their counsel will remind the court that there are many people without university education that are gainfully employed, there also university graduates with better grades than yours that are still jobless so it will be tough to deduce that your situation is a direct consquence of their action/inaction talk to your lawyer sha. |
