if you pay for priority, you get it in 5 days......super priority is 24hrs or so....standard time is 15days. if you are not in a hurry, do the standard time....i got mine way less than the 15 working days

Missybeee:
Good day house
Please, how long does UK visa decision takes? I know the official waiting time is 15 working days, but for those who have gone through the process, how long does it really take, realistically? I am working with a timeframe.

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

I had filled 'No' because she didn't go on a health and care visa.
I am most grateful.
I had to go read the CoS and you are very correct, it was stated there.

giselle237:
i dnt think you are on the right page.. pls what visa application page are you filling?
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/apply-visa-type/dependant
This is the link to where/what you shud be applying.
Also concerning ihs, ur spouse’s COS shud carry a note that the main applicant is eligible for health and care... also when filling the form, when asked are you eligible for health and care.. tick yes

So pls confirm from your spouse+spouse’s employer about the health and care visa. Do not proceed until sure of what you are filling as if you apply for the wrong visa type, the money will not be refunded and u will be most assuredly denied.

good day Senior Ladies and gentlemen,

I am trying to apply for a dependent visa(spouse to a health worker on a skilled workers visa).
At the point of IHS, i am been asked to pay $2000+ as cost of IHS. i thought it was scrapped for dependents of those in health care?

Please direct me to the right path if i am doing something wrong

gracias

tolajay:
No.

Medical personnel and their dependents are no longer required to pay IHS.

It was scrapped last year: https://crossborderlegal.co.uk/has-goverment-scrapped-of-the-ihs-fee-for-healthcare-workers/

Hi Everyone, I am new here. I tried to read and digest this thread but I just don’t understand. My mother would like to migrate to the Uk as a Registered Nurse. She worked with Lagos state General hospital for 35years. She retired last year. She is 59yrs. She wants to be close the a few of her family in the Uk that’s why she wants to relocate legally. She also wants to get busy, she hates been idle and wants to work. Is it possible to migrate to the Uk with her age?
If yes what are the steps?
I would be very glad if someone can put us through thank you

Good Evening Fam. Please does anyone know about this stage in the new NMC UK process? I want to know if one still has to contact NMCN for this "Regulator verification". I already contacted them (with the 17,500 naira payment) during the earlier "qualification Regulator verification" and "evaluation". Pls I need an explanation. Thanks

Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS):

As per the recent updates, the UK home office has confirmed that the nurses and their families who are applying for UK visas would be exempted from IHS payment from 4th August 2020. If you or your family has paid IHS surcharge on or after 31st March 202, you would be eligible for a refund. You can request the refund through the home office website. Nurses and their families would be exempted from IHS surcharge for all visa applications/extensions from 4th August 2020.

some good news.

Hi. If you’ve the money you can apply together but when filling your visa application form pick different date of arrival ( up to 3 months from application date) from the main applicant. That’s what we did anyway and it worked

Religion / Re: Catholic Archdiocese Donates Relief Materials To Lagos Government by Iruosonobrugwhe: 4:00pm On Apr 17, 2020
he Archbishop later revealed that the support offered to Lagos State Government was in addition to the provisions for the poor that he directed the over 180 parishes of the Archdiocese to make in their different localities spread all over the State. He commended the Priests and the faithful of the different Parishes for taking action on the directive, thereby revealing Jesus’ love of the poor in the provisions they are making for the people.

About 78 smaller parishes that could not afford to make the provisions without some support were assisted with various sums of money from the nearly 10million naira that was raised from the Archbishop’s Appeal to the faithful at the beginning of the lockdown. He expressed gratitude to the lay faithful who within a short period of time helped him to raise the money

Thank you......this is a very very valid information. we never thought of the BRP.

Soknown:

If you apply together, then you have to travel almost together, reason- you have to travel within some days of receiving your visa. So that you can meet up with the collection of your Brp. You can not collect on anyone's behalf. You have to consider accommodation also.
Having family with you could be a big support base for you as you prepare for the exam or it could be a big distraction. No two circumstances are the same.

Thanks for being open to all questions. From your experience ,what would you advise a family that can afford the 5m?
Apply together with the principal but wait till after the OSCE? or wait for the principal to go and then start the visa processing?
