WhatsApp came preinstalled and all you needed was to connect to contacts on your phone list.
Whereas 2go needed to be downloaded and installed (remember 50mb price that year?) And then you need to send friend request and all that

So I don't think it's about design or GC or geographical spread. Take Telegram for instance, it's much better than WhatsApp but you have to download and install and most young people just don't want to go there on their first device

I can say why they collapsed:

1. They weren't quick to develop an android app, and when they did, they maintained the same UI and UX they had on S40 and S60. This was bad to navigate on touchscreen devices.

2. They had Whatsapp as a competitor, and unlike 2go, Whatsapp didn't need you to buy GC to do basic stuff. Also, it was easier to connect with friends, since you only needed to have their phone numbers.

3. They didn't work on their marketing and geographic expansion game. They only had African users, out of which 80% are Nigerians.

First of all, when you project yourself, you don't float around in the physical realm (Like going to your lecturer's office), your consciousness is projected into another realm.

You guys gives so much credit to the devil or forces of evil as if they created and control everything. Whereas the power of God superintend all processes, realms and beings.

The great men of God of old were great spiritualists, understanding and using these processes, mantra, chanting etc for good and God bless them with great wisdom and powers. But we have been reduced to babies feeding on milk and soft food of salvation, doctrines and fear of hell fire instead of being grounded in love (the ultimate force), the knowledge of how things work and most importantly “being filled to all the fullness of God - Ephesians" and ”partakers of divine nature - 2 Peter"

If in your spiritual journey, you have not entered another realm especially through prayers or meditation, you are still a baby Christian incapable of understanding spiritual matters

Once you don't have enough foreign reserves to protect balance of trade, your currency will fall.

This is how to protect your economy.

To buy something you don't produce (import), either you sell something in return which the other country does not produce or you sell what you have and get enough (in this case) dollars to balance the payment.

Now, Nigeria lost crude oil market due to failure of the Petroleum Industry Act which caused oil majors to either cut production or stop opening new frontiers.

As Nigeria could not get enough foreign exchange and the thirst for foreign goods increasing, the Naira was bound to fall.
CBN just had to desperately patch to sustain the currency to prevent free fall.
The fact remains, if imports were allowed (that is, borders were not closed), it would have been worse

It seems you entered the soft skills market when you desperately needed money and as such every endeavors had a timeline to breakeven, putting pressure on you and your finances.

I started digital skills from school as a past time, giving me opportunity to learn and also deliver low cost (and sometimes free) solutions which translates to more opportunities and connections in the long run.

By the time I had gone professional, I already had a brand and there were clients queued up.

Get a side hustle (someone said here driving or some of these government empowerment schemes), to be paying the bills while you focus on providing solutions not just the money and building your network
