Chummynoni:How many times will you give up on the country? This line is getting stale. |
CyberWolf:There are a lot of secessionist groups in Ethiopia. Some even have soldiers guarding their area with no government forces present. They have been fighting for years and have good military experience. While these group don't hate the PM, at the same time, they don't want to commit to a national fight. All that will change should the Tigray take over. Those groups will be ruthless in expelling Tigray fighters and they cannot be threatened by the UN or US because they don't care. |
CyberWolf:It is in their best interest not to win! There plan is to seize the capital and force the government into negotiation. What they don't realize is that the current government is not really in charge of a vast area of the country and whatever agreement they have will not be binding. Also people are saying that they are like Nigeria’s Fulani’s meaning that what’s going on in Ethiopia today might befall Nigeria in the future if care is not taking.I don't know why people fear the Fulani who have no real military power. There is a clear difference between engaging in criminal hide and seek using civilians as a cover and actually fighting an all-out war where there is nowhere to hide. The so-called Fulani control over Nigeria's army is exaggerated. If you don't believe me, google Amnesty international's report on Boko haram war and the Nigerian army's excesses. The Nigerian army are ruthless regardless of their target. If in the future, a section of Nigeria decide to behave like the Tigrays, the worst that could happen is outright disintegration. Any form of military campaign will end in disaster for any would be invader. What is certain is that the so-called Fulanis will have no army to fight for them. |
Penguin2:There is no shifting ground to Ipob terrorist group. Well, there is one, unconditional surrender and plead for mercy by Ipob can change the situation. |
CyberWolf:You are not interested in Ethiopia. You are interested in misinformation about Ethiopia. When Tigrays were in power, they only developed their region, created sectional armies and underfunded the national army. They even fought bloody war against Eritrea's independence and other secessionist groups under the guise of patriotism. But Tigrays who are minorities lost election, they have decided to start causing trouble. Ethiopia people are to blame for allowing Tigray party to stay in power for decades. Get this clear, even if the capital fall to the Tigray, it will do them no good as the majority ethnic Ethiopians have already seen the deceit of the Tigray as regards Ethiopia's nationhood. Then will the Tigray see a true civil war. |
CyberWolf:Tigray are election losers claiming persecution. |
PaNnamdi:Have jihadists cut access to your villages? NO. So, what are you complaining about? You would feign concern and at the same time condemn any actions taken against bandit. |
nairalandankrah:Basic comprehension seems to be too hard for you Ipob members. Read the post again slowly this time. Warn your fellow Ipob and UGM, in addition to facing military might, they also risk permanent visa ban if they try to disrupt Anambra election. |
JAMO84:Since there is no upper limit to number of terrorists group Nigeria can have, then supporting one and fighting another doesn't make you any better. |
Fasindo:You are just confused. On one hand, you think the military deters herdsmen. The residents know the important roles being played by the military, that is why they are alarmed by their absence. Rather than acknowledge it, you are busy speaking from 2 sides. By the way the soldiers are not always the one protecting and maintaining peace anywhere.Tell us who are those maintaining peace anywhere? If you think I am lying you should ask yourself why the millitary has not been able to secure northern states where bandits are having a field. It is easy to ask a question but getting intelligent answers is the hard part! They are only good at mounting checkpoints.Yes, they are good at mounting checkpoints to checkmate criminals. |
Blue3k:Don't run more than your shadow. I have read the so-called research and it is filled logical fallacies. I will mention you when I update my post. |
Drella:Hand the phone back to the owner kid! You don't want want more problems in addition to your gender confusion. |
It offers similar advantage as any type of marriage including traditional. For those who think they can escape responsibility by avoiding court wedding. You are acting out of ignorance. Unless you are poor church rat, the court can force you to take responsibility if sued by your ex-spouse. Court wedding or not, Nigerian law does not grant automatic sharing of spouse assets so I don't see the reason for fear-mongering against court marriage. If your ex-spouse can provide evidence that they contributed to the acquisition of the property, then it will be forcefully shared by the court. Your spouse can also be granted support rights for a period of time depending on the circumstance. Traditional wedding won't save you from the law! If you don't want responsibilities, never marry under any system and more importantly, never have kids. With kids, you can't just kick out your wife with nothing. |
jericco1:Again, you are mixing things up. Every type of cult group today predates your great great grandfathers. These violent cult group being discussed here have elements of spirituality and worship in their initiation and operations. Even confraternities in secular western university also include religious practises. Cult groups being religious is the norm. |
jericco1:All these kids. Cult groups predates even your great great grandfather. Read some history! |
DOTian:Which royal fathers? The ones you and your fellow Ipob members declared as warrant chiefs, saboteurs and called useless? Call on Ipob/ESN to deal with her and leave the royal "efulefus" alone. |
Nope. |
Was there peace while he was free? No. More innocent people and also security officers lost their lives while he hid in London as a free man. The first time he was freed, he broke all his bail conditions, became statewide terror and eventually armed a terrorist group. Fool me once parable applies here. |

Benbellamor:Financial illiteracy at display. Pension administrators not "owners" determine where the fund is invested. In this case, the administrators invested in Federal government security which comes with fixed interest. |
Pension fund investment in federal government securities still accounted for the bulk of 64 per cent of total pension fund assets, crowding out investments in other sectors of the economy, even as it dropped by about N220billion from N8.51trillion in July, 2021 to N8.29 trillion as of the end of August 2021.These quota system journalists are something. The journalist crafted a fake headline to rile up the ignorant as usual. It is normal for pension funds to be invested in various safe security products, in case of Nigeria, federal offers are often preferred for their safety. FG didn't borrow from pension, the pension administrators invested in Federal government securities as many other Nigerians do. |
Fake news. The soldiers skipped several communities on their way and decide to choose Izombe and burn it down because? BTW, Nigerian army cannot "invade" a Nigerian territory. Learn proper English! |
Tales by moonlight. Anybody can just narrate a fiction, post it online and the story is believed 100% without scrutiny. SMH |
IMASTEX:Seat belt is not for the individual protection alone. Read more about it. You could drive within your compound even without closing your car door and no one will bother you. That said, if you believe the seat belt law is wrong, start working against it in a democratic way. Why will government arrest you for trying to commit suicide or isn't it your life?Suicide as a crime(only public one) is usually the product of dysfunctional, theocratic government or a relic of colonial laws. If someone attempts suicide in their room, they won't be bothered. In any case, in many countries, attempted suicide is not a crime. Why should government invest finance & human resources to intelligent policing, when they could have just say, citizens please don't commit crime and leave it at that. Now, you have partly acknowledged the real function of government which is maintaining law and order. Even with this, crime happens everywhere and no reasonable person expect any government to prevent all crimes. Your thinking is why Nigeria will never get the right people in power. After all, anything goes and they don't owe no one any responsibilities.Your arguments despite the lack of legal and civic education is actually why we have many problems because you like the majority can't even see the real problem. The government is not your personal body guard to help you move around safely during your normal working day. If a regulatory agency marks your building for violation, you have not committed any crime. If you secretly continue the construction, you have not committed any crime even when found out. They could get a court order to demolish the building or place heavy fine or even revoke the contractors license if the law permits it. Still, no crime have been committed yet. You are probably shocked that such "impunity" is allowed to take place but that is the norm unless you are planning to move to North Korea or change existing laws to start punishing people for what they have not done yet. When government go heavy on rule violators, many of you brand them tyrant. If the owner of this building survives and is charged, I can assure you that building more than allowed will not be the main legal issue but the fact that people died on the site. |
slowice:There are many southerners speaking for legally-declared terrorist groups. Some are even part of the government and grant frequent interviews. |
I pity the banks that funded the project. Another bad loan in the making. |
after4:If they are looking for literate person, you should hide your head. How are the unattributed videos on the internet related to the Izombe incident? I feel your pain, one of the Ipob angels who escaped from Owerri prison has now been neutralized. |
Coming back. |

kayuseful:Regulatory job isn't about preventing all illegalities, no one can. It serve more by issuing penalties after an infraction has been discovered. |
Decency2020:Stop being cynical and put the blame where it lies. I have driven by many average looking houses blocking drainage or dangerously close to river. The buildings were already marked with red "stop work", yet, the owner continue. The government job is limited. It is not your personal bodyguard to hold your hands and guide you around safely. |
