Staying pon the island is an advantage on this venture.

Not necessarily....i live in the mainland around Maryland. My headbanger moments during the week.

5.30am destination set for V.I, conclude that by 6.30am by then your island residents are just waking up to prepare for work so I can quickly enter Lekki still on destination trip and make like 2 trips all before 8am when I slide enter office.
In the evening I may get a Lekki Agungi or ajah trip and face there and from there set destination back to ikeja then get a trip back to Lekki or V.i this is like 9pm I just go to kpmg or even from admiralty any which ways I go get correct mainland trip anni slide enter home.

Now you staying on the island your best bet very early in the morning na airport trip and once you don reach mainland by 7/8 you fit just hook or it make tou dey island dey do the usual short short trips and then the occasional longy to mainland whereas if me dey island by then rides sure...island is good to be but not so advantageous to live as a driver IMO though...

I am with a rider that have this chronic body odour, it became worse with the AC on.
Won't she feel bad if I leave me window open? The thing is affecting me.

It happens what I do is open the AC vent so that the air is coming from outside and not recirculating that way it reduces any odours inside the car but if smoke dey outside una go perceive am for inside the car.

But what are they all doing here? Nawao!

Actually I once heard that Airport drivers trying to discourage uber drivers are the ones who most times inflate this number I dunno how but I mean can up to 70 cars truly be waiting for riders at the airport...anyway na to continue observing.

For me once it is not the 1-5 Or 6-10 na to look away.
What even puzzles me is sometimes on weekends local will be 30-35 and international will be 6-10 and it will be the time a flight is arriving me will blow from Ikeja or ilupeju and get trip in max 20mins and the count will still be high at local.some drivers need to wise up abeg.

Omoh na dem know oh, na weytin I fit afford for now. How do I want to raise over 1.5m for clean direct tokunbo 2003 toyota Corolla.

I feel if your vehicle is clean and with the right attitude rating shouldn't be a problem. Besides I notice uber riders are well behaved and understanding at the once I have been coming across. Na mostly taxify riders I dey get issues with.

Don't be deceived the vehicle type matters.even though the Car clean they will rate you down still
besides why the rush why not save up a bit and get minimum of an 06 vehicle...very soon they may increase the cut off date for vehicles year of manufacture

Good morning house, will this 2002 toyota Corolla be accepted on the bolt platform, I intend buying it instead of the 2003 model that will break my bank account.

The both vehicle share almost the same engine if not exactly the same.

Uber will surely accept it.

You should consider rider ratings.how acceptable is the Car to riders as well.

Good morning again house, plz I need sakamanje tips and tricks o. I will appreciate anyone help, plz biko, don't want to go back to village

Who advised you to go the way of sakamanje?? That person is just misleading you...you get caught and you are banned forever on one or even both platforms then you are stuck. This work is simply all about being very smart but also prayerful as well as with any business.if you don't put God first you might just be running in vain.so do that first and then play by the rules.speak directly to the right Elders who will never advise saka. let me share some tips for you anyway.

First off people always ask this question of where to position yes most times those work out well but then again there is always the trip you get from the least place you are expecting and yet those trips end up being fruitful.so sometimes it not always about where to position there is always a balance.

I don't know where you stay but in the mornings always target residential areas for people who are going to work now understand that people going to work are aware there is traffic so they plan their trip with that in mind.you cannot for example be looking for a trip to island and be at magodo or Ogudu by 7 or 8am the workers have since left you may now find shop owners etc but you have missed the rush of office n bank workers who will leave between 5 and 6am.

In the evenings Target the major work areas for people who are closing and wanting to go home so you cannot be at Oke Afa or Ogudu or magodo at 5/6pm and expect trips to be falling left right centre (not that you cannot get like I said above) but you are better off being where there will be rush of people looking for rides home.for example Monday- Saturday marina and atimes V.i you will always see surge building from like 5pm till 7pm on Uber I don't do bolt at all so I cannot speak for them so if you are close there just blow away and your ride is sure but you will see one by drivers saying they cannot blow empty from Yaba to marina then they wait hours for trip whereas someone has blown empty and has done 2/3 trips already..

Target Major hotels for between 11am and 12pm because their guests will be checking out at that time .

You have to know trending places that will always have expected high requests at certain times.e.g target major churches that have mid week service because when they are closing your ride request is sure and I guess same goes to major mosques on Friday after prayers too..
Target major events at Eko hotel of course like Falz experience that held recently I cashed out major cos I had a surge trip to ikoyi of 2.8 when the show ended dropped the rider blew back another surge trip within V.I blew back again and a final surge trip of 1.8 to surulere and I closed for the night.

On weeknites certain offices are surge to give you trip now am talking of between 8 and 9pm when the early workers have gone home...In V.i target KPMG during those hours but other drivers are there with you or basically target any bank head office cos the Head office workers most times close late same with those that have head office at Marina..

Friday and the rest of the weekend you really should not have issues with getting rides but same things apply Saturdays target major event centres as people are leaving after their parties same on Sundays and also as churches are closing but really weekend should be easy breezy for you.

Another thing is have observed sometimes don't be scared of doing short trips you will observe the more you are active the more requests come to you. This i have observed a lot whereas when you are waiting you seem to wait forever but once you start moving most times it is back to back from there not all the time but especially like weekends it always happens.

Lastly the airport.now here you already have a counter so you know whether or not it is worth it.for me once am not in the first 10 queue for airport I can never go there to wait and that is also in addition to using flight tracking apps so you know when flights are landing so you are not waiting endlessly for nothing.

Last again cos I just remembered lolz...law enforcement and new laws police lastma taskforce and robbers...AVOID some places at night e.g mile 2 Ago, Eko bridge costain and anywhere you can get stuck in traffic and get robbed.dont park anyhow during the day target fast food joints or approved parking cos anyhow parking na LG taskforce go wan catch you they know 9 out of 10 parked corolla with driver inside n.a. ehail so it's their latest pet project for making money so be kiaful for parking.
I think I said enough..i really hope your HP is sensible like you stated and not too high and wish you the best.i don't need to tell you to save you should know already otherwise experience would tell you.you can also monitor your expenses as again your income to see and know if you are maybe overspending e.g your fuel purchase should return 2.5× to 3× on the average otherwise you are not on track.
Take Kia.. .

Me: hmm
Rider : will u take me to nearest Atm or I transfer later
Me: hmmm
Rider: talk now.
Me wey don tire for traffic, I will now start looking for Atm machine.
Me: don't worry transfer later

Next day:
Me: hello I've not gotten alert
Rider: I forgot sorry
Evening
Me: no alert
Rider: pls don't worry urself at all I will transfer it, just forget I'm not like that okay.
Okay just don't worry.

3days no alert I just weak but no call her again maybe she use something talk to me.
Yesterday morning I see her alert and call I no just pick.

Before I accept transfers I let you know its not my preferred option especially if you only are saying it at the end of the trip.sensible rider will ask you if you accept transfers the minute you start the trip so they can get cash.i only prefer same bank transfers wet I know say delay no go dey like that

It depends on what you feel is okay for you to count as full day pay.if it were me I would say 20k -25k especially if it's within Lagos only cos that is how much I would make on a very good day and that is what offline requires. rider may negotiate but lowest I can likely do I for full day is 15k.if it now involves outside Lagos then it increases.

Na waoo, just start the trip they will run and call by force.

More like the riders who you will give phone so that they speak with security at their estate gate 30secs later at their house they are asking have u arrived??

The same traffic danfo driver, Uber driver is praying Against is the same traffic hawkers Are praying for.

You pray to have light 24/7,people who supply diesel pray there shouldn't be light, so there will be business.

You pray AGAINST Death, but coffin sellers in ur district pray for business.

In this Uber business every owner should pray not to encounter A MANIPULATIVE MECHANIC/GAZZUZZ.

Every new driver hustling to buy a new car should pray not to encounter A manipulative dealer/carshopper, he will sell you dead Kia Rio and tell you he still has plenty on the road.

DRU23 said he sold All his cars And start afresh. He is still in business because he has other sources.

Last year in this forum, someone Asked About shockabsober corolla, ogunvic reply the person that is sold for 19k in ladipo, I directed the person to somebody in ladipo he bought those shock for 5k each, that guy is making heavy sells now to plenty Uber owners.

So young man no such thing as hating, just As u r marketing THAT APP, YOUR PRAYER IS TO BE BETTER THAN UBER.

But Oga are you jobless or what even on this public holiday abeg make people rest and you face your front.even if you don't get scammed by Gazzuzz trust me someone else will scam you .you cannot win it all so please let us have peace here abeg...

Everybody knows rental is between 30k-35k... At least 95% of good cars goes with this price.

If there is a car for 27500/25000 is either A problematic car or car that consume more fuel.

Anybody that change engine oil and oil filter in ur shop and pay you 3k that you normally collect is stupid. Other mechanics do it for 500/1000naira.

Anything underneath 1000/1500.

Smart people that truly wants to make money in Uber business will not use ur service. Because all the rental money, u will indirectly take it back.

I can mention how many investors u have successfully frustrate out of this business.
izzou is just A DRIVER he won't understand I'm protecting car owners from this hyena.

You are so deluded if you trueltruely think rentals would just stroll come and meet you at 30-35k.
Otherwise you will just get a newbie who knows nothing and probably dumps your car after a week or two.rentals now are between 25-30k.

Ask Google. Idiots.

You know I was going to ask you the very same question about how much did you spend on fuel if you make 20k weekly and still pay your partner 35k.i came up with this conclusion.

1. You are a frigging pack of lies.

2.The ex-bricklayer mindset would never make you respond in the way you did above...oops I just remembered, your alter ego and not the bricklayer decided to respond in his typical manner.

You happen to know uber more than the ceo, if uber had no rental in mind, how come they have driver and owner match on their website?

Wake up guy and smell the fish...Ehailing was not designed for rentals but we Nigerians we too get Agidi and we don't want to hear the truth. How realistic and for how long do you think drivers want to be paying 30k or now 25k weekly and keeping at best 10k weekly only to themselves. It is even better if it is HP but not all these silly killer throat HP am talking company HP where you have a car and you pay 50-60k monthly for 24 months max...But since Rentals has become a source of livelihood for some what can we do but hope for the best but knowing the inevitable.

Sorry about that. It's one of the ways that Nigerian drivers are getting ripped by uber/taxify's low fares & fraudulent business policies.

The major risks of driving on Lagos roads are not covered by any insurance policy, yet taxify actually goes a step further by forcing drivers to buy their so-called 'bolt shield' just to extort more money from drivers whose vehicles are already comprehensively insured.

What kind of trashy talk is this..are you one of the NUEDP guys who blame every misfortune on Uber Bolt.
