omonla10: Does getting you car clamped make sense?? Wetin you dey find for Airport if you cannot pay the N400. Anyway this is what I do for Airport trips which I usually do in the evenings. I target the hour mark when there are sometimes surge but I also check how many cars are in queue.if more than 3 I don't bother or at worse I do one drive by from local to international and leave if no request comes.Never park anywhere around there except car park if you love yourself 2 Likes |

ziego: I made a comment in one direction..you are going in a totally different direction.I never said you should not patronize people who leave the card running while you are waiting for them we all like dem short waits but long trips but from my experience and based on how you explained how these guys allow you run the meter "everyday" I am at least 70% certain their card use is fraudulent because any sensible person after the first day would negotiate with you rather than leave the trip running but like ifeez said wetin consign me for dia...I don comot..... |

ziego: Good to hear you have cleared your debt however from how you have described these card trips i strongly suspect a case of card fraud here whereby someone else's card is being used to make the payments possibly without the person's knowledge. How many people would leave the meter running on a daily basis only to be relaxing and drinking beer...anyway no fault or liability can be traced to you kind off except if taxify want to investigate why you are the only one always picking them up if maybe the card owner finally reports assuming it is card fraud. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

mrsage: How you want make the guy garner Uber experience..na from there you go learn say V.I is not the almighty location ...na Positioning...besides for the sake of newbies..if you are in Ikeja Axis your best bet is to head towards the Airport..of you check and see there are no more than 3/4 cars in queue go there especially on the hour mark..there are usually 2.0 surge every other hour i have observed but Abule to VI on empty...haba na wetin hapin... 1 Like |

omonla10: For Uber the rider is already informed of how much the trip would cost and also warned of high charges due to surge so if you are being rated low because of that...the rider is just being stupid...but make sure it is not something else besides probably the approach when you advise on the amount but like i always say i dunno about that of taxify if riders are informed ahead..And to the person saying to stay safe on the mainland due to rains OYO is your case...just pray to God to not have any flood issues it can happen anywhere and for those of us wey our brainbox must not see water kperen....hmmmm...Oluwa is involved..rain rain go away.... 4 Likes |

These Uber dem be wayo small..so i took a 2.6 boost from V.I to Oshodi which was showing as between 5 n 7k for the rider only to get to oshodi and my fare was just 4500 only to see that unlike surge where your surge bonus is untouched this boost would sum up the whole fare and remove their commision so after actual trip was like 2k and boost was 3.8k uber just chop 1.5k on top...still better than taxify sha |

BayoManuels01: Nice one Bro so quick one how much did you expend on Fuel and what kind of car do you drive.. Am also trying to do some calculations this morning, if my car is consuming 18ltrs per 100km which I know is high and am struggling to still find the culprit but in the meantime how can I figure out how much fuel is burnt in traffic I.e if I go from yaba to V.I which is about 12km how can I set aside fuel used in traffic because going on a sunday evening and on a monday morning will be same 12km but longer time due to monday morning traffic @Gazzuzz; @Carshopper; @Oluwaseunla...any ideas please. |

Emekayoung: Beyond the risk of being removed or sent on "vacation" if your ratings are very low I can say for Uber dunno of taxify that once your confirmation rate goes into the 80% level you start receiving lesser trip requests same if your cancellation rate is high meanwhile in other news I had a trip of like 2k yesterday which rider did not pay and when I reported to Uber they credited me 5k abi na error?? 3 Likes |

Olukunle343: Is this Uber or Taxify I suspect the latter...anyway if it is uber you too can ask for a fare review from your app and Uber would decide however you also need to confirm your trip was not a surge trip which can very much make the fare go higher.. |

medd422: Different strokes for different folks bro that is what I will say besides who knows how long you were doing when you started off but beyond that if you ensure you get your due rest then why not I don't support 18hrs but I usually do about 12 hrs on weekends if other personal engagements or car fixing don't hinder me and it is not like am targeting it that way I may start at 7 or 8 and end like 10pm or 11pm and on some weird days enter like past 12. Now about this experience hullabaloo, am a darned good driver am naturally smart and I already knew like 70% of roads in lagos before I started so I assumed it would be smooth sailing but alas no I did not factor in that my car option would also be a major headache, ave seen Ladipo more times this year than ever but beyond that there are tricks of the trade which you can only learn on the job but the truth is most owners asking for experienced hands just want to have it smooth and it cannot be that way.no be so money easy to make.. |

blackfm: lolz this swings in different ways and i will share 2 experiences.Yesterday on a trip from island to Yaba we were on kofo abayomi and we were close to airforce mess i knew there was traffic on ozumba and also odeku and rider says we should probably divert me i was like na the same traffic eventually i turned to odeku and it haf probably lighter traffic dan ozumba and wen we passed ozumba cos i took under the bridge the rider felt elated that we "avoided" the traffic dere and even gave me great route rating me i happily collect am...fast forward 2 ds morning reverse waka from mainland to V.I . i got to sura and knowing ahamdu bello might be dodgy i hinted to take sura or awolowo but rider insisted on muson na so we reach dere and buhari boys don block road moved on to CMS worse case eventually went back to marina and took idumota back onto sura which i always wanted to do and at some point rider was contemplating okada i was like hmmm okay oh but ride eventually ended on the island and i chopped like 2800 for a usual 1500 waka.... 2 Likes |
