You know every time it is mentioned that the market is dry or saturated or like I have said that rentals would still come down you are always on the frontline to attack and off my head I can only conclude that you are scared silly that you will lose out because you are a sit at home (abroad) partner who just waits for alert every week ...End of year bonanza is over ,we would see sebi we dey tarmac in our own case...

What is Sacrosanct about e-hailing which many still fail to realize and keep in mind is that it was not designed with weekly rental payments in mind at best maybe HP and even the HP of very fair repayment not the cut throat rates that many HP come along with today.It is for Driver partners who after two years hopefully can change their card because a 2 year vehicle on Uber full time will become dead in no time...
E-hailing is here to stay because for as long as the regular taxi cannot meet the standard of an average uber/taxify people would keep turning to them and abandon the yellow fellows...however as more drivers join the platform I see rentals going even lower to 15/20k weekly because December rush is over, we are back to Reality..

Uber and Taxify is already on its last leg of "crashing". One more further reckless insensible reduction in fares and kaboom, profitability is gone in flames.

All primary profit-sucking factors remain constant:
* Lagos traffic √
* Cost of repairs / maintenance √
* Uber/Taxify Commission √
* Bad / unmotorable roads √
* Docs Renewals (comp insurance, licenses etc) √
* wicked riders √

But the constant things about the Profit-making factor is
* Fares are on the decline
* Unreliable surge

This December might have brought some succor in terms of traffic reduction and constant surge, but in like a week's time when the New Year euphoria fizzles out and the tens of thousands of cars that went for village break are back in lagos, then crazy traffic will resume again. I wish I did more research before putting head. Well, that's a story for another day. But my own is, 2019 BAD investments must end sad! Bad energy bad investment, stay far away angry. By the end of 2019, the fence might be as long as Trump's border wall project grin

All of your Analysis is largely still based on a myopic view which is that of a driver on rentals who naturally would struggle to meet up the weekly rentals whereas most driver partners who own their cars somehow find a way to stay and keep on keeping on it would not be as bad as you pointed out above.For those on the fence...una well done...keep observing....

So now partner is wicked? His V6 car is making sure a driver doesn't die of starvation.

My thoughts exactly and a rather shallow statement. How is the Partner wicked, did he force the driver to accept his offer if the driver sees a better offer tomorrow will he not jump ship or if he not meeting up will he not move on...2019 Base abeg.....

Thanks sir

Don't let naysayers deceive or discourage you.whatever you have driving you to get on the uber platform would determine the true outcome of whether or not you are up to it....try it yourself and see first that is all I would say much more I could but I would rather you tried things out yourself....

Good morning sirs and MA's. Still waiting for a positive response

Let him continue with his rentals and be patient in generating the balance required there is no need to hurry for what will eventually be yours, getting a loan at 800k just puts you under unnecessary pressure and I would strongly advise you focus on corolla and not camry

The Surge here is really crazy. But hope you know that there will be a lot of traffic, making the fare you charged not worth it.

Traffic is normal and to be expected so saying the fare will not be worth it under surge is not true.

Meanwhile I think I have been generous with some of my riders and my eye should start turning on them I have had three 1star rating this week dropping my score to 4.78 and some of these riders are a case themselves I would stop dashing my 5 stars and start scrutinizing to be sure.

Been a while I commented on this forum....for those drivers that are less than 1yr on the platform please save wisely...the bumper money almost every driver is making now is just for a while...Jan/Feb is always tight and ruff...request automatically disappear and are hard to come by...I remember making up to #75K one day in december meanwhile 15K some weekends in Jan/Feb became gold...this is wishing all the drivers safe trips and bumper pay....merry Christmas and a happy new Year in advance

Oga Dave long time yes that your 75k in one night was very epic those were the days Uber on the island on Saturday and Sunday was permanent 2.0 surge be like say na Becos of you Dem comot am lol..

I've placed a call to the guy. He promised to return ur battery tomorrow. Please do let us know if he doesn't return it. In this era of social media, people need to be very careful.
That's how I took a lady from lkotun to lekki, her fare was N4,500. She promised to transfer d money in few minutes. I allow her go cos she has this innocent look. If I call her, she'll say " I'm doing it now" the next day she stopped picking my calls. Truecaller gave me her full names. I checked Facebook and saw her pictures, I downloaded her pictures, sent them to her via whatzap. Few minutes later. I got alert of N4,500. She reply by "sorry my internet was having issues.

Hahaha...this was so much of a laugh....

Check this

https://ehailing101./2018/10/16/what-your-true-e-hailing-earning-is-the-real-picture-taxify-and-uber-dont-want-you-to-see/?fbclid=IwAR30Dc8z-6GaIf-l4Rk8G8Ixrs_akqPMbKWUW1XpDtkiRGSJ9lPoBVrSEUo

Don't be deceived this is heavily flawed in fact full of fallacy.
1.The amount displayed on the App is net of taxes already yet the bumbo still included taxes again.
2. He mentioned having to drive 17 hours daily to meet up 100k also another lie because I made 95k on Uber only last week and there were days I did not even works more than 6 hours besides Uber even has 12hour timer
3. He mentioned that toll fare is part of your deduction is he kidding me?? When toll fares are added to the Rider's charge and in some cases sef na over Bonus
4. Last but not the least he referred to the weekly rental not realising e-hailing was not set up as a driver rental service..make I rest my case abeg...

they only do that on a cash trip that gets to the 2 hour mark with the driver majorly inactive due to traffic, or waiting for a rider or a combination of the two

Addition....it is also done when the rider is new to Uber as a safeguard in case the guy na scam.
I was in traffic for 3hrs yesterday between Ajao estate and Idimu cash trip and the trip was not ended.
