South Africa has more tourists than Tanzania
That was my point exactly
And Tanzania follows after Egypt which means Kaz is not even on the level below us.And also, did you know that Table mountain gets more tourists than the pyramids in Giza in a year.

how many trophies on the African continent has the most " successfully League competition " won? How many players from this league have gone on to be rated the best in the continent?

That the springboks were captained by Blackman was just quota system. Even you could have captained that team and you will still have won the trophy.
Siya is a quota? I think you Nigerians should stop talking about sport like Rugby & Cricket. They are way above your simple minded 5th world brains grin why would any coach hand the captain reigns to a quota player?

Go and look at the Springbok team that won the world cup. Go and look at past world cup winning squads. Look at your Currie Cup and Super Rugby squads. What does the majority demographic look like? Who are the most well known Springbok players on Earth? Even one of the most capped players, a black known as Tendai the Beast, is a Zimbabwean grin grin

Your folks suck so bad at sports that even the ANC had to beg for racial quotas grin grin.

Your most prized possessions, your diamonds and minerals are owned by De Beers and several other Afrikaners grin

You mentioned you own us through your companies? Who owns Multichoice and Naspers? Are they not Afrikaaners. Aveng LTD, which financed the construction of the FNB stadium, are they not owned by Afrikaaners?

Who owns most of the land in your nation? Isn't the answer to this question the reason for the ANC land grab?

And do not underestimate the influence of Indians in your country. Their businesses line up Durban, JoBurg and many other places in your country.

Should I go on and on? I am more than glad to bring up receipts if need be grin grin

Springbok still won the world cup under the captaincy of a Black South African.Given the history of South Africa it should not be rocket science to figure out why the South African rugby team has been dominated by whites.

We suck at sport yet we built PSL? the richest and most successful soccer league in Africa? Udontminit cheesy

And who owns your oil? Is not British men with companies like Shell and BP? show me one refinery plant you built.

And speaking of those companies, aren't you ashamed that the employment of Nigerians depend on companies own by Afrikaaners? and if I recall correctly the CEO of MTN is a black South African which means we got your economy by the balls by default grin

Majority of South African land is unoccupied.Does it even make sense to you that a minority group can own most of the land in a big country like South Africa?

You can bring the receipts if it means so much to you to prove a point to me.

I always fail to understand the braggadocious attitude of Black South Africans.

What have black South Africans produced? What have they accomplished for their nation?

Their cricket team is dominated by South Asians and English Afrikaaners.

Their field hockey teams are dominated by Afrikaaners.

Their mighty springboks’ is dominated by their fellow Dutch Afrikaaners and coloured countrymen.

Their various multinational companies and industries are controlled by Whites.

Indians control commerce in Durban and JoBurg.

And finally, their modern infrastructural development is due to the work of their Afrikaaner slave masters during the Apartheid years (and still to this day!!!)

So my fellow Black South Africans, I ask you a simple question: What have you contributed to the successes of your nation?
We wouldn't piss you off with our braggadocious attitude if you didn't obsess over everything we do,but anyway. ..

We achieved what you couldn't achieve in your 60 years of "independence"

- Even though you proud yourself as the football powerhouse,we still hosted the world cup before you.

- We built the longest tar roads in Africa while in Nigeria people still have to springboard above sinkholes to get to the other side of the road grin

- ANC managed to provide more than 90% of the popularion with electricity.Do you even know how a switch works?

There's no Asian in South African cricket team. There are more black players now than ever.I'm surprised you even heard of a sport called cricket.

Black people generally don't care about Hockey so you are just reaching with your desperation.

Our Rugby won the World cup under captaincy of a Black South African,Siya Kolisi from the Easten Cape grin

And some of those companies have blacks as CEOs and majority shareholders which means we own you and your country by default grin .If we want we can pull out and you will go back to feasting on dogs for survival.

Indians don't control anything in South Africa,in fact Indian people have a lot in common with Nigerians. They are the worshippers of massa.

The South African infrastructure increased massively after 1994.We didn't have the Gautrain and biggest sport grounds then.

We're fellows? shocked since when?

No, the name of the movie she starred in is Monster. She portrayed female serial killer, Aileen Wournos...hence I used the term, "American psycho".

Yeah, I watched it & every single one of them got on my nerves with their BS accents lol.

Morgan tried, but his own was tolerable mainly because he had a bit of resemblance to Madiba, plus it appeared as if he'd done his part in studying the mannerisms of his subject etc. Overall, he did a better job.

Charlize played American psycho, Aileen Wuornos though tongue She played the part well, down to the accent.

The problem South Africans have with American actors telling South African stories, in particular, is their arrogance by not putting enough effort when portraying "African" characters, real or fiction. The accents are always irritatingly OFF. It ruins the moment. Leonardo DiCaprio put on a stellar performance portraying a South African in Blood Diamond & so did Ryan Phillippe in The Bang Bang Club. Their accents were spot on. The rest were wack. That's what we want to see, EFFORT or leave it to the Real Mccoys to tell their own stories with the dignity they deserve.

Oh I only know The American Psycho 2

That's the main problem. They can't hit the right inflections so these movies come of as quick money-making schemes for Americans.I remember watching Winnie and being irritated by Jennifer Hudson not knowing how to pronounce "amandla", she would say "amandza" instead...like how hard can that be? Lol

And yeah.Morgan Freeman also gave a decent performance in Invictus.

Last I checked they are in 2 different continents. There is no alliance just a similar language. Maybe it is the lasting image James Bond has left on the country.

David Oyelowo played an African American in red tails and he is British. If an actor from another country wants to act in America they will move to Hollywood and audition for roles like everyone else. This isn't rocket science, u can't get a role that you never auditioned for.
There's no alliance? Aren't white Americans descendants of British people?

Yes you can move there but what are the chances of being chosen over someone who grew up in the vicinity of Hollywood if you are an outsider?

You have comprehension issues i guess.

I stated facts and that makes me a lazy thinker.

If Madiba is that revered, why did it no occur to the black directors to adapt his life into a movie? Why wait for the white man to come and then when he wants to do it his way, SA was all ranting up and down asif its an entitlement.

And oh, i enjoyed Rhythm City very much until David Gennaro part began to bore me. But fact remain facts!!! Think harder pls.
Your an unrepentant blockhead lol

so just because we didn't decide to turn his life into a movie it means we must let an outsider tell the story? We didn't wait for anyone
We would prefer if the story remains untold if they could not find a South African that would make it authentic.

A great number of British actors and actresses have acted as Americans in American movies.
Given the great alliance between America and Britain,do you think what you just said nullifies the fact that Americans don't let outsiders play in American true story-based films?

Most of those British actors are casted in fictions anyway,so that doesn't count.Charlize Theron & Arnold Vosloo are South Africans who made it big in Hollywood but the question is doing you think they will be considered if a movie about Abraham Lincoln or Benjamin Franklin was to be made? HELL NO!!

Bollywood have been copycats of many superhero movies from DC and Marvel of late. Guess what its raking in hundreds of millions for them. They quickly adapted from their usual dance and sing. Did that erode their cultural values or identity? Not a bit.

See us all here. If we have a hostel of 35rooms and 20 peeps are with laptops, at least 18 of them will have 4 Bollywood movies. Can same be said for Nollywood in India? That's my point here. We should aim for the best and get it.

Sometimes ago, we heard Genevieve and Omotola's bill for a movie increased so they got sidelined.... Lemme not start with that.... Cos it would heat things up.

We just need rake im that money.

That if a trailer makes it to New York electronic billboards, 4secs should be enough to want passers-by to wana see it and hype it.

We still live Nollywoood pass SA, no doubt. Minus the white men influence on their movie industry and we have....

I don't like going down that road.

Learnt a Walk to Freedom was i itiated by a white man and when he brought this Empire Luscious Lyon and Jennifer Hudson to play Mandela and Winnie, the blacks in sA revolted...

But did they think of doing the movie before the white dude came? No!!!

Its a franchise and cash inflow is the deal.
NL is really full of lazy thinkers. It's actually heartbreaking to read what grown men & women type here sometimes grin

Firstly - Whether we thought of doing the movie before is not important. We want South African stories to be told by people who understand them the most, and who could that be if not South Africans themselves? .If you can't cast a South African then pack your Hollywood equipment and follow the sunset.

Secondly - Why are American stories off limits to non American actors yet they want their actors to touch our stories? give me a call when they finally allow a South African to play Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr.

Thethi kaka that one, in fact, voetsek!

All I'm getting from the rant is that, we should be kowtowing & bowing to THEM, to have the right to wear the African badge. It's not going to happen! We don't care if nobody "rates" us because we choose not to have our African identity defined by others or by the movies we watch etc. What a silly notion to begin with, that as an African you can only make your nod of approval on all things African & nothing else. Isn't that another form of mental slavery? Because only an unliberated mind would shackle themselves with such limiting beliefs, where you're not allowed free thought, to make personal choices based on preference than popular opinion & race.

Another thing I find interesting & rather hypocritical, Nigeria is the only place where you find things like, "UK used laptops etc", yet she wanna stand on the soapbox preaching about Africanism, when her own people see more value when things have been "used" or produced elsewhere. You cannot help but be amused by the blatant hypocrisy & faux "wokeness".
So beautifully put.

I don't know who placed them at the top of the food chain and made them the avant-guards in approving what parts of African cultures should be dumped down and what parts are to be kept.

I wonder at the Nigerians that watch SA movies.

I mistakenly watched one last week. What a borefest!

South Africans are some of the biggest self-hating negroes, they are only concerned with the approval of their white masters, that is why they brag with Oscars and grammy awards. I don't know why any African will want the approval of people that spit on them, if it is not some form of mental problem.

The entire African continent approves of Nollywood, that is the only approval black people need; the approval of their fellow blacks. That is why nobody rates SA in Africa, all they know how to do is kiss caucasian butts.
Watching a movie by mistake? that's a first..

The reason other Africans rate your voodoo scripts is because they either don't know better or they can relate to the witchcraft in your movies.Who the fùck in their right mind would enjoy scenes of people snatching unborn babies from pregnant women's stomach by magic?

We don't want your approval. We not even competing with you.
