What have black South Africans produced? What have they accomplished for their nation?

Their cricket team is dominated by South Asians and English Afrikaaners.

Their field hockey teams are dominated by Afrikaaners.

Their various multinational companies and industries are controlled by Whites.

Morgan tried, but his own was tolerable mainly because he had a bit of resemblance to Madiba, plus it appeared as if he'd done his part in studying the mannerisms of his subject etc. Overall, he did a better job.

The problem South Africans have with American actors telling South African stories, in particular, is their arrogance by not putting enough effort when portraying "African" characters, real or fiction. The accents are always irritatingly OFF. It ruins the moment. Leonardo DiCaprio put on a stellar performance portraying a South African in Blood Diamond & so did Ryan Phillippe in The Bang Bang Club. Their accents were spot on. The rest were wack. That's what we want to see, EFFORT or leave it to the Real Mccoys to tell their own stories with the dignity they deserve.

Last I checked they are in 2 different continents. There is no alliance just a similar language. Maybe it is the lasting image James Bond has left on the country.

David Oyelowo played an African American in red tails and he is British. If an actor from another country wants to act in America they will move to Hollywood and audition for roles like everyone else. This isn't rocket science, u can't get a role that you never auditioned for.

Bollywood have been copycats of many superhero movies from DC and Marvel of late. Guess what its raking in hundreds of millions for them. They quickly adapted from their usual dance and sing. Did that erode their cultural values or identity? Not a bit.


See us all here. If we have a hostel of 35rooms and 20 peeps are with laptops, at least 18 of them will have 4 Bollywood movies. Can same be said for Nollywood in India? That's my point here. We should aim for the best and get it.

All I'm getting from the rant is that, we should be kowtowing & bowing to THEM, to have the right to wear the African badge. It's not going to happen! We don't care if nobody "rates" us because we choose not to have our African identity defined by others or by the movies we watch etc. What a silly notion to begin with, that as an African you can only make your nod of approval on all things African & nothing else. Isn't that another form of mental slavery? Because only an unliberated mind would shackle themselves with such limiting beliefs, where you're not allowed free thought, to make personal choices based on preference than popular opinion & race.

Another thing I find interesting & rather hypocritical, Nigeria is the only place where you find things like, "UK used laptops etc", yet she wanna stand on the soapbox preaching about Africanism, when her own people see more value when things have been "used" or produced elsewhere. You cannot help but be amused by the blatant hypocrisy & faux "wokeness".

South Africans are some of the biggest self-hating negroes, they are only concerned with the approval of their white masters, that is why they brag with Oscars and grammy awards. I don't know why any African will want the approval of people that spit on them, if it is not some form of mental problem.

The entire African continent approves of Nollywood, that is the only approval black people need; the approval of their fellow blacks. That is why nobody rates SA in Africa, all they know how to do is kiss caucasian butts.
