@ Debosky,

U are myopic or u suffer Chronic Conjuctivitis
Only one of the four newbies featured so it had nuthing to do with the fantastic four.
United did not lose and will take the pole position after 6 games. . . . . . .
Wazza is injured but we got replacement in Tevez. He cannot be out for more than 4-6 weeks so no BIGGIE.

Ass+Anal, Chelski and the Scousers have all conceded goals but United remains the only team amongst the big 4 with a clean slate.
Chelsea face Reading in the midweek, we shall see where it goes.
Arsenal goes to Prague and Liverpool wont play in the mid-week,
By the time y'all come back, United would be on top and then its catch-up for all y'all again.

*********MICHAEL ESSIEN is also injured so Chelsea will STRUGGLE against Reading on wednesday.
They might come out with a draw and its ding-dong again.
I am loving it. 37 odd games to go.
Whoever feels Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool wld finish above Man United is a dreamer or just STUPID.
Bring it on.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:48pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ Banderas,

That aint true.
United lost to Arsenal, Drew Reading and lost some couple of points last season.
Its still 37 games to play so whats the fuss about?
United could go from here and do 6 WINS on the trot.

Why are y'all talking like Reading is a small team to beat.
Did Chelsea beat Reading at the Bridge last season?
How do u play a team with a 7-3-0 formation?
Blimey, United did all they could and it didnt pay off.
One of those games but its not the end of the chase.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:30pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ J-K,

Yes.
Harry Redknapp's pompey is next.
At least, Ferguson has to unleash TEVEZ now that Rooney is injured.
The strength(super-subs that can come in and change the course of a match) of this United team are all out there injured.
Solskjaer, JS Park, Gary Neville, Hargreaves, Anderson, Saha and Anderson.

United will defintely bounce back from this shizzy.
I am confident. Its a temporary set-back and i cant be bovvered.
It is what happens after 38 games that counts.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool cannot win the remaining 37 games.
That is as sure as hell. At one point they will drop points and we shall pick points.
TEVEZ, its time to start playing for United.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:04pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ Denex,

Thats ur own opinion.
The game was played with pace, skills and stealth.
No team could have done better than what United did given the circumstances.
It wasn't as if Reading outplayed United. They prevented United from scoring.
Matches like this happen every now and then so whats the fuss about?
There are still 37 games to go and the title is not decided with just 1 game. wink

Should the Premiership end today, Newcastle would be crowned the Title Champions so whats the stress?
I am very satisfied with Man Utd's gameplay. Attacking football at its very best.
Arsenal and Chelsea found goals because the opposition they faced wanted to have a go and WIN.
Reading never bovvered with scoring, let alone WIN.
The last time they went to the Bridge, they drew Chelsea 2-2 so 0-0 against Reading is not a bad result at all.
Lets see how Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool fare when they meet Reading in coming weeks.

UP UNITED.

@Razorr,
How does this stat prove Reading outplayed MAN UTD?
It was so obvious u didnt watch the match, You saw it on your battery-powered transistor radio.
Stop listening to PUB GISTS . . . .  grin grin grin

@ Ruudie,

Wazza won't be out for long.
He is a young lad(21 years) and at that age u fight off injuries faster than pensioners like Shevchenko and Ballack.
The worst that can happen is 2 months and we r lucky we got Tevez.
Where Rooney left off, Carlitos will start so i really don't see Rooney's injury a big deal.

What an interesting season??
TEVEZ, It's time to step in and make a difference.

@ Razorr,

Shut ur traps.
What has £60 mill spending gast to do with it?
How many of the new signings played for Man United? Just Nani.
Wait till Man Utd unveils the other ammos in their kitty.
Just because u conceded 2 goals in 45 mins u are here shouting like a possessed monkey.

@ Jejestix,

Remain a gunner.
I would remind u after matchday 20.
Its still early days and trust United to roar back.

The transfers don't even come into it yet.
3 out of the fantastic 4 summer signings were not even on the bench.
Just wait till the merchandises start playing before u start assessing.

@ J-K,

United were not complacent in the attack.
We played better today than we did against Fulham last season but it just didnt happen for the lads.
These kinda matches pop out every now and then.

Its simply called . . . . . . .ONE OF THOSE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
The thang is . . . Its not we didnt create the opportunities, Reading's keeper was just SUPERB.
Similar thang happened when we played Sunderland 2 seasons ago.
Waves after waves of attack but there was no goal to show for it.
U wont see United play this kinda math again until next year so dont panic.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:19pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ Doyin13,

We did enough to score 7 goals.
On the basis of United's game play, i am over-satisfied.
NANI was super-impressive as United outplayed Reading FC to a pulp.
When it comes down to the points basis  . . . . . then its frustrating.
If u compare the 3 games played today, Man utd was technically and tactically better than both Arsenal and Chelsea BUT couldn't get the deserved points.
The lads worked their socks off to get goals but it didn't just happen for them.
How many teams in the BIG 4 will beat Reading FC? Not too many so don't sweat it.

37 games to go. . . . . . . .  So all is well.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:09pm On Aug 12, 2007
Defensively, they were super.
Marcus Hanemann made some outstanding saves for Reading FC.
We all sit here and wow to Rooney, Drogba, Henry and Torres because they are strikers and we expect em to score.
We should start looking at the other side of the game: THE DEFENCE & GOAL-KEEPER.
Reading's defence stood tall and the Goalie made some subliminal saves.

It worked today but not too many teams would come to OT and pull that off the hat.
Coppell said he didnt want what happened to Fulham last year to happen to Reading so he has to play defensive.
Reading's manager was scared he might fight relegation if he comes here to WIN. How Ironic?
Chelsea WON because BIRMINGHAM wanted to WIN. READING FC got a POINT cos they DON'T have the ambition to WIN.
Bloody Hell, we should have drawn BIRMINGHAM or FULHAM in the 1st game.
In conclusion, United didn't disappoint . . . . the only thing is ROONEY could be out for weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:56pm On Aug 12, 2007
Newcastle leads the Prem Table.
Chelsea is 3rd, Arsenal is 4th and United is locking the 11th position.
This is funny. grin grin grin grin grin

Nice game plan from Reading but negative for football as a whole.
Nani, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Rooney all had their chances but wasted it.
20+ chances and no goal? Its a joke.
Ferguson made a nasty assumption that smaller teams have changed their mentality and they all want to win these days.
He was wrong. Reading FC came here to do one thing: STOP MAN UNITED and they succeeded. tongue tongue tongue tongue
The funniest shit is that a Reading player would win THE MAN OF THE MATCH.
This is how the FA promotes negative football latently. U see, Reading's goalkeeper just won the MOTM.
United should get their acts together and start winning.

You begin to question Fergie's wisdom.
Why leave Tevez and Anderson out of the squad?
These are players that could have changed the match if they were on the bench.
Rooney went out . . . . .Tevez should have walked in.

2 valuable points lost . . . . . . .I hope it doesnt haunt us at the end of the season.

UP UNITED.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:51pm On Aug 12, 2007
Of course.
They are doing 10-0-0.
United missed all the chances thrown at them.
A last minute free-kick.

Man Utd 0-0 Reading.

The Champions drop 2 points but its early days.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:28pm On Aug 12, 2007
This is becoming embarrassing.
Reading is playing this game the way they wanted.
They didnt come here to win or make a statement.
Reading is here to STOP UNITED.

Ohhhh Ma Days.
Kitson came on and he was red-carded after 37 seconds.
This is now a genuine excuse for Reading to play 7-2-0.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:20pm On Aug 12, 2007
Whats Ferguson on about?
Man Utd 88%-12% Reading on possession.

John O'shea is United's centre-forward.
Ohhhhh ma daysssss . . . . . . . O'shea almost scoring from a thru-pass.
This is hilarious.
Who would score the decisive goal?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:13pm On Aug 12, 2007
NANI is wowing everyone.
He is breathing fresh air into this match and Evra just missed a sitter.
Waves of countless attacks and its just frustrating that we r missing these chances.
NANI is a star.
O'shea to come in for Silvestre.
One turkey goes in anutha one goes out.

@ 9ja4eva,
You wont believe it.
The gunners have infected Man Utd with their ailments.
Reading did a wonderful job. Man to man marking, never seen anything like it.
Where's TEVIL and SAHA and NEVILLE when u need them?

The only hope is Reading will get tired.
Their tactics are energy-sapping. Designating players to do man to man marking is a huge ASK.
United should change the bar from the GROUND STATE into the EXCITED state.
Bring in NANI, he is made for thiis kind of match. Bwoy, that young lad is footciting.
Silvestre to go off . . . . . . Evra to play in the defence, Nani to slot in the left wing.
O'Shea can also replace Wes Brown.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:43pm On Aug 12, 2007
I think Ronaldo is just class.
The way he makes his opponents look like fools is awesome.
Does he put them under a spell? Gosh . . . . .  .He is the best player in the world.
Ferguson should come out with a more tactical plan in the 2nd half.
Reading wont budge. Unleash NANI and lets have a swell time.

HALF TIME . . . . . . . . . . Man Utd 0-0 Reading.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:34pm On Aug 12, 2007
Reading is proving a hard nut to crack.
One Mission: STOP UNITED.
They are not coming out to play.
8 players behind the ball all the time. They r so annoying.

United cannot even get a counter-attack because Reading aint attacking.
Its been waves after waves of United attack.
Evra has done very well but we need to score.
Ronaldo, Rooney and maybe Nani is the key to UNLOCK this game.

ROOONEYYYYYYYYYYYYY, Over the bar.
What a pass from Carrick?
Wazza is injured, Nooooooooooo.
Another metatarsal problem?
When wazza goes doen . . . . . . . he stays down.
This is Mourinho's curse on Man united.

Kooooooool, Wazza is back.
The guy wont leave without a fight.

9ja4eva:
How long is Saha still going to be out?
Louis Saha should bounce back by May 2008.
After the title must have been won.
Saha is a waste of space.
Rooney nearly scored with a HEADER. Damnnnnnnnnnn.
Guys . . . . .Score a goal and lets party.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:24pm On Aug 12, 2007
Its 20 minutes . . . . .
Reading is quite disciplined at the back.
Ohhhh Ma days . . . . . .Silvestre made a tackle and won the ball. It must be Christmas day. grin grin

Ronaldo is starting to feel like Superman.
How many players can u dribble to unleash a shot?
Ohhhhhhhhhh Ma days . . . . . . .  .Giggsy? He hit the fucking post with a ferocious volley.
Nice legwork from Ronaldo again.
He made a Reading defender sit on his ass with a bad leg-over and he found Giggs at the far post.
Nice job, boys.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:17pm On Aug 12, 2007
Reading huffin and puffing. . . . . .

Ronaldo and Rooney have created chances but Giggs cannot run again.
Good pressure from Reading but United is clearly the dominant force.
Wazza and Ronaldo are wowing the fans.
Ronaldo nearly scored now.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:13pm On Aug 12, 2007
Not a bad start at all.
Ronaldo is beginning to show why he was prefered to Drogba last season.
Some nice start work and Silvestre is beginning to act like a plonker. embarassed

Carrick has stepped up his game.
The Most improved Man Utd player so far.
Crisp passes from the English lad and popping into the box to slice shots.Well done dawg.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:04pm On Aug 12, 2007
Ferguson shags Silvestre's mum. No doubts.
Nani on the bench, Silvestre playing?
Is Pope Muslim?

Dayyyyyyum, Giggsy is losing his pace.
An audacious pass from Wazza and the wing wizard couldnt chase . . . .
ROOONEY, Noooooooooooooo
The keeper denies him . . . . . . What a pass from Carrick.
United is playing some attacking football remniscent of Eagles team of Tunisia 94.
Ma only worry is Silvestre.

Tevez looks like a proper RED DEVIL.
he is just chilling on the bench filling the atmosphere with awe.
What gives? Ronaldo looks sharp. Scholesy looks sleek.

Man Utd Vs Reading at OT.
What gives??
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 3:38pm On Aug 12, 2007
No problems, Somze.
I am just pissed right now.
United's bench is weak.
Only Nani looks formidableon the bench. Even Silvestre is starting, what bollocks?

Meanwhile, Mourinho should buy Birmingham player, Kapo
SWP won the Braclays player of the match and i think that was ludicrous.
Kapo should have clinched it.
Chelsea has 3 points . . . . . Thats lovely.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Jackal(m): 3:03pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ Somze,

DD(Drogba) looks rusty.
It is allowed though as he is just coming out of injury.
Lampard rating for this match is -2.
He kept giving the ball away and he is super-rusty.
Malouda, Kalou, A. Cole and Essien have produced a virtuoso performance today.

Drogba missed a 60-yard empty net.
Ooops, he's just being decked to the ground.(He now wears a bandage on his head).
Birmingham gave a good performance. They really worked Chelsea out.
Mikel Obi has to be the most composed player in England.
The lad is not governed by goal scoring . . . . . .he just loves assisting.

Cant wait to see the Champions(MAN UTD) do their thang.
No one plays United's brand of attacking football.
Scholesy, Wazza, Ronnie, Giggsy . . . . . . .Reading will be pulverised today.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Jackal(m): 2:35pm On Aug 12, 2007
@ Somze,

I think the new TV deal is largely responsible for this.
Imagine Sunderland spending almost £40 milla this summer.
The whole shebang is almost a level playing field and these little teams are buying good and fit players all over the place.
Dang it, the most expensive goalie in the Premiership is not in either CHELSEA, MAN UTD, LIVERPOOL OR ARSENAL.
Its in fucking SUNDERLAND.
