@ bami,
Vidic is a die-hard player.
He was among the famous four of Serb and Montenegro team b4 the world cup.
Maybe Fergie should get the remaining 3 players in that defence line cos all of em work as a complete unit.
Had he played against Arsenal he would have kept Adebayor mute all day long.
U gotta admire his passion and work-rate when wearing a United shirt.
Evra, Smith and Heinze also belong to that class of tooth and nail these days.
They will give anything for United.

@ Chxta,
England makes noise? Yea right.
The same way they hype their players is the same way they drag their names in the mud when they fail.
Go n read The Sun since England lost to Croatia and weigh the criticisms levelled against the team.
The praises and criticisms are at equilibrium so i can't be bothered about it.

Nigeria has never won the world cup and yet people make noise about the Super Eagles each time the team represents any competition.
The fact is every country makes noise about their achievements or WOULD BE achievements.
It only shows how strong the English press makes themselves heard all over the world.

Who doesn't hope to win the world cup.
Even Togo had hopes of winning the last world cup so its a global phenomenom.
U cannot compare how the English press would broadcast about themselves on the media to the way Nigerians or other less-priviledged countries will do.
You think the English are proud? Please try the Americans!!!!!!!!!!!

@ hustler,
I refuse to be drawn into arguments with someone whose IQ is less than mere 20.
Who the damn hell is Andrea Pirlo compared to David Beckham?
How do u begin to compare what Beckham has been doing for one and a half decade to what a spagghetti freak called Pirlo is doing now?
Is it that you can't see beyond your nose or u are just plain stupid?
I would go for the latter rather than the former because even a dog knows Beckham is class.
How many times has Pirlo scored from his own half?
Beckham's ball delivery won the UEFA champions league for Man Utd in 1999.
2 precise ball deliveries got to 2 goals in 90 + extra minutes.
Beckham's free-kicks are commercial ads everywhere and i am yet to see Pirlo's anywhere.

England is worthless because they lost to Croatia?
Only an slowpoke like u will utter such a blasphemy.
We can as well say France is useless for losing to Republic of Ireland and even Israel in the past.
Nigeria is also rubbish for losing to Angola and failing to qualify for the world cup-according to a scumbag like u.
Great teams all over the world have their bad patches so why won't England?
You are mentally unhealthy and this is OFFICIAL.

Maybe u need to go polish your football knowledge because its a sheer waste of time arguing with u.
I am pretty sure my dog knows more football than u if only it can speak.
U'd be better off discussing and analysing women gymanstics.
U are just a function of your brains so i aint surprised u spew bollocks.
Please try and be sober next time before u post again on this thread.

The best football match i have ever seen had to be:

Arsenal Vs Man Utd(FA cup S/final 1999)

It was the day Ryan Giggs scored the best goal ever scored by any football player in the whole wide world.
Giggs single-handedly turned football from a team game to an individual game.

@ Kitaun,
Did u see Ruud's goal last night?
How do u stop RVN from scoring?
He is the best goal poacher in the modern game.

Sports › Re: My Problem With English Press by Jackal(m): 8:57pm On Oct 23, 2006
@ hustler,
U spew bollocks sometimes, son.
David Beckham is world class and only an idiot would argue he isn't world-class,
Beckham's crosses and ball deliveries speak for itself and he is one of the very few players who can deliver 80-90 yard pass in the world today.

I agree the British press sometimes over-hype their players but u cannot overlook the fact that there are world class players in the English team.
If u want to base a country's quality on a tournament then u should consider yourself short-sighted.
Many great football nations did disappoint at the world cup.
Ronaldinho had a horrid tournament and so was Rooney and many other English players.

I can list over 40 quality players who could not find their feet at the world cup and does that make them over-hyped? Hell Nah.
Sh.it does happen sometimes and u cannot really place a finger on why things aint working out for teams.
England has got quality players and can demolish most teams on their day IF everyone remains fit.
Where were u when England pulverised the Argentines in November 2005?
Owen and Rooney were stupendous and their individual brilliance won the day for England.
Sports › Re: Between Obafemi Martins And Yakubu Aiyegbeni:who Is Better? by Jackal(m): 8:46pm On Oct 23, 2006
Obagoal and Yaks are the same thang.
Yak is slow like an armoured tank but has got a wonderful goal sense.
Martins is so fast that he sometimes run past the ball but his finishing needs more polish.
They kinda complement each other as what Yaks lack is what Obagoal has and vice versa.
On this note, its 50-50 btw the 2 strikers.
Sports › Re: My Problem With English Press by Jackal(m): 2:49pm On Oct 23, 2006
Hey Hey.
Don't hate on the Anglo-Saxons.
The English team sure has got some world-class players and they have every bragging right to think they are the best.
John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, Stevie Gerrard and David Beckham are world-class players.
Can u name any team in the world where the above-mentioned players will not fit?

Having said that, The British press makes and breaks.
They can make an ant feel like a lion BUT they can also make a lion feel like a maggot if care is not taken.
U can never doubt the powers of the pen in England solets just leave the issue as it is.
I believe Enlish team with a good manager are capable of winning the world cup.

What was your first reaction when Henry's goal was disallowed?
I was at Turnpike Lane in ma mate's( A BLOODY GOONER) house and he nearly threw his LCD screen out of the window in annoyance.
UEFA's match officials can be very dodgy sometimes.

Its understandable when they fail to notice a bad incident.
How do u justify a referee noticing what never happened?
Are referees going extra-terrestial and seeing things fans and cameras cannot?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 12:22pm On Oct 20, 2006
@ Justkunmi,

Man Utd faces Liverpool on Sunday and this is going to be another acid test for United.
I am very happy the bulk of the team is back with only JS Park and Silvestre still down and out for months.
United must beat Liverpool at home and winners of big matches like this always claim the Premiership.
Fergie stuttered against Arsenal and he should not allow it to happen this time around.

Gary Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic and Gabriel Heinze.(Evra will be too light-weight to contend with Crouch and Bellamy)
I will prefer Smithy playing in the middle of the pack and pairing with Scholesy with Ronaldo and Giggs running the wings.
Carrick and John O'Shea should take a breather.
I am yet to see Carrick make a decent tackle on any player although his passes are very precise and spot-on.
His big boy attitude worries me and he needs to get dirty as a midfield player.

United's attack without a doubt should be Rooney and Solskjaer.
Saha is another bug in United's software.
He wastes chances and he must do more to stamp his authority at OT.
One-on-one chances should be giving him goals easily and not just blasting balls like a mongolian idiot that he is.
United shlould nick all the points on Sunday and i hope Pompey will neutralise Chelski.
UP UNITED.

@ otolorin,
Dont waste ur energy on that soccer-illiterate called Ay.
He is a classic example of a guy speaking through his stinking ass.
How can any straight-thinking freak say a club can never go bankrupt because its an English club?
Maybe Leeds FC is a Nigerian club or a Togolese club.

Manchester United(The richest football club in the world) once faced Bankruptcy in 1902 so why can't Chelsea get struck by it?
If Roman leaves today, Chelsea will face bankruptcy because Chelsea FC cannot sustain on itself and pay the wages of players.
Whats the stadium capacity of Chelsea and how much revenue does the club generate on gate-tolls and merchandises.
How many times has Stamford Bridge hosted any international game to boost club's revenue.
They don't even host rugby games like Old Trafford and other notable pitches in England.

Lets see what will happen with Iriana's divorce suit with Roman Abrahamovic.
If that woman walks out with 5.5 billion pounds(i doubt it) then Roman is finished.
Chelsea might go down and then face bankruptcy.
If Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson and host of others can be bankrupt then be sure Bankruptcy respects no one.

Sports › Re: Mourinho Is An Ass by Jackal(m): 6:17pm On Oct 19, 2006
Speak against Mikel? No way.
He is too good to be spoken against.
The only Nigerian player that has got the potentials to rule the world in the near future.
The only place i wouldn't want Mikel to ever go is Arsenal.
Arsene will only use him to develop another French player just like Kanu was used/abused to develop Thierry Henry.
Henry would play for 85 mins and Kanu will play for 5 mins in those days.
TH was becoming more developed as a player and Kanu was rotting away and when Henry got fully developed as a top striker Kanu was disposed like a soiled sanitary pad.
So much for French solidarity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a matter of fact, Arsenal fans hate Jose the most.
Ashley Cole's meeting with Peter Kenyon and the Voyeurism statement is still not forgiven.
Cole's exodus to Chelsea has now worsened the case and Chelsea V Arsenal will be the most mouth-watering match in the league this season.
The language barrier is another factor as Jose gets quoted out of context all the time by hypocritical British press in order to undo him.
Lastly, Mourinho himself talks too much and he should allow his football to do the talking more often.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by Jackal(m): 4:08pm On Oct 19, 2006
@ Akola,

Don't bother yourself about who the fools are.
There's an old adage that says IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE.
Bearing that in mind, i want you to squash the enquiries.
U won't need it now.

@ Cabali.
Barca missed Samuel Etoo more than the way Chelsea missed Petr Cech.
What makes Barca's attack potent is the interchangability of the front 3.
Etoo, Ronaldinho and Messi can swap positions and cause extensive damage to opposing teams.
With Etoo's absence, Ronaldinho was permanently stuck on the left hand side where the Cannibal gave him a horrid time.
Gudjohnsen's left leg is useless so no one could take Dinho's place if he drifts away from the left.

Deco and Edmilson were the major culprits last night.
They did not track back whenever they gave the ball away ceaselessly and they also failed to supply the inch-perfect passes for the strikers.
Leo Messi was handful but there was no service all night from Deco , Edmilson and Xavi.
Sports › Re: Mourinho Is An Ass by Jackal(m): 3:50pm On Oct 19, 2006
@ Akola,

I dunno why this issue has been over-flogged.
U cannot compare the quick response services u will get in a village like Reading to London.
Reading to London is like Osogbo to Lagos.
I also understand Chelsea's doctor told the paramedics to wait as he was busy fixing a loose nut on Cech's head.
So who do u blame in such circumstances?

As per tha incident itself,
Hunt's momentum thrusted him further to hit Petr Cech's head.
The accident was NOT deliberate, i repeat, NOT DELIBERATE.
I have watched the clip over 1 million times and i am still NOT convinced Hunt meant to injure Petr Cech.

For Bleep sake, it was the 1st minute of the game so there was no incident that would have triggered Hunt to injure anyonei n the early stages of the match.
Reading and Chelsea have no rivalry history so it wasn't a beef match.
Can u tell me why Hunt would really wanna smash Cech's cranium?

I understand how Mourinho felt and every Manager in the Premiership would have blown his top too.
It should be noted that the way Jose reacts to incidents on the pitch is quite different from the way Wenger or Fergie will react.
Jose is passionate and one can tell by the way he celebrates Chelsea's goals or the way he reacts when he is disappointed.

A manager like Rafa is unbelievably passive.
U cannot tell from his reactions if his team is losing or winning. He keeps his composure all the time until the match is won.
So, managers are different from one another and we should not compare.
FA has ruled there will be no charges against Hunt so the case has been officially closed.
Mourinho should also stop the mentality of "EVERYONE IS AGAINST CHELSEA".
No one will risk the life of a player out of hatred towards Chelsea-that will be too GROSS.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 3:42pm On Oct 18, 2006
Another victory but NOT a vintage United performance.
I hate watching crappy goals and all the goals scored yesterday were crappy with the exception of Scholesy's goal.
I'd rather had seen the chances watsted turned to goals than seeing O Shea's effort and Richardson's fluke turn to goals.

Saha had to be the most UN-clinical striker in the Premiership.
Wazza's inch-perfect pass in the 1st minute saw Saha with only the goal-keeper to beat but he blasted the ball against the goalie like an amateur.
He had anutha chance again and he just struck the ball like an idiot without any intuitons of a good striker.

United needs to do more to challenge for the Premiership title.
I am sick and worried about Saha's composure in front of goal.
Liverpool will defintely be handful and Saha must get it right on sunday to give United 3 points.
He is not always sure 'bout what to do with the ball and indecison seems to be his greatest concern.

Hopefully, we shall have Giggsy, Ferdinand, Gary Neville and Gabby Heinze back on sunday.
Patrice Evra and Vidic have settled well and things are a bit bright in the defence department.
The midfield seems to be the problem with John O'Shea and Michael Carrick still struggling to impress.
I think the Gaffer should slot Smithy back to the midfield to throw in the tackles.
Carrick considers himself too big to tackle and his turkey-ish movements in the middle of the pack is grotesque.

Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs should be handful upfront with Saha and Solskjaer coming in as subs.
Saha definitely needs some rehabilitation courses to improve his finish.
Ferguson should deploy Rooney and Solskjaer on sunday as those two seems to have a good understanding.
UP UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets forget these mumbo jumbo stories.
Any manager would naturally blow his top after what happened to Petr Cech.
We all know Cech is one of the most important players in Chelsea and his absence on Wednesday is a bad omen for Mourinho.

Close sources from West London reveals Cech's condition is now stable.
Jose and other Chelsea players visited him at the hospital already but we don't know how soon Cech will get back on his feet.
Carlo has been discharged from the hospital since saturday and should be fit enough to man the posts against Barca.
I feel for Chelsea but its been proven that one needs a ton of luck to win UEFA matches. Chelsea is running out of luck already and i hope they can fight for a draw to stay tight in their group.

Its rather unfair to give Mourinho the stick for reacting this way.
Arsene Wenger would have thrown tantrums as well if faced with the same situation.
Alex Ferguson would have run to the Queen to make his claims if any of his important players had been axed the way Cech went down.
We all saw how Rafa Benitez almost cried when he lost Dirk Kuyt to injuries in the international games.
These players are acquired with hard-earned British Pounds.
No manager will smile watching his player face the surgeon's knife and staying out for months on the bench plus deteriorate and lose form for months.
Please, let Jose Mourinho be.
