MaxInDHouse:Lemme oblige you and repost those verses again. Maybe you're dyslexic. For He knows the secrets of the heart. 1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; Psalm 139:1-3 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 1 Kings 8:39 then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know, for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men, Acts 1:24 And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen What does Psalms mean by His understanding is infinite. What do you understand by the word 'infinite'? In 1st John, the verse stated Yahweh knows all things. It didn't say he knows only about his creations. Even the other Psalms says before you utter a word, Yahweh knows it all, from what you're about to say or do(everything). Your whole anatomy, the stars etc are all laid bare(as stated by the other verses). He even knows the secret of our hearts, said Psalms 44. In fact every of your actions is noted. In fact, in Isaiah, Yahweh himself(not any prophets) stated he knows the beginning of the world to the end. There is no limitations of his knowledge anywhere else. The only limitations comes from you and your gang. Its unfortunate its an atheist that should explain the bible to a theist like a JW. Yahweh must be shaking his head in bemusement. |
MaxInDHouse:Please read those bible passages I posted on Yahweh being omniscient. Thank you |
cornelboy:So if nothing can come out of nothing, where did Yahweh pop out from? ![]() |
cornelboy:Did you read any of the verses I posted from the bible? Or you just wanna be like Max who ignores other posts and spews whatever rubbish his brain tells him? |
blogginguncle1:Can you post the salient points here. Many people including myself don't like clickbaits |
cornelboy:So an omniscient god(who chooses when he would be omniscient) does not know that his creations would eventually be evil? Interesting ![]() |
johnw47:So you actually run when challenged? Interesting ![]() |
cornelboy:In other words, he's still omniscient but chooses when to be omniscient? Lol. Like I said, its truly hard being a theist but harder being a JW |
johnw47:Unlike you that spend your life visiting threads which you cannot engage in, I have an offline job. Thank you |
cornelboy:I thought your friend Max said its only churchgoers that derail threads. Please open your own thread on Trinidad and Tobago but face the topic on hand. Thank you |
johnw47:Ummm... Whats the difference between the small g and big g. Same thing if you ask me |
johnw47:And how exactly do you intend to 'kick this atheist bum'? By keeping quiet? ![]() |
johnw47:Ok, if say so |
cornelboy:In trying to avoid a pitfall, you ended up running into a dam. Can you explain what the bolded means? Doesn't it still point to an all knowing being? Besides, you carefully ignored the Bible passages which clearly depicted your god as all knowing. Being a JW is truly a hard business. Lol ![]() |
MaxInDHouse:Were you born a JW? |
MaxInDHouse:Your own is even worse. You talked rubbish anf ran off. His own issue is he's too cowardly but you're an ignorant megalomaniac |
MaxInDHouse:Everyone was born an atheist til someone starts telling lies… |
cornelboy:That's strange. I thought its only JWs that agree Yahweh isn't omniscient. Pray what's your denomination? By the way, here's passages Yahweh said he's omniscient… Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite. 1 John 3:20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. MaxInDHouse:When you can read and write, we can converse. Til then, go back to kindergarten |
preciousee17:Now someone with some brain has replied. Hallelujah! 1. Did you read anywhere in that passage that Balaam enquired anything from Yahweh? Nope. In fact, it was Yahweh that was doing the enquiries. 9 God came to balaam and asked, “Who are these men with you?” 10 balaam said to God, “Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent me this message: 11 ‘A people that has come out of Egypt covers the face of the land. Now come and put a curse on them for me. Perhaps then I will be able to fight them and drive them away.’” 12 But God said to balaam, “Do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed.” … and this 20 That night God came to balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.” On the first occasion he was asking Balaam who the men are and he(Balaam) explained to Yahweh. On the second occasion(when the men came back with more stuff), Yahweh told Balaam what to do, which he did. AT NO POINT DID BALAAM DISOBEY YAHWEH OR EVEN EXPRESS GREED. HE TOLD THEM AB INITIO THAT HE WONT CURSE ISRAEL. 2. How come an omniscient god doesn't know the future(he doesn't know who men were and he didn't even know that they were coming back) 3. How come he wanted to destroy Balaam for obeying him? |
MaxInDHouse:The problem is you know nothing. From making nonsense of an explanation for an event, to stating masturbators have mood swings. And in your twisted mind, you made sense. This decisions of grandeur is getting serious. You need a good psychiatrist to shrink your brain. I'm serious, no cap. Btw, my apology was for the long initial post which I tendered to everyone here, and not to your overbloated ego. You can twist it any way you like. I'm a humble person, not a grandiose nutjob like you |
MaxInDHouse:Lol. You really are a fruity job. These JWs did a number on your brain. Religion truly is dangerous. Reason why a whole group of people can follow someone to commit suicide, like Jim Jones etc. If you cannot read and comprehend a passage, then its not my problem. Someone gave you a passage about an event, you interpreted it with some nonsense that is completely irrelevant to the matter. |
MaxInDHouse:Lol. So Dr. Max where did you read that masturbators suffer mood swings? Or is it one of your Kingdom Hall medical classes that they taught you that? At least masturbation is better than child molestation(which you guys are specialist at), don't you think? By the way, you have been throwing insults my way since, I have been ignoring. I gave you a bit of your own medicine and you're foaming rubbish from your mouth |
MaxInDHouse:Again, read Numbers 22 and point out where Balaam disobeyed Yahweh's instructions. Leave what happened in Revelations, its not related to the Yahweh-Balaam interactions because Balaam did exactly what Yahweh wanted and nearly got killed for it. Please can someone with a brain explain this to Max |
MaxInDHouse:Max are you sure you don't have some loose screws upstairs? I’m seriously asking cos you don't sound coherent. This is beyond poor comprehension skills. NOW FOR THE LAST TIME, CAN YOU POINT OUT IN THIS BIBLE PASSAGE WHERE BALAAM DISOBEYED YAHWEH |
MaxInDHouse:Please can you point out where Balaam changed his strategy or even went against Yahweh? ![]() Thank you |
Lemme make it easy for you… 20 That night God came to balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.” balaam’s Donkey 21 balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. 22 But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. balaam beat it to get it back on the road. 32 The angel of the Lord asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.[a] 33 The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.” I have highlighted the challenging parts in case you have comprehension issues. Now read and explain what you can understand |
MaxInDHouse:With this response, I believe you haven't read that chapter, even though I posted it here. Please I beg, do read it, and then glance through my questions. Thank you |
MaxInDHouse:Okay. 1. Yahweh originally told balaam not to go with them, but changed his mind and told him to go with them when they sent more goodies. Is he getting bribed or what? 2. Now when balaam obeyed him and went with them, he sent an angel to kill him, even though poor balaam was adhering to his instructions 3. After threatening balaam that he would have killed him if not for the donkey, he still went ahead to tell him to continue on the journey 4. I don't want to talk about the talking donkey ( that's some hardcore Shrek moves ) that's for another day. |
I know JWs dont believe that Yahweh is omniscient, so strike off the first question. Leave it for the other theists. Thank you |
Numbers 22(part 2) 24 Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards, with walls on both sides. 25 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing balaam’s foot against it. So he beat the donkey again. 26 Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. 27 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it lay down under balaam, and he was angry and beat it with his staff. 28 Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” 29 balaam answered the donkey, “You have made a fool of me! If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now.” 30 The donkey said to balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?” “No,” he said. 31 Then the Lord opened balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown. 32 The angel of the Lord asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.[a] 33 The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.” 34 balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.” 35 The angel of the Lord said to balaam, “Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So balaam went with Balak’s officials. 36 When Balak heard that balaam was coming, he went out to meet him at the Moabite town on the Arnon border, at the edge of his territory. 37 Balak said to balaam, “Did I not send you an urgent summons? Why didn’t you come to me? Am I really not able to reward you?” 38 “Well, I have come to you now,” balaam replied. “But I can’t say whatever I please. I must speak only what God puts in my mouth.” 39 Then balaam went with Balak to Kiriath Huzoth. 40 Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and gave some to balaam and the officials who were with him. 41 The next morning Balak took balaam up to Bamoth Baal, and from there he could see the outskirts of the Israelite camp. Now, reading the above passage as a fresher should have one scratching his head. 1. An omniscient god was asking a mortal he created who the other mortals are. As an omniscient god, he would have told balaam that some officials would visit him in some days, and told him what he would tell them as reply. 2. Not only that, he originally told balaam not to go with them, but changed his mind and told him to go with them when they sent more goodies 3. Now when balaam obeyed him and went with them, he sent an angel to kill him, even though poor balaam was adhering to his instructions 4. After threatening balaam that he would have killed him if not for the donkey, he still went ahead to tell him to continue on the journey 5. I don't want to talk about the talking donkey ( that's some hardcore Shrek moves ) that's for another day. |
Numbers 22(part 1) 1 Then the Israelites traveled to the plains of Moab and camped along the Jordan across from Jericho. 2 Now Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, 3 and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites. 4 The Moabites said to the elders of Midian, “This horde is going to lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time, 5 sent messengers to summon balaam son of Beor, who was at Pethor, near the Euphrates River, in his native land. Balak said: “A people has come out of Egypt; they cover the face of the land and have settled next to me. 6 Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.” 7 The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to balaam, they told him what Balak had said. 8 “Spend the night here,” balaam said to them, “and I will report back to you with the answer the Lord gives me.” So the Moabite officials stayed with him. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed.” 13 The next morning balaam got up and said to Balak’s officials, “Go back to your own country, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you.” 14 So the Moabite officials returned to Balak and said, “balaam refused to come with us.” 15 Then Balak sent other officials, more numerous and more distinguished than the first. 16 They came to balaam and said: “This is what Balak son of Zippor says: Do not let anything keep you from coming to me, 17 because I will reward you handsomely and do whatever you say. Come and put a curse on these people for me.” 18 But balaam answered them, “Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God. 19 Now spend the night here so that I can find out what else the Lord will tell me.” 20 That night God came to balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.” balaam’s Donkey 21 balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. 22 But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. balaam beat it to get it back on the road. |
