FRANCISTOWN: I didn't just manufacture this from thin air. I read to this extent.
"In the 19s, a Professor at Duke University, Dr. Banks lead a research. And thru that research it was discovered that every human on earth has something called the 6th sense otherwise known as "extra sensory" mode of perception."
Well, that was according to a scientific research which was carried out by a group of researchers lead by Professor Banks of Duke University in the 19s , as reported and authored by E. Lt. Wright in Harpers Magazine.
I read about that some fifteen years ago.
You've not lead any research on the topic, so, I guess it's more appropriate to balance your views.
My explanation addressed the reason some dreams, prophecies and visions come to pass and how it has nothing to do with spiritualism or spiritism.
We can't deny that some predictions do come to pass(even in bettings such as lotto, and pool, etc). We should be able to explain that logically.
My final submission stated clearly that dreams, visions, clairvoyance and telepathy are mere predictions and should not be taken seriously by any serious person.
I even used Nostradamus, one of the fathers of predictions as a perfect example, so, I guess you didn't understand what I was trying to say or maybe I wasn't clear enough Some predictions do come through of course. If not, how would people win Naijabet. But they are predictions based on experiences and data from previous matches, leading to one to make a logical conclusion. And of course, they can fail since matches throw up unexpected results leading to loss of bets. Can you say your predictions are always correct? No. Can one base his or her betting on your predictions? No. That is how the law of averages work. You win some, you lose some. About the sixth sense research, it hasn't been scientifically proven. Its speculation and theory but wasn't proven. This is what I gathered from LiveScience, The new study, detailed Monday (Jan. 13) in the journal PLOS ONE, found that what people perceive as a sixth sense may simply be their vision systems detecting changes they can't articulate.
"People can sense things that they believe they cannot see," such as changes in a person's appearance, said study co-author Piers Howe, a vision scientist at the University of Melbourne in Australia. "But this isn't anything magical or a sixth sense; this can be explained in terms of known visual processing."https://www.livescience.com/42635-esp-sixth-sense-just-vision.html |

Dtruthspeaker: That is just bullshit. Your machines are only reading the physical responses going on in a person and that is all they are doing. It is only the person who can explain his experience. And ofcourse there are dreams and there are dreams. So what 'machines' are you using? And how do you calibrate and use them? |

FRANCISTOWN: This is what I honestly think about dream.
In the 19s, a Professor at Duke University, Dr. Banks did a research. And thru that research it was discovered that every human on earth has something called the 6th sense otherwise known as "extra sensory" mode of perception.
To be put simply, let's call it instinct.
The research resolved that this 6th sense is located somewhere at the centre of the human brain, but no one has been able to state exactly where it is, or what it is. Stay with me.
So basically what does this "extra sensory". It's responsible for clairvoyance and telepathy. That's why some people leave a certain place before bad things occur and when you ask them, they'll say they just felt like or their mind spoke to them.
Gamblers also use this 6th sense in card selection and in reading their opponents' mind.
However, just like some people have very sharp taste bud or very good eyesight. This sixth sense is also very active in some people as opposed to others.
Let's make this point 1. Its gut feeling, and gut feeling can be wrong too. Many times . Aint nothing like 'sixth sense'(its an psedoscientific term). The gamblers instinct also fails them woefully. And this has nothing to do with people with sharp taste buds also known as hypergustatory folks. In this case, their brains which is used for tasting processes tastes better. Same as people that have good vision |

Dtruthspeaker: Yet when they touch you for dream you jerk like person wet electricity shock. And for some dem dey throw blow for air as dem dey sleep.
Anyway, you be liar before so I no expect say your talk to dey completely True. It's all part of the dream complex. Some prefrontal cortex which controls those part of the dream assumes they are real and activate the corticospinal tracts. I have told you to stay away from scientific and philosophical discourses. You just don't have the mental capacities for them |
Christianity Etc › Re: Cluster Here Let's Discuss About Dreams by jaephoenix(m): 9:42pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
FRANCISTOWN: There is a branch of philosophy that supports something called "Hard Determinism", though several philosophers are against it.
That's basically "Cause and Effect".
Simply put, it means every event in this world must have had a cause. For instance, I'm in this thread because you mentioned me, you mentioned me because you crested a thread, you were able to create a thread because there is NL, there is NL because there is the internet.
Now when NL was hosted online several years ago, that "cause" already had this "effect"(me commenting on this thread) in it, that same year.
To every action there is a predetermined/expected effect.(Law of Natural consequences)
Let's make this point 2. Dreams occur from our brain. Its a connection of synapses between the prefrontal cortex, hypothalamus, hippocampus and probably the limbic system. They utilize our memory and conjur stuff. For example, you watched horror movies. Your prefrontal which handles memory with influence from other centers, serve up a horror themed dream which seemed real. Now if you're someone that don't believe that stuff that happen in horror movies are real(like me), watching such movies won't throw up horrible nightmares since my subconscious mind tells my cortex that they aren't real. And thus I dont have nightmares. My wife would watch the same horror flick and have nightmares. Dreams coming true sometimes may be a phenomenon known as deja vu. Also don't ignore chances of luck or coincidences happening |

see how you atheist dopes and false jw's have things in common:

johnw47: Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, "The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave. Gen 18:21 "I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know."
Gen 22:12 He said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
Jehovah of course knew that the sin against sodom and gomorrah was exceedingly grave, He said so before hand, and wanted to see first hand Himself before destroying them
Jehovah of course knew before hand that abraham was God fearing and would even sacrifice his son if Jehovah said to, Jehovah tested abraham to prove and strenghen his faith, it was for abraham's benefit not because Jehovah didn't know
but you false jw's believe Jehovah doesn't know things before hand, and you false jw don't believe Almighty Jehovah is all mighty etc. etc.
you so called Jehovah's witnesses are the great, Jehovah deniers imagine a so called Jehovah's witness teaching that Jehovah is not all knowing, is not all powerful, what followers of the devil you are:
Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, that is his natural way of speaking, for he is a liar and the father of lies. I thought u said you won't engage JWs or atheists? What happened? Now you have jumped in and yarned complete rubbish. So the trial of Abraham killing his son is for Abraham's benefit? How? Lol! |

MaxInDHouse: How many times do i have to quote Him?
OK i will do it again so as to show you your folly!
Then Jehovah said: “The outcry against Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah is indeed great, and their sin is very heavy. I will go down to see whether they are acting according to the outcry that has reached me. And if not, I can get to know it." Genesis 18:20-21
“Do not harm the boy, and do not do anything at all to him, for now I do know that you are God-fearing because you have not withheld your son, your only one, from me.” Genesis 22:12
Now use your brain to reason well if your Omni stuff fit in to the description of the one speaking in those verses! Lol. The joke's on you. If you read through my first post, I posted all these same verses you quoted, describing how the Buybull is contradictory. The same buybull said Yahweh is all knowing, didn't it? cornelboy: I don't have any problem with English. The problem is your trying hard to force your interpretation on the Bible.
Your ways can only include the present not the future that hasn't happened yet. Your ways could only affect the future. But you don't live in the future. Of course God could see your intentions at any time but he can't control them. Your intentions are clearly yours and decided by you.
If you think this is about English, please show me where English says someone's ways includes his future that hasn't happened yet. There are multiple examples where dictionaries and thesauruses interprete ways direction, future etc. But then your deluded buddy MadMax said its 'religionists' that wrote them, so they don't count |

MaxInDHouse: Of course it's the religionists who wrote most of those things you can continue denying it but everyone knows that atheism began gaining ground in less than 200 years ago so who are those that's been behind dictionaries before then if not the same misinformed churchgoers? Bro, your ignorance of everything around you sometimes make me think you actually love ignorance. Philosophical atheist thought began to appear in Europe and Asia in the sixth or fifth century BCE. Way before dictionaries were written. So they didn't start 200 years ago like your ignorant mind or Kingdom Hall pastors told you. Lets assume atheism started 200 years ago and theists wrote dictionaries, do you think they would insert their theist thoughts into it? Lemme give you an example(since your brain is sawdust). If I believe as a Christian that Yahweh created man would I put in the dictionary? Would I write that prayers answers all our problems? |

You say I dodged Balaam's Story because I didn't explain how Balaam disobeyed Yahweh.
Where is the Original Story? Bible? Where did the Original Source narrate the story as a story of Balaam disobeying Yahweh? Didn't I open the Original Source for you? Didn't you see greed?
So phrase yourself again. Did I dodge the original story or I dodged your false interpretation of what you wanted the story to be? Using this analogy, I can also say Cain shouldn't have been cursed by Yahweh. He should have waited for Jesus to die so his(Cain) sins would be washed away. Theist logic |
