Techobeys: By showing them something that is attractive but lead them away from their path. Destiny is just a path, it’s not tangible. You can either walk in a path or follow another way. That doesn’t mean the path was ever taken or gone.
With this post, its obvious you don't know what a destiny is. What is a destiny?
Techobeys: This is hilarious. I said yes, fornicators can have a good marriage, but you still claimed I supported your opinion.
How so? How did I support your opinion sir?
I never supported your opinion sir, maybe if you raised a better one I’ll but I can’t support this.
Fornicators can have a good marriage. No one is destined to have a bad or good marriage. People who never fornicated can have a bad marriage too so as people who fornicated can have good marriage. There’s no statistics or law forcing fornicators to have bad marriage, you’re only creating your own laws and your own truth sir.
I don’t support opinion that are not broad. Make a broad opinion that aligns with the will of God and don’t reduce the word of God to mundane frivolities.
Thank you, also kindly watch the video and share. I’ll appreciate your support.
Looks like this is the first time you have interfaced with DTruthSpeaker. That dude makes it a point of duty to negate his username and perpetually lie all the time
A spelling mistake committed just once and accidentally, which I would have corrected myself if I had seen it earlier, is now evidence of grammar inadequacies?
Go and check for the meaning of grammar inadequacies so you stop embarrassing yourself.
Most of what you post here is filled with grammar errors. Even this latest reply of yours contains blunders everywhere and you still want to brag. What's the meaning of "The only crack" . Do you take crack cocaine?
The mushroom secondary school you attended has done you great damage. I really pity you. You don't know what's is correct grammar and what's not.
Since you started posting on Nairaland you have been using the possessive pronoun ,its instead of , it's ,Mr "Grammar inadequacies" .
You should worry first about improving your own inadequacies and not wasting your time about others.
You put someone on the spot and not something on the spot. I highlighted that in that your gibberish post but you were blind to see the blunders .
How do you put something on the spot? A dunce who doesn't know the correct way to use an idiom. Go and employ a private English language because everyone of your post is very painful to read.
Don't hide behind it's "paining me" and think I would be moved by that.
And who bothers about spelling mistakes here on Nairaland when a serious conversation is going on. If not that you started the nonsense, who cares?
Maybe that's the only way you think you could force you points.
Continue to reply again with your very bad English. You're ignored.
Its grammatical inadequacies not grammar inadequacies
So that you should stop embarrassing yourself and not so you should stop embarrassing yourself
posts here are filled with grammatical errors and not post here is filled with grammar errors
Yes, I can use crack in that context of abstracts like atheism. Crack can mean a deficiency or inadequacy.
You don't know what's is is wrong. You don't know what's is correct. The is is redundant. (Hope you know what it is)
The possessive pronoun ish is intentional. It's an autocorrect that's stuck with my keyboard app which, in time, I learnt to ignore. Thanks for pointing it out. I have to actively 'impinge' on that app.
Continue to reply again with your very bad English is wrong. Continue to reply again with your very bad grammar is correct.
See, its not that hard to learn English. But you were smoking weed when all the learning were going on. Your parents need to take their refund from that hinterland secondary school. Hope you attended a higher institution to improve yourself, bro.
Even though this is related, the post of today starts with the Quranic verse.
Qur'an 3:144 Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him. Will it be that, when he dieth or is slain, ye will turn back on your heels? He who turneth back on his heels doth no hurt to Allah, and Allah will reward the thankful.
In Summary: 1. Mohammed is a Messangers 2. Other Messangers before Mohammed had died (in context to the next sentence) 3. Therefore, IF after the death of Mohammed his followers left Islam it doesn't do Allah any harm BUT those who remain faithful in gratitude, Allah will reward.
The issue today is NOT to argue whether Jesus is an exception or not but another interesting observation in the hadith below
Sahih al-Bukhari 7427, 7428 Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "vThe people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection, then suddenly I will see Moses holding one of the pillars of the Throne." Abu Huraira said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be the first person to be resurrected and will see Moses holding the Throne."
This is also supported by Saheeh al-Jaami' as-Sagheer: No. 2570 and 2373,
Summary: On the day of Resurrection, Mohammed would be the FIRST to be Resurrected!
The Question is: Before the day of Resurrection, where are ALL those who died on earth?
Mohammed, gave us the answer:
1. The Martyred: “And say not of those who are martyred in the way of Allah, “they are dead”, nay, they are living, though you perceive it not” (Surah al-Baqarah, 154). 2. The Prophets Anas ibn Malik narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “The Prophets are alive in their graves performing Salat” (Recorded by al-Bayhaqi in his Hayat al-Anbiya’ and Abu Ya’la in his Musnad).
Mohammed confirmed that he also will be in the grave Aws ibn Aws narrates the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) as saying: “Send salutations in abundance on me on Friday, as your sending salutations are presented to me.” The Companions inquired: “How is it possible that you receive our salutations when your body will have been decayed?” The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Verily Allah has made forbidden on the earth that it eats the bodies of the Prophets” (Recorded by Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Darami and others, and authenticated by many, such as Ibn al-Qayyim).
3. For Others (non prophets nor martyr) After some time in your grave, you are then visited by two angels, known as Munkar and Nakir. They are assigned to test the faith of those dead within their graves. When they arrive, they sit you up in your grave and ask you the following: “Who is your Lord? Who is your Prophet? And what is your faith?”. The result of your examination will determine if the grave will be comfortable or harsh for the person.
Summary: All those who died on earth whether Martyr, Prophet or Anyone else are CONSCIOUS in their GRAVE
Finally: Mohammed while ALIVE was taken by Jubril to Paradise and the seven Heavens in a night Journey . Isra Miraj is one of the most notable events in the religious history of Islam. I won't want to bore you with the ELABORATE IMAGINATIVE story .
1. Mohammed was taken by Jubril on one of the animals of heaven called Buraq to “the farthest mosque” Masjid al-Aqsa, in Jerusalem. The Buraq is one of the animals of paradise and is described as “a white creature that is larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place its hoof (step) a distance equal to the range of his vision." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) 2. After this Mohammed was taken to the seven Heavens where he met (at different tares) the old prophets starting with Adam and then John the Baptist with Jesus and then Joseph, Aaron, Moses and Abraham (in the seventh heaven). 3. Then Mohammed was permitted to go above the seventh heaven . When he finally reached the highest level in the heavens, he was brought into the Divine Presence of the Almighty Allah s.w.t, alone at Sidratul Muntaha (a boundary beyond which none may pass). It is said to be the boundary that has never been passed by anyone except by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Here, Rasulullah s.a.w. was given the Divine Decree for the believers to establish 50 daily prayers......and later reduced to 5 after he had consulted several times with Moses
The Discussion Questions are in Page 1:
Thank you!
This is very rich coming from a Christian who wholeheartedly believes Cain built a whole city alone, donkeys and snakes talk, sun stood still, a dude lived in a fish for days, a virgin got preggies etc. Aint it funny
AjalaJ: Let me confess that I like Okro (Okra) soup. Apart from that it has great nutritional value.
However, some people hate it, claiming religious and health grounds. For example, some say they experience some discomfort in their stomach after they eat it. Some religious organizations also believe that eating okro can have adverse effects on one’s destiny.
Are these assumption true? Is it true that Okro soup can destroy your destiny?
Perfect Money/Payeer/Epay/Neteller/Skrill: Itu Global
Yes, it is spiritual. The okro draws you back and your destiny is drawn backwards, making you to lose your star. Stay away from okro and ogbono
‘But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”’ Luke 13:12
The Bible says: ‘There was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity”’ (Luke 13:11-12 NKJV). Notice four things in this story: the person, the problem, the Great Physician, and the prescription. For every person, including you, there will be a problem. But more importantly, for every problem, including yours, the Great Physician has a prescription. Jesus’ opening statement to the problem in this woman’s life is not a recommendation for counselling; it’s a challenging command: ‘You are loosed!’ Christian counsellors are a gift from God, but often more is involved in maintaining deliverance than just discussing past trauma. Jesus didn’t counsel what should have been commanded. After you have analysed the condition and understood its origin, it will take the authority of God’s Word to put the past under your feet! This woman was suffering as the result of something that had attacked her eighteen years earlier, yet her trauma was as fresh that day as it was the day it occurred. But while her problem was rooted in the past, her prescription could only be found in the present word from God. Jesus, who is the Living Word, is ‘the same yesterday, today, and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV). That is to say, the word you are hearing today is able to heal your yesterday! Jesus said, ‘Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.’ Why didn’t Jesus call her by name? Because His promise applies to all of us.
triplechoice: With the above, it's about time you employed a private English language teacher.
Today is Saturday,my day of rest.
I shall be following your comments bumper to bumper in any thread on this board to highlight your poor grammar. I will put "all of your attributes to test" even "your existence" I hope you don't "take any of them as given"
Your atheistic position would be put " on the spot" to see if you're "mentally strong to handle disappoinment"
I love this. Thanks for the correction. Appreciate. That one was actually an error, not a auto-correct like you claim, to hide your grammatical inadequacies. Actually, I put atheism to the test several times. The only crack was Pascal's Wager
triplechoice: It's not about thinking too much of one's self, but that you're slow , petty and childish.
If I had made that same mistake in the past then you have a case. I have used that same expression before. This is not the first time.
Because you lack common sense ,you want to use one instance to compare me to your patients who obviously speak directly to you and not typing from a phone that has auto correct which can lead to this kind of thing .
I usually notice the same in the comments of others here and don't see it as anything. As long I understand the person,no problem. I always try to edit my comments before and after posting. If not that I was immediately taken by another activity I would have noticed that and corrected it because I certainly know the difference between the noun ,knee and the verb ,kneel.
But what about you? A very dark pot.
Here below are some of your comments replete with grammatical blunders and spelling mistakes.
1. Poor grammar. Difficult to read you as you struggle most times to get your thoughts out. 2. Punctuation. Poor 3. Use of the wrong tense in the subjunctive mood. 4.. You don't know the difference between ,its and it's . 5. Using a transitive verb without a direct object. And others too. Chai! Na this olodo wan correct person? I don see sometin for Nairaland.
Its instead of it's.
Spelling mistake. Poor expression.
Another error in the above. I bet you cannot spot it yourself.
And again, using its Instead of it's. This cannot be typing mistake. You don't know the difference.
Finally, ladies and gentlemen, Nairaland English language teacher using its Instead of it's everywhere in the above. How many can you spot.
If you make a mistake once ,you could be forgiven. But when you keep repeating it, then something is wrong. And you want to correct others? Take your medications first
Other errors too. Who can spot those?
I don't want to be caught doing this kind of thing, but to put you where you belong, I just have to.
I hope you rest now and know you're among the nonentities in Nigeria whenever you scream, "what is wrong with the water in Nigeria" You don't know but you think you know. People like you are a problem in any society.
An atheist who doesn't know the difference between superstitious belief and fact.
Predetermined by flying spaghetti monster.
Lol. This thing really pain this guy Unto say I correct you, you cum dey para like dis. Thanks for the correction though, but if you can actually read English, I boldly stated that I'm not immune to grammatical mistakes, but your tears in your eyes couldn’t allow you to see it. And please where did I make the blunder of confusing superstition and facts?
Just to reiterate what jaephoenix said, there is no singular book or books for atheism. I didn't even read any atheist written book until much latter and it wasn't even about atheism. LoLz. Just open you mind to the depth and breath of knowledge available especially on the internet and learn to think critically. Don't be afraid to look into any subject but always come at it with a skeptical mind so that you don't get sucked into pitfalls of dogmatic thinking. For me it has been an interesting journey and I hope yours is too.
Yeah, atheism makes you take everything around you with skepticism, even your existence. I put all of my attributes into test. I put them on the spot and critically examined them bereft of bias. I put my paternity(whether my father was my biological father), my profession(whether my prescriptions were actually legit and made patients better ie if medical science was true or just trash being paraded via conspiracies) etc. They all checked out. I didn't take any of them as a given. I put my religion on the spot and it failed time after time. At first i was sad, but one has to be mentally strong to handle disappointment
Techobeys: What I’m saying is if destiny was ever taken then it wont be with you, but you always have your destiny so it’s never taken. It’s always with you, you’re the one who refuse to walk in it. The enemy only distracts you from walking in your destiny but he can’t take it.
triplechoice: It's very important because your predominant thoughts which are embedded strongly in your unconscious mind (subconscious) creates your personal reality which then greatly influences the things you say and do.
Unfortunately, most people are only concern with external actions and not fully conscious of how behaviour is controlled from the inside . It's for this reason, they erroneously believe their destiny is set by external circumstances beyond their control.
There's a more detailed explanation in modern cognitive science of how the human brain stores information to control behaviour. Everything is not known yet but at least, the knowledge they have provided at this time, is invaluable for anyone to make use of .
I expected someone like you who claim to be a medical doctor, and a self acclaimed expert scientist who know everything, to have this kind information, but it's obvious you don't. You're not current at all.
And the worst part, is that, without realising it, you have been arguing blindly like a religious fanatic and superstitious person each time you insist destiny is predetermined and cannot change. Just like an ignorant theist who thinks scientific theory means belief or speculation not backed by fact because that's how a dictionary has made him understand it.
If you say destiny is predetermined and cannot change, then the question you should ask yourself is, who, what has set the events that must play out in the future?
Is it your personal god or a flying spaghetti monster?
Are you really thinking of the things you type before you hit the submit button?
Do you even understand the actual reality behind the words you have been using all along to discuss the op?
You don't really understand what destiny means because you don't know how dictionaries compilers do their work and think that every dictionary entry of a word has a description that's enough to make you fully understand it all.
It's very obvious from your comments here that your understanding of destiny is still influenced by what you were taught in Christianity before you became an atheist.
An atheist who believes in predestination? I never seen this before. You're confused.
You need to wean yourself of your past Christian indoctrination before discussing this any further.
If you like focus on finding spellings mistakes in my reply and not the meat of the matter.
I will come back shortly to fully address your pettiness and craziness concerning the mountain you want to make out of a mistake which has happened to everyone here and most especially you. You very much guilty of the same thing . Yours is even worse.
I thought I was engaged in a conversation with an adult . SHM.
You think you can throw snaky comments and veiled insults at me and get away with it?
I will tell you why you need more of the medications you give to the mad people you claim consult you all the time as it appears they have infected you with their insanity.
How does my thoughts creates 'personal reality'? Explain.
Like I said, one's destiny is predetermined. Its not something you control. If you know what pre-determined mean you won't be saying this. Which information am I supposed to know? We all know the prefrontal cortex controls behavior and the link with the Limbic System gives it inputs on emotions. Thus your behavior may be controlled by anger, fear etc. But again, all these have no association with destiny. Destiny isn't controlled by any being. If you think there is, then you give the name and proof. You know the drill. If you i am using my theist knowledge to define destiny, then I'll say everyone has a destiny which the devil, demons, bad folks etc, try to steal, and make me miserable. Of course I don't take such views. Atheism is a tag. I don't know what the others think. Everything we think has to follow a logical path. And logic says destiny is predetermined. And one last. I never say I don't make spelling errors. But once I'm corrected, I take it as a lesson, and thank the person correcting me. Simple. In your case, your arrogance was still disturbing you
gohf: you believe they are without proof yet you refuse to believe God 😏😏😏
How is one supposed to prove his Christianity? Is there a Christian-o-meter? We just believe they said so, same way we believe you are. Though we can't say for sure, since there are no meters. About the belief in god, there is no verifiable evidence of his existence. Do you see the difference between the 2 notions?
LottiOk: I really admire the energy, time & patience you have in schooling these psychotic patients of yabaleft on the loose here on NL religious section. Your replies are always logical & straight foward for that anyone including the fruitcake you address can't dispute without sounding more foolish. And even lacing it with sarcasm always makes me not want to miss any of them. Look Jaephonix you,Lordreed, hopefullandlors,Maymann, knownunknown & any other atheists here are my hero's & deserve national awards for how you school the demented fruitcakes here. Infact I wish I could order a full trailer load of chilled hienken with goat meat peppersoup for you guys. I've learnt so much from you guys ever since I stumbled upon NL religious section in 2020. You guys helped me come out from the closer as an Atheist & av never regreted taken such bold step despite d backlash I've faced & still facing. I must admit I'm not as learned or enlightened as you guys are but soon I'll try & contact you guys personally to share more books & knowledge with me. You guys make me so proud to be an Atheist & I wish you guys more success in all your endeavours + more grease to your elbows as you school these cretards that know deep down within them you are making sense but the cognitive disonace they suffer from won't let them admit they are wrong.
Keep up the good work guys & continue to Pepper them with logical reasoning.
Dude thanks, but there's no book for atheism, unfortunately . Just use your 'god-given' brain and process through the loads of information available to you
Corrections: Christians are happy people who are always thankful (grateful ) to God. Scientific evidence suggests that being happy has major benefits for your health. A vast scientific literature has detailed how negative emotions harm the body. Serious, sustained stress or fear can alter biological systems in a way that, over time, adds up to “wear and tear” and, eventually, illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Chronic anger and anxiety can disrupt cardiac function by changing the heart’s electrical stability, hastening atherosclerosis, and increasing systemic inflammation.
God's words are always green and they can never fade away from one generation to another. God's Word is like water that falls to the ground, it will surely accomplish its task (softening the ground ) before returning to where it came from ( the atmosphere).
Matt. 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” It is also found in Isaiah 40:8
Therefore, all of God's words are not ordinary, they have a task or purpose to perform in a man's life. Those who listen to them will live.
John 5:25 “And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice—the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.
Now, the Bible, which contains the word of God, says in the book of 1thessalonians 5:18 ''it says that we should thank God always.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT “In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ”
It is now clearer that the reason why God is giving this command is for our own good. It is evident that sickness has easy access into a man's life that is full of hopelessness. Hopelessness is a feeling or state of despair; lack of hope ( you can not help yourself and nobody can help you ). When you give thanks to God for your challenges, you are simply saying there is hope for you. You are simply saying that there is a supreme being ( God ) who is stronger than you and your challenge and can therefore help you where you can not help yourself. When you have this reality of hope, you become happy emotionally and hopeful. The good news is that when you are happy and hopeful, God through the power of his word, heals your wound and fortifies your body against sickness.
Romans 15:13 I pray that God, who gives hope, will bless you with complete happiness and peace because of your faith. And may the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.
The mission of the devil is to steal, destroy and kill. The devil steals from people. What the Devil can not steal, it simply kills it, and what it can not kill then it destroys. The devil achieves this easily by fighting your ability to be thankful to God ( appreciative ) thereby creating a scenario where it is all about yourself fighting the Devil alone ( a battle you can not win ). The Devil fights and over powers you to a point that you can not help yourself, let alone anybody helping you ( become hopeless ).
It is therefore, very important for the Children of God through our Lord Jesus Christ or Christians to always express their gratitude to God for all He has done, He is doing and will still do. When we do this, we acknowledge that God is our hope, because God is stronger than us and our adversary, the Devil. This enables God to give us hope and happiness, which in return heal our wounds and fortify us against sickness.
Give us groundnut to be eating while listening to your bullshit. Where did you even pick this up?
PointZerom: Oyedepo never ask them to kneel down or walk on their kneels but they chose to do so for the respect they have for him.
Even to the extent of walking on their knees? Why didn’t he command them to stop it. Or better still tell his orderlies and security details to order anybody kneeling down out. Its because he enjoys it. Stop defending him
Thanksful: Your ignorance is monumental at the same time amusing
You are too ignorant to survive. You haven't dropped any shred of fact since you jumped into this argument. Just spouting abuses, as if it wins arguments, instead of facts
