Is this match 6pm or 7pm? Saw 7pm elsewhere. |
The same Spurs snatched Mousa Coulibaly of CIV after scoring 9 goals in a recent Under-17 world cup edition, but he ended up not making their team and never made it to the top. |
Emyben:Geology. |
Eruditor:I don't get it. For which office? |
kaboninc:It's not a mistake. No one expects Ibe to continue to be NNPC GMD. A new GMD for NNPC will surely be named in a matter of days. |
pazienza:NNPC is one of the many agencies under Ministry of Petroleum. What this means is that, he now not only controls NNPC, he will also be controlling DPR and other agencies. |
Fiirst, there are very few cases of comebacks from a CGPA as low as 3.39 (and even an expectly worse second semester). Most first class grads have a track record from lower levels of education. I'm aware of comebacks, but not as low as a 2.2 grade. For example, the best student in my class in the university started with a CGPA of 4.4 or so, and came back to overtake all of us early flyers and ended with a CGPA of 4.77 when we graduated. That said, I don't think it's impossible. In fact, I have heard, but not sure how true, case of someone that was even in probation (less than 1.0) after first semester year 1, but still ended up with first class grade. Mathematically, it is very possible, probably easy, given that you're doing a 5 year course. Here is my practical advice: Get a list of all the courses you will do from year 1 to year 5. Punch them on excel or write them in a notebook, semester by semester, and put the corresponding units. Put actuals for the first semester years that you already have. Simulate what you need to score in each semester to rise to and stay above 4.50. Roughly, if you do eight 3-unit courses per semester, you will need not worse than A in 6 and B in 2, every semester to stand a chance. That's the minimum, by my roguh calculation, which appears to be a tough one. Although I didn't start from a bad result, but I used this approach (writing down all courses from year 1 to 4 and setting target) and it was helpful. I actually wrote down all what I wanted to score from year 1 to year 4, after first semester year 1. I surpassed my target. The articles here can also be helpful http://www.jarushub.com/how-to-make-first-class-degree-in-the-university/ |
Kai, The Economist has got punches. These guys sabi write. Too good. I can't forget their Jonathan vs Buhari" pre-election article with the punchline, "We're happy we don't have a vote in this election, but if we had, we would have preferred an ex-dictator.." And that toothpick mockery of Emefiele. Kai, The Economist has got punches. I need to read them more to improve my writing skills (punchlines in particular). When you read this kind of articles, you will not want to read Nigerian newspapers/magazines again. |
MIPNIG:I wanted to do a comprehensive response to this, but seeing your "Jega Dubai retreat" part, I realised it was going to be a waste of my time. I don't engage people who believe basic fabrications and beer parlour tales. |
yinkeys:Yes, sure. And Ifeuko Omoigui (FIRS). I only let the guy know that the northerners I listed were not appointed by Buhari. |
Bobbystanley:With due respect, the best appointed public servants Nigeria has had since 1999 have been majorly northerners. - Jega (INEC) - El-Rufai (FCT) - Sanusi (CBN) - Ribadu (EFCC) |

AdaNri1:Ever heard of Aliyu Jelani? |
So sad. I served in Sokoto too. I have never liked night journey. Allah's will will surely happen, but if I was the father, I would not have allowed her to continue Kaduna-Sokoto journey by 11:30pm. I can never allow anyone I have control over to do night travel. We lost a close friend, Lukmon Busari to accident too during my NYSC in Sokoto. He was also a key guy in NYSC Press club, also studied at MAPOLY, also a mass communication guy. |
denkyw:If Nigeria wins, you can pack to Togo. |
Kimoni:Tell him you met Jarus online. Sure I didn't expect you to give your name here. I mentioned mine because many folks here already knew. Btw, I may know you - at least your name. I know like 70% of ANAP boys in the early days of IBTC. Most of them have old-school approach to social media participation, so the only surprise is seeing an ex-ANAP boy here. |
BoiGrammz:I don't know what pib means. In any case, earning is not dependent on course. Focus on making good grade and understanding what you're being taught, for now. |
Kimoni:Yes to all your questions. My name is Suraj Oyewale. |
This should be award for "match of the man". |
femi4:Na wa o |
fabulous01:Will NTA International (the one on DSTV) show this? |
48noble:So how does someone's hypocrisy invalidate whatthe guy said? |
StealthyMe:Exactly. I'm not usually excited about the prospects of our players based on performance at this stage. Tens of them shone at this stage, only to fizzle away later. |
CrazyMan:Nobody. |

I trust Seun will not go to receive the award. Wetin concern Seun with all these. Even invitation to Aso Rock when he was listed among Nigeria's Finest 100 Youths in 2013 or so, he didn't go. |
modath:You're correct. Maybe I should say public sector pedigree. All the guys on their list have proven their mettle in public sector, and Ibe Kachikwu's short stay in NNPC. I also sense some (BBC) UK bias in their citation of Kemi. |
modath:This is BBC analysing, not a Nairaland list-maker. This is based on pedigree not how well they spoke at MPs screening. |
He was a second and third republic politician in the old Kwara state, before he later became Emir of his native Borgu (now Niger state). He was the one that conferred on Bola Tinubu (his friend from third republic senate) the title of Jagaban Borgu. |
