Great analysis there, Syenite! We should be thankful to him as Nigeria is the better for it. If Joel Obi and co also agree to feature for the junior teams, our team should be world beaters!
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana (3 - 1) On Saturday 25th June @ 4pm (All Africa Games 2011 Qualifier) by Jarus(m): 7:24am On Jun 25, 2011
I have been on Ghanaian forum, Ghanaweb, discussing this match since yesterday. Nigeria should not underrate that Ghanaian team. Most of the guys were those that won the under 20 world cup a couple of years back, and already in national team. They also play in good clubs in Europe. So it will be a tough nut for the Dream team. Their biggest player, Dede Ayew, Marseille player of the season is however out of this encounter, but the likes of Adiyiah, and Ayew's younger brothers are equally dangerous.

I expect Nigeria to carry the day, that said.

PS: I thought this match is Sunday and Ahmed Musa is also out on club duty?

Sports › Lukmon Haruna Joins Dynamo Kiev by Jarus(op): 12:23pm On Jun 24, 2011
Nigeria midfielder Lukman Haruna has signed for Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev, completing a US$2.8 million move from French club AS Monaco.

He joined Monaco in 2007 shortly after he captained Nigeria to the Under-17 World Cup title in South Korea.

The 21-year-old was part of the Super Eagles squad at last year's World Cup in South Africa and played against Argentina and Greece.

Monaco were relegated from the French first division this season.

There was also interest from clubs in England and France but none would match Monaco's asking price.

None. Irrespective of what they might have done, I think I'm today better for it today. None deserves a punishment from me, regardless of the evil they might ahve done to me.

ItsModella:
Mine has to be with Arik Air from Lagos to Benin City in April, 2009. That was the first and last time I flew with them. My flight was scheduled to depart Lagos at 3.30pm. By 5.45pm, we hadn't even boarded the plane. We eventually boarded the plane at 6.15pm (almost 3 hours after the originally scheduled time) after some Igbo lady screamed about how she'd been waiting since 2pm and had an appointment in 45mins. The plane was tiny (not small, TINY) and looked like a molue both in and out. Just when I thought the worst had ended, it was just beginning for me. As the plane gained altitude, I lost my hearing. My ears were hurting badly. I had flown more than a thousand times prior to that but that was the first time my ears were in such a bad shape. I was at the point of crying. It took almost 6 hours after I got off that flight for my ears to return to normalcy. To say I was displeased is an oversimplification. Man, after that experience, I just remained with the Aero Contractors I was and still used to.
This must be the Arik plane I flew Lagos-Ilorin sometime late 2009!!! I was even joking with someone in teh aircraft that, is this an aeroplane or okada, given the noise?

Started reading him in the 90s, For some reason, I think he writes kinda child-like.

I used to like him, but I now find him too verbose and his writings are replete with mistakes unbefitting of the Chairman, Editorial Board, The Guardian Newspapers.

Did you see Banky's reply to his vitriol. Banky seems to have done way better than him in passing his message across. It looks as if Banky was actually schooling him. I felt bad for him. One guy I like is Dele Olojede.
I read that Banky's response to one of Abati's articles. It was crap abeg!!!

Meanwhile, I believe Reuben Abati is overrated.

Buhari, the only Nigerian that can singlehandedly form a party, get 12m votes within one year, rattle a party that had been existing for more than a decade, a party having billions,a ruling party with incumbency factor etc.
