Yes, it's confirmed. And it's authoritative. |
jayJR:See this one. So I am the cause of the problem of Nigeria because I said I was immuned from this fuel problem, due to a petrol attendant's foresightedness. Am I lastma or nupeng or tanker driver? Na wa for u o. Anyway, the question says how did u get fuel, and I expaliened how I got mine. The poster never asks me about the way forward. |

I just have to keep thanking the petrol attendant that hinted me of an imminent fuel scarcity early Saturday when I went to buy fuel at Mobil FS in Lekki.I met just a handful of cars at the station. I told him to put N1000 fuel into my car but he advised I buy more, that I may not get fuel this easily any time from now. I just told him to fill my tank and N2500 was enough. I was surprised to see very long queues later in the day, and by today, it had become very serious. Anyway, I had prepared for the rainy day. I have in my car now fuel that can last me for a week! I don't have any business with filling station at least in teh next one week. Thanks to the Mobil petrol attendant! |
nisot23:Hey guy, are u in faculty of social sciences or admin? You reminded me of when I was doing these courses some seven years ago. You didn't mention SSC 111(Psychology). Anyway, my advice is to build your GP as early as possible. SSC 101 was the only course I had B in my part 1, and you can do better! Cheers!!! |
naijacutee:. . .and you think a person with an insane state of head will have a different state of heart. |
From Islamic standpoint, a person will not be held accountable for that he does while in a state of insanity. He will be judged by his actions up to when he became insane. That will determine whether he merits paradise or hellfire. |
I still dey around o |
It will be hard to pick a Super Eagle 11 on current, because you can hardly get 11 Nigerian players in form now. While some are warming benches, some are struggling with injuries. Other than taye Taiwo and maybe Etuhu, I can't remember any other player that can be said to be in form. Permit me to ask, as Ghanaians are helping us ask here(http://discussions.ghanaweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=101093&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) taht what is happening to our football? |

Although Funmi is a veteran anti-north warrior on NL(she once said she cannot rent her house to Hausa), but I can vouch that Funmi will never write this kind of English, even when sleeping. Besides,Funmi will never use these kind of 'points' to argue on Politics. She will rather raise such points in her series of cultural probes in culture section. I can smell Funmi's writing/reasoning from a million miles away. |

The Northern Nigerians Are they Peoples causing the current problems In Nigeria. They are not Civilized in any way. They seat on mat everyday to pray. They don't Intend to Buy Chair and Furniture to feel comfortable. They are not Civilized that Why they don't care about Nigerians. They can Dress in one Clothes Adagba, Native only. They Never think of Civilization in the World. They can sleep without no light and they will be Perfect. They can controls full cow without no problems Including Nigerians they will say Yes to anything they say. The Southern Nigerians and Eastern Nigerian they are all Civilize to the Western World How can we solve this Problem Because It is the Northern Problem that Why we are suffering. The Power come from the Northern Nigeria.@Poster Your writing is an award-winnable demonstration of how not to write. But that is not even the issue here. When you criticize, you do so with facts. Your supporting 'facts' really expose you as an armchair critic. And Nairalanders, ever critical as most are, have shown you that criticizing itself is an art. I do not subscribe to the widespread belief among Nigerians that Northerners are our problem(My take is that the problem has no tribal/regional dimension), but people that say so have more reasonable arguments than what you spewed up there. Arguments like Northerners have ruled Nigeria more than any other part of the country, higher illiteracy and poverty rates, widespread dependence on government etc make more sense. How is wearing agbada a cause of Nigeria's problem? How is sitting on the mat to pray everyday related to the problem of Nigeria? I live in an estate in VI here, and I sit on mat with our aboki gatemen to pray when I'm at home on weekends? Does that make me uncivilized or a problem to Nigeria? Does that affect my professional output? FYI, this cuts across all classes in Hausaland. The Dangotes, Sanusi Lamidos, Nuhu Ribadus all do this thing in their compounds( sitting on mats, praying, talking, with suya by the side). And their simple, humble lifestyle is one of the things I like about them. So dude, when next you're criticizing try to back it with facts that are at least debatable. People here are not kids! |
What are you saying pls? |
Is anybody disputing the Williams having Badagry, Lagos origin? Isn't this well-known? I'm surprised seeing many people dispute it here. It came into fore when their sister, Yetunde died, I think, few years ago. Source? I can't quote any now. But even recently I read somewhere that they were planning visiting Naija as root-coming. |

Somebody e-got on my nerves this morning and I bombarded him with series of e-knocks via the 'what's in your mind' feature. I hardly get angry but the guy actually provoked me. He and his sister (a fringe Nairalander) defriended me, which I don't care about anyway. But a little importantly, Facebook team also sent me a message warning me, and before I knew it my facebook account had been disabled. I'm now no longer on Facebook. Although I've sent them an email asking that my account be re-enabled but I know if I'm not, it's not going to take anything away from me. If anything, it's even going to be a plus for me. At least I can now face my work. I joined facebook late, I think about 6 months ago, despite the hype about it. I never fancied it initially. I only caught the bug when my colleagues, curiously the less busy ones (Corpers, IT etc), won't leave me alone. Admittedly, it has reunited me with a couple of old friends. Only a couple of days ago, I was telling one of my friends on FB, who I actually met through NL, that 'I can stay off-FB for 5 days but NL, I pray I'm not imprisoned'. I'm OK with NL. I enjoy NL far more than FB. I like debating, contributing to issues. I have never been given to commenting on pictures etc before. Seun, I reaffirm my commitment to abide by NL rules, so that I will not be yanked off NL too ![]() |

Okonji Iweala would be an ideal replcement just that she is too expensive!Remi Babalola is my choice. The guy is a performer. To me, he outperformed Shamsudeen Usman, even as Minister of state. I have also heard much about Sanusi Lamido's brilliance, but I know little about him. Still learning about/observing him before placing my money on him. Fola Adeola is a genius but, being one of the promoters of one of the banks to be regulated, I don't think he's in best position to be CBN governor. In your own state, one man ( Olusola Saraki) is controlling everything. His son is the governor, he has a son in the senate and a daughter in the house of reps.Good point, bad facts. Try to arm yourself with exact facts, especially when criticizing. Saraki did not have a son in Senate and daughter in House. His daughter is in Senate. She was in House 1999-2003. His only son in elected office is Bukola Governor. |

I hardly watch Nollywood films, except comedies. The film 'bird flu' was too hilarious and made my day when I watched it. |

OOLUSEG:It was just edited, obviously because of this thread. It was still there at least by yesterday morning when I checked last. I attempted editing it, deleting that sentence, but I wasn't registered, which was a prerequisite for editing entries, and I didn't ahve time to fill any form in registration details. My quote up there was directly copied from the page. Probably somebody reading thsi has done the editing. The problem with Jimoh Ibrahim is that he talks too much.He does what is called 'laulau' in Yoruba slang parlance. When somebody talks too much he is bound to commit many gaffe. How many times have you seen Dangote, Femi Otedola or Mike Adenuga talking about themselves or other poeple. These people are too busy to engage in these frivolous talks JI does. Remember when he threw verbal invectives on Dangote & FO sometime last year? And these people employ far more than he does. He only employs on newspapers. He will employ 10 people and publish their names on newspapers. What a childish act! Jimoh Ibrahim's behaviour is best described by the Yoruba proverb ' . . oju orola ri tin japo s'aya' literally translateable as ''. . . a poor man that was fortunate to come across wealth, and mismanaging the wealth'' JI talks much about his being Harvard-trained. And so therefore! There are hundreds of Harvard-trained professionals in Nigeria. If anything, what comes out of his mouth at times makes one wonder whether this man actually passed through Harvard. I can't stop laughing when I read his 'print more money' advocacy as solution to Nigeria's problem. I was in year 2 as an Economics students when I had known that printing more money, without equivalent rise in production output, will spell inflationary pressure on an economy. On his latest biafran outburst, it's a shame that that such divisive utterance could come out from the man that claims he has Nigeria's interest in his mind. It's a pity |
