BusinessRe: Why Do We Collect ATM Transaction Receipts Only To Dump Them? (PIX) by jascon1(m): 9:42pm On Jun 17, 2013
Every customer is entitled to a receipt for any legal transactions. Is not t fault of t customer that t place is littered. The banks should have better disposal units for these papers. Imagine a small basket for approx. 1000 customers. The maintenance crews don't check to ensure these baskets r always empty or replaced when full. This thing happens in many countries and not only in 9ja. But, its t duty of t banks to clean up thrash and that's one of the services u pay for. Do u know how frustrating our atm are? T frustration Is enough to break t machines sef. Abeg leave customers make dem breathe joor. Na dem go clean t floor b4? See ur dirty foot sef wey u tek dey snap picture

Oohrhii: Sorry..but yes returning it back to the originating bank is the standard procedure.

My advice.. go to GTbank website. speak with their customer service. If you are in the UK i think they have a branch there where u can request for a new card and choose the bank in the Uk as your point of pickup. Alternatively log into your Online account and do all your transactions online.
ill advice you to just forget the card and request for a new one online. Cost #1000. Also as said earlier look for their nearest branch and choose the place as your pick up point.

Pele.. next time dont put all your eggs in one Basket.. Diversify!

Pls help! How do I get a new atm card? My atm card expired and am schooling abroad. I have my money in my GTB account and I have need to use it. The machine here seized my card and when I went to the bank to retrieve it I was denied my bank card. I was told the bank policy is to send it to the bank in my country and am thousands of miles away. Does anyone know who I can contact in GTB or an email address to the bank? What do u advice that I do?

TravelRe: The Journey From Accra To Lagos By Road. by jascon1(m): 6:04pm On Mar 13, 2013
yuzedo: Lol! Went thru this crap last month. The foolish immigrations people singled me out for random search/questioning.

What do you do? I am a Financial Analyst in a Private Equity firm. Ok, please come down from the bus.

They go through my phone. They go through my laptop! On my laptop they saw the movie "Police Academy" and raised alarm, what am I doing with sensitive documents eh? Is this not the Police Academy in Kano? This must be classified info! Who are you and why do you have this on your system?

Chai! See the ignorant, illiterates we entrust our security!

I got home at 12am that day after leaving Accra at 7.30am. Meanwhile some days prior to that I arrived accra at 8pm. All because the Nigeria axis is a failed portion of the journey.

Police Academy, Kano! grin grin grin
After my trip from Ghana to Lagos I vowed never to travel on land in any african country. Every step is an extortionist in customs uniform collecting money. Don't stab 9ja alone, same thing also happened in Ghana-Togo aflao border. Thieves just standing collecting money from poor victims. Seme-togo border same thing happened to me. But, the worst of all is the seme border. Even with my Nigerian passport I was subdue to absolute opression and victimization. They emptied my pocket to the point that I went mad and had to pour out my frustration and put myself at huge risks. Even the customs officers denied stamping my passport without bribe. The entire money I spent, was collectively sufficient to book a flight ticket. I arrived home broke and completely disheartened and disappointed over things happeneing in my own country. Tho, my trip by air was amazing and hitch-free. I wouldn't advice anyone to ply that route. If u can afford a ticket by air, pls save yourself the harrasment. And if u want to dare, don't forget your yellow paper and be careful who u give your passport to. Get smart, move fast and don't answer to every call. Again, don't dress to impress no one, dress haggard and shine ya eyes.

PoliticsRe: IBB I Would Put On My Uniform If This Country Heads Towards Disintegration? by jascon1(m): 3:55am On Jan 28, 2012
the essence of this is all about keeping the south-south (oil) IN. why would one fight to keep Nigeria together? is there unity in Nigeria? since 1960 what has Nigeria gained from her massive mineral endowmenthuh a country like Nigeria should split for good. IBB is an old beef who is trying to prove that he is still alive. people thought he died in Germany and some of his relatives even cried and shared condolence. if he had any nerve to fight for a united Nigeria, he would have done so while in power. if he can fight to keep Nigeria together, why hasnt he fought against corruption and the canker-worm in our governmenthuh we are not seeking people who want to correct their mistakes, but we need a leader with a vision. angry

if all lament and grieve with such intensity, then i suppose its time to address the neglect the niger delta has suffered for decades. we own this oil, yet we suffer the pollution, land degradation, explosion and many with little or no benefit. we have no rivers anymore as they have all been polluted by leakages and explosions, the average populace thrive in illiteracy and ignorance,
Nigeria as a whole benefit from our oil and we dont even get a share of development or compensation from the govt. or companies that make huge earnings in our lands. it was out of neglect and too many unanswered plea that a group called the MEND was formed to fight against the govt. as to this effect, many villages have been wiped out and turned to cemetaries by govt troupes, many women and kids molested with no compensation from the govt. you can recall this group aimed at pipelines and not human lives, yet they paid with their own lives for fighting against resource exploit, this is all we got left, oil, as our land is constantly degrading, our waters are deeply polluted for commercial fishing, our air chemicalized and our brothers slained,
i am forced to ask, was the rest part of Nigeria too selfish to lend a voice for our liberation as at when needed?

PoliticsRe: Report Your Efforts And And Ideas In Supporting The Protests And Strikes by jascon1(m): 6:35am On Jan 12, 2012
at this juncture, i must say that a larger percentage of nigerians are selfish and wicked, now that fuel pump price hits everyone, there is mass protest. have u ever figured out where this oil comes from? for decades the owners of these oil have suffered neglect, abuja was constructed with oil money and yet the niger delta has been left to degradation, explosion, polution, hardship, unemployment and many. do u know the rivers our ancestors fished to sustain their families are almost entirely poluted? do u know there are many rural settings in the delta without even a school block?
these ppl have suffered and cried for help for too many times, yet, nigerians are adamant to their plea, and yet, they thrive on their oil, if nigerians can go 4days without work because of increment in fuel pump price, then it's time to reconsider the situation in the n/delta (the owners of the oil),
