South-East: And what has it got to do with his performance? I was saying it in the context of man's nature, you illiterate. No one was tribal about it? You are a fool. What was Eko Ile doing? Thunder fire your lying nyash there. Clinton is also Nigerian? You bloody heediot. Guy, you are very daft, and I am being modest with my words. This what I posted: jason123: Big Eff up!!!! After so much good work, the guy just messed himself up!!! Did I, in any way, say it will AFFECT his performance?? I said the guy MESSED HIMSELF UP!!! He is certainly not a role model for people! Would you want someone like that to rule you? Is it not embarrassing? And don't tell me about OBJ because he had finished his tenure when it happened. Now, take a look at what you said: South-East: If true, this incidence has been going on while the guy has also been doing his good job. I do not see the relationship between his sex life and his performance.
Bad as it is, what he did is what 100% of Nigerians are doing: sleeping with girls they are not married to. He was just unlucky/silly that he did not use a condom or the condom broke while in action ( ); hence the pregnancy
Did Abiola not sleep with almost all the women there are in odualand? Was Obasanjo not sleeping with his own daughter in law (apparently with a condom), yet did not develop Nigeria like Chime is developing Enugu? Was Clinton not sleeping with his staff? Did Abacha not die on top of Indian har/lots? Wait until Fasola/Uduaghan/GEJ/etc' own bubbles burst- men na men boo.
As long as he gets Enugu on track and does not embezzle Enugu's money, the rest na him private matter. That is naija for you. Can you see you are senseless?? In fact, this is my last reply. . . |

Re: APGA SET TO SWEEP LAGOS COUNCILS ELECTION AS OKOROCHA STORMS LAGOS « Reply #5 on: Today at 05:52:43 PM » QuoteModifyRemove THINGS APGA NEED TO DO WHEN IT WINS
1st. Pay up the arrears of civil servant owned with no thoughts of paying, as was done in Imo.
2nd. Change the narrative from fashola fashola fashola is doing this, Fashola is doing that, to WHAT IS PINCHING YOU IN YOUR SHOE ? . there needs to be a conscience with development. not only does Lagos need a 4th mainland but even more importantly its needs the rural roads repaired , the road that average Ade and Emeka plies everyday, them ikotun road, ejigbo, rural ketu. APGA need to show the people that Lagos is not for the Adenugas alone but also for obinna and Bimbola.
3. Engage the Apga LGA to serious grassroot empowerment.
4. focus more on the poor's plight, ; prompt sanitation and refuse clearing in the most civilized manner.
5. In APGA LGA , there would be a need to provide street sweepers with a modern motorized street cleaner to protect their life and dignity of the profession.
6. empower the people by establishing a body to create a database of every house and parcel of land , with a matching owner , to forestall fraud that has been perpetuated upon the good hardworking people of Lagos by unscrupulous element in the society.
7. Encourage people to turn to God and avoid diabolic acts.
8. establish neighbour hood watch to work in partnership with NPF to strengthen security and protect our values and way of life. You can be funny. This betrays your early call for a "live and let live society". If you are being honest (and don't for one second, think this is petty), you'll agree that it is not only an "Obinna or Emeka" that has Lagos blood in them. We also have a Temi, an Osaze, an Ufot, an Ubong, an Abdulkabir etc. You ised your own hands to reveal APGA's ambition . . . SMH!!! My question is WHY LAGOS?? Why can't Apga try, let's say, Ogun Why Lagos? What is the obsession? |

macjive01: why is this topic always a sore point for you Yorubas ?
First, Aworis are not entirely Yoruba ( i will leave that for now)
Two, your disparaging analogy of Abuja and Gwari is exactly the same for lagos if only u replace abuja with lagos , Gwari with awori.
then hausa with yoruba.
also saying "its so surrounded by yoruba that it is yoruba" same can be said of abuja as being surrounded by hausa that it is hausa, yet the contrary is the case in both.
third, lagos was built on no man's land. an island, that was inhospitable and seemly inhabitable. with the ingenuity of the british , the steadfastness, diligence and proficiency of the Igbos whom occupied all critical decision making structure of the civil service at that time , made this seemingly waste a capital.
look, Igbos are not claiming anything, its national property we all know that, and have faith in its status and continue to demonstrate that faith by pouring money and material into the trenches of ikotun to the marshland of ikoyi, epe, to the ghetto of mushin- redeveloping and even more outright building of edifice that shone and radiates beyond our national shores. @Highlighted That is where I stopped read. Can you do me a favour? I am sure you are Lagosian, right? You might have a friend who is an Awori from Isale Eko or Badagry. Can you please tell him EXACTLY what you typed here? Thanks! I have Aworis friends here in the Uk and I know how they feel. Even Ijaws tried telling them that they are part of the greater Ijaw, they REJECTED IT! Not to talk about some guy on the internet. . . . .I am not against democracy but if you feel Igbos turned Lagos to what it is not and that Yorubas and other Nigerians in Lagos (because it seems its only the Igbos that are SO INTERESTED IN LAGOS) are not appreciative of your efforts. Why don't you go back and make a good example for all Nigerians to see in the SE I really do not get your logic. If you feeling you are not welcomed ENOUGH, then, go back and make any SE state better or at par with Lagos and co. There is no hate but the above is the truth. Literally speaking! |

I can as well tell u to, in your words, ph. ock back to Ibadan.
why do Yorubas claim Lagos, isnt it silly ? its just like Hausas waking up from their funnu (the raw dirty, un-hygienic milky drink) induced sleep to say Abuja na their land because na them be the FCT minister.
Wake up, this is democracy, when people residing in Lagos realize that a People oriented party like APGA is best for them and votes them in, ushering in a real grassroot led growth and development then u will understand what i am telling you. There is nothing bad in being democratic. If you are the majority and can convince your neighbours to vote for a "people oriented party", FINE. Politics › Lagos Home To New Innovation Hub As Venia Business Hub Launches by jason123(op): 4:30am On Sep 16, 2011 |
We previously shared news about two innovation hubs in Nigeria, Co-creation Hub located in Yaba, Lagos and the Institute for Venture Design located in Abeokuta, Ogun State. A new innovation hub, Venia Business Hub just launched in Lagos, Nigeria. According to Venia Consulting, the Hub’s parent company, “the Hub is a provider of serviced and virtual offices for entrepreneurs and business men across the country. The company also offers training, seminars and conferences and even more importantly, links businesses to a pool of Angel Investors and Financial Partners for financial support and start-up capital.” This year is an exciting one for innovators and entrepreneurs in Nigeria given the launch of innovation hubs targeting startups and entrepreneurs. Kola Oyeneyin, C.E.O. Venia Business Hub According to the Hub’s C.E.O., Mr. Kola Oyeneyin, ”We feel the pain of business men and women in Nigeria; little or no financial support from financial institutions, no advisory support from known agencies and being taken advantage of by bigger private companies. There’s an ideology in Nigeria that anything excellent or world-class has to cost an arm and a leg, and ultimately break the bank, it has to be done in such a way that only the rich and powerful can afford it. Venia Consulting is here to change that. We will and are providing world-class products and services that are practical, affordable and accessible to more people. This is what we have done with the Hub. When we say the future is here – we mean it! Venia Business Hub is poised to revolutionise entrepreneurship and small-medium businesses in the country through its underlying principle of ‘Businesses that add Value to People.’” “We do not embark on any business opportunity that does not solve a community problem and in return add significant value to the lives of the people wherever we operate,” he continued. To learn more about Venia Business Hub, visit www.veniabusinesshub.comHere is the hub’s address and contact information. Politics › Re: XXXXX by jason123: 6:22pm On Sep 15, 2011 |
afam4eva: @Jason and co If Lagos should cue from Abia, then note that it's Yorubas from other states that will suffer it. Lagos state civil service is made up of mostly non-indegene Yorubas who preach "One Yoruba" because of what they benefit from Lagos at the detriment of true lagos indegenes. Note that most people that were sent packing from Abia state are Igbos from Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Rivers, Delta etc. So, no one should tag it tribalism.
Even though Theo Orji seems to be one of the clueless governors in Nigeria, he may not be entirely wrong in taking this step. Mind you the same thing is happening in other states and if Abians don't have this opportunity in their state where else will they have it. Until the FG trashes out this Indegene/Settler issue, things like this will keep happening. You are the one taking this the wrong way. I did not type down "Yorubas", I typed down "Aworis". So I was asking the other guy if it will be benefit everyone, should Aworis do the same. |

South-East: How many non-indigenes of Lagos work in the State offices? Forget that. I'm talking about a situation where Aworis and Gwaris deport all other Nigerians. The reason why I asked this, is because of: Ngwakwe: People should not be insensitive to issue like these, natives (inclusive of people who are born there) should at least consist of 80% of their state's workforce. Some weeks ago, Aworis were complaining about marginalisation . . . So the question is, should Lagos do the same ? |

@BeafThe article below is an example of what I was saying. Are the Binis wrong? If they are, why did the supreme court give them the land? Anyone can PASS ON an oral "detailed" history for generations. For example, the on-going controversy between Binis and Yorubas. Who are 'we' to say the Binis are right and Yorubas are wrong and vis-versa? War brews in Edo over ownership of land occupied by Ijaw, Bini THURSDAY, 15 SEPTEMBER 2011 00:00
THE Bini and Ijaw in Edo State are spoiling for a war over the ownership of a parcel of land occupied by about two million Ijaw people, dating back to the 15th Century.
The disputed land is situated between Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West local government areas of the state.
Our correspondent gathered that the Ijaw stock in the state are claiming ownership of the land, on which they were allowed to settle as “migrant fishermen”.
In fact, the Ijaw yesterday staged a protest to the Government House, Benin, on the matter, and had to be pacified by the governor himself.
The Supreme Court, presided over by Muhamadu Lawal Uwais and four other justices, had earlier decided the case in favour of Oba of Benin in a suit on August 9, 1983.
But, in a terse petition to the Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the Enogie of Obazuwa, Ovbie-Oba Edun Akenzua (who is in-charge of most of the territories being annexed) and 80 others, alleged that some Bini subjects have at several times been attacked, unprovoked, by the Ijaw, whom they described as “settlers.”
They said that the Supreme Court judgement had confirmed the Bini as the original owners of the land.
Akenzua said the Ijaw “forayed” into the land as Benin communities of Agbonmoba, Ozomu, Igbobi, Ekete, Ite, Orogo, Ewudu, Ekenhuan, Okomu and Gelegele – part of which the Federal Government had used as training ground for its amnesty programme for ex-militants.
According to him (Enogie),“Ijaw militants from Iko” had on June 3, 2011 attacked the Bini occupants of the area with machetes, and in the process kidnapped three of his subjects and vandalised their property and vehicles.
“The question of who owns Gelegele has gone through litigation and has long been settled. For 50 years, these settler Ijaw have perpetrated various forms of provocation against the Bini. We are finding it increasingly difficult to restrain ourselves from retaliating these unwarranted attacks by the Ijaw. If they refuse to cohabit in harmony with us, they are at liberty to go and join their kith and kin in Bayelsa or Rivers State. They must respect the bond of love that binds host and guests,” the petition reads. http://www.nigeriancompass.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4981:war-brews-in-edo-over-ownership-of-land-occupied-by-ijaw-bini-&catid=54:nigeria-today&Itemid=594 |

edicolove: 1. The idea to industrilise their state has already been muted by over 15 governors. Amosun is not the first. 2. Some people are still saying 10,000 industries. That is fantasy not reality. 3. Industries and companies are not the same thing. Stop using them interchangeably 4. Creating space for industries is not enough to make people come to your state and start an industry. They have like 36(state) choices. There has to be things that will make them come including:
Raw Materials (Ogun has very few natural resources) Power (Ogun has no power plant) Rail system/transportation facilities (Ogun has no airport or seaport) Finance (Ogun is not a wealthy state)
If he is really sincere, he should pick achievable goals and grow from there (crawl before you walk). Ogun is more like a Lagos spillover. He could take advantage of the facilities Lagos has. But to go to press and say he will increase the number of industries in Ogun State to about 10,000 in the next four years, means he is not sincere. Just doing propaganda. The good thing though is that this page has been booked marked. We will refer to it in 2015. Ogun does not just have "very few" resources. Everything is not about oil. What about Bitumen and Iron ore?? @Highlighted VERY CORRECT AND WELL PUT!!! |
