SIX REGIONS OF GOVERNANCE!

All regions are SEMI-AUTONOMOUS! That is, they come together to help regions that are struggling financially, IF THEY FEEL LIKE (Its not necessary). They come together to defend Nigeria from foreigners. They come together to make federal decisions etc!
Each region can form X number of states in THEIR REGION!
Regional co-operation should be allowed.
EACH ETHNIC GROUP (Even the smallest) should be allowed to choose the region they want to be included in.

Regional soldiers or army should be not be allowed! Some regions might want to secede from Nigeria, forcefully.

Their should be Federal laws and regional laws. The Regional laws should be with the jurisdiction of the Federal laws.

I am sure you know where I am going to with this.

However, if much of the oil money driving Delta state's development is indeed from Itsekiri land and they are still having these ethnic conflicts with Ijaws, then maybe they should be in a separate state from the Ijaws. It would stop all these clashes and talk of "conquered territory" in 2011.

The point is NIGER-DELTA IS NOT = IJAW LAND!!!! That is the point

National Security: Fashola tasks Immigration

Against the backdrop of recent security challenges in the country, Lagos State governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), has urged the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to rise up to the occasion by contributing meaningfully to the security of the country.

Fashola, who spoke at the Lagos House while hosting the Comptroller of the NIS, Lagos State Command, Mr. Abbas Ahmed, who paid him a courtesy visit, said the Immigration Service, in its conception and by its territorial location, should be at the forefront of intelligence gathering in the current efforts to secure the country.

He told the visiting Comptroller, “This is the time when you can, by your very clear action, demonstrate to Nigerians that you are more than an agency whose role is simply to issue passports. It will not be achieved simply by talking about it”.

Congratulating the Comptroller on the NIS move to create a third passport office in Ikeja, the governor said his administration remains a willing and ready partner with the Immigration Service in its efforts and activities aimed at achieving security in Nigeria and Lagos State.

Earlier,  the Comptroller said the purpose of his visit was to register the appreciation of the NIS to the state government for its assistance and also to inform the governor of the creation of a new passport office (the third in Lagos) in Ikeja.

Also include CONSTANT ELECTRICITY AND ALL OUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED, at least 90% of it. Jos crisis, Boko haram, traffic jam, ethnic strife etc. WILL ALL END!!! Why? The proposed new Ijaw states cuts across Ilaje land, Mahin land, Itsekiri land and partly Uhrobo land (warri). Do these ethnic groups not have a say in who they join?? What about Port harcourt? That was also included in their "state"
Their states cannot be more "Niger-deltean" than it already is. Are you telling me that none of these groups had costal tendencies embedded in their culture Do you know that Ilaje people are more Ocean oriented than Ijaws who are riverine oriented? In some of their websites,they even say Aworis are Ijaws. Yet, they dare not tell an Awori person that he is Ijaw in his face and not see trouble (I have Awori friend[b]s[/b] and I stayed in Lagos)!

Beaf, if you are true to yourself and conscience (Assuming you are not an Ijaw man ), you'll agree with me that if we follow the Ijaw history, it means their is a chance they (Ijaws) migrated to these places and all of a sudden, called it "Ijaw land". It was this same reason that almost made them and Edos come 'eye to eye'.

Beaf, I tell you this FAIRLY CONFIDENTLY, if Nigeria does not have Southern Nigeria after it splits, Itsekiris,Ilajes and Uhrobos(at least I sure of Itsekiris) will join Edos and if Edos by mistake join Oduduwa. Be rest assured that Itsekiris, Uhrobos (including Isoko) will follow.

Yes, they can't. Even the Edos can't. Why because they have ALWAYS believed in federalism through out their history. A live and let live society. As for me, NO TO ND REPUBLIC. The love of Oil will be what will kill us all. I know when the time comes the Uhrobos and Isokos will see things from that point of view.
