Travel › Re: Two Adamawa Lgas Cut Off As Flood Destroys Major Bridge (pix) by JayB11(m): 1:49am On Aug 20, 2019 |
Abuloma80: Totally untrue. They are a 50-50 Local Govts in terms of APC/PDP voting pattern. Check your figures for the last election. Ahmadu Fintiri (PDP) won by very, very tiny margin over the incumbent, Umaru Bindo (APC). How could PDP be 90% in the area, yet its senator was from APC. During 2015 elections Binta Massi Garba (APC) was the senator for the Adamawa North which comprises Madagali, Michika (Binta's town), Gulak (Fintiri's town), Askira-Uba, Mubi (Bindo's town), Hong, Gombi, Song etc. I am telling you these with all honesty and confidence because l come from Michika. This bridge wahal is just one of the neglected aspects. The most painful and worst affecting the indigenes from these areas particularly my home town Michika, is lack of restoration of POWER. Ever when Boko Haram cut off and destroyed the power lines in 2014 consecutively 5+ years without light. The impact and effects of that is better imagined by the residents especially those whose businesses are dependant on light. So with all fairness and justice to equitable accessible to infrastructure, those two wahala (bridge & power) should be urgently addressed to. The govt should please try this time around, Michika light should be restored and the bridge too. These two massive issues screwed Binta Masi's return big time. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Vacancy In Nigerians At Action Against Hunger (NGO) by JayB11(m): 11:58pm On Mar 05, 2019 |
cuuutie: Hello, I need your help please. So I already have some bit of experience in various humanitarian projects and internships. I have also taken some courses on response to disaster and international humanitarian law so I have some bit of ground and large interest. I will hopefully be joining the next NYSC batch come April and I know for certain that wherever I’m posted, I would love to work with an NGO. I might eventually work towards serving in Abuja but I most likely won’t. My challenge is first finding an NGO that takes on Corpers and secondly finding NGOs that would also offer accommodation. Do you any tips or pointers that could help? Thank you Hello, It is good knowing about your profile within the Humanitarian context. Based on my knowledge, the States that possess most fulfilling UN Agencies, INGOs, and NNGOs are Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa. On a sad note, almost if not all NGOs do not accept Corps Members. A good number of organizations do not request NYSC discharge certificate either, so it is feasible for u to secure a job. I will advice dat u work ur posting to a state dat has more NGOs n poses a bigger likelihood for u to be recruited. Then u get a less demanding PPA, and keep applying for vacancies until fortune locates u. |

Their children struggled to get good education thanks to Osaretin's extended family who diverted funds meant for public development to themselves.
I feel no sympathy for them.

Today it is another inevitable turn, a moment you bid farewell to this evil world. God rest your soul Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh. |

ehissi: He was slaughtered on his way bacl from his farm. Its a Boko Haram attack right there......
Boko have been looking for him since, if you remember they attacked his home when he was still in the service as CDS.
I know a lot of officers and men of the airforce whose homes in their villages have been marked by Boko Haram since; from Former Airforce Military School commandant Wing Commander Zakari to common airmen who couldn't go home because Boko haram intelligence placed their villlage homes on watchlist.
This could have easily been avoided, but his Aides and security protocols got sloppy, How the f**k does a 4 star, Air Officer gets murdered by crazy Islamic cutthroats? They withdrew his aides due to allegations on him even before prosecution. All diz while he has been alone. |
