OnionBandit: This is one thing I love about Indians...
Even though their country is the real definition of shithole, they still try to speak well of it in public domains. There are places in India where children will have to swim through water filled with poo of different sizes to get to school but they won't let the world see these slums..If you have watched slumdog millionaire, you will have an idea of what I am saying.
...but here in Nigeria, just because you don't like a president, you go on twitter, Facebook, Reddit, quora etc to call your country zoo., spread fake news, exaggerate ills in the country, insult your president like he is the reason your life is miserable, and then tag the whole world to see..
Why won't a shithole like India, Kenya look down on us? Pls are u single? I wish to marry you, you know nothing but the truth. |

Gambit23: IGBOs never wore leaves as clothes, We wore Akwaette clothes while northern fulanis were stark naked.
D grains will collapse , Millions of IGBOs in Kano who eat it will stop immediately.
Millions of IGBOs will exit the houses they live in and it will create an automatic crisis in d Kano state real estate market.
Kano hausa-fulani people drink beer very very very well and if beer parlour disappears, millions will be in alcohol withdrawal crisis.
The textile market will be thrown in turmoil cuz millions of IGBOs tha buy clothes from them will stop buying immediately.
Very many Banks will collapse for obvious reasons.
Most cars will halt immediately because there is no spare parts to repair them.
We will stop sending any crude oil cash or crude oil product to d north...There will be almost a total collapse of electricity in Kano and it will kill off manufacturing, kill d textile market and there will be no power or fuel to power hospitals and many will die...kano will come to a halt.
Even if Kano market is 10,000 years old, It will in no way stop the economic crisis that will hit any city that millions of people exit from Uneducated bunk, do more research, dwell more on the interest of South South on Biafra.....come back and tell me if any of the oil producing states will follow Igbos. |

Fahdiga1: Lol as if they meant it. When the referendum starts now this same almajiris will be the first to remind everyone that Nigerians are one. My message to this terrorists and parasites is that the day of reckoning will soon be here and Igbos are leaving you shoe shiners behind whether you like it or not. Light and darkness are not meant to be together So who suppose to be the light or darkness? My probs with you irrational folks is that you always think going to classrooms alone is all that matters. Have you ever travelled round the entire North to see the many Igbos thriving through with their businesses in the North? Every single Capital in the North has major streets which you will see more Igbo shops than indigenes. I see Northerners, i see my family preferring to patronize Igbo brothers' businesses than our fellow Northerners. Do you think we are foolish or you think we don't wish to grow ourselves here? If Nigeria breaks away today, na every side go feel am ooo...... With due regards to your post, respect your old or young self or whatever. |

lagusboyyy: I'm a graduate from one of the south west university in Nigeria, and i spend all my life in Lagos state , and also a yoruba guy from Lagos State.
But due to the rising and unavailability of good jobs around, i have been thinking of moving over to the North for greener pasture, i want to leave my comfort zone.
So, two states are on my mind, plateau state or gombe.
I really want input of individuals on this issues:
Cost of living
Availability of jobs
Security
Acceptability of strangers, and many more.
Which state do you guys think is ok, I'm really in need of a good job.
I will really appreciate this topic to be in frontpage so as to reach wider audience. I would prefer you ask your relatives domiciled in those places first before you move. You may consider Kaduna too. |

Fidelmak: Yes it's jalingo and its a Teaching Job I believe its your desire to teach. Jalingo at the moment is very calm, cases of kidnapping has drastically reduced. There is Keke Napep curfew at 9pm (however, taxis operate till midnight). If you are a type that doesn't stay out very very late, you are much safer to any imminent threat. However, if you must get to Jalingo, make sure you go through Adamawa other than through Benue-wukari axis due to the looming security situation around that region. If it is a private job, feel free to go to Jalingo, besides you may even pave for yourself more greener pasture as i believe your teaching job is only for a start. Good luck. |

Saintinoo: I am not trying to stop the OP from moving to the north, the person qouting you is someone who have stayed, mastered and studies almost 12 Northern states, reason why i am very confident about what i am saying, the OP can as well come and try, no body says he can not make it in the North, but it will be faster for him up South.
And about he North and their lifestyle, only someone who have stayed in the North for about 10years will understand what i mean, their mentality is a no growth mentality, you have to fast and pray to break that. Honestly, i respect your views. I thought you would get back at me with insults like it is common here on Nairaland for ages. You are a happy man and you know a lot. All the best Sir |

Saintinoo: I am not trying to discourage you but the North is not where you wil hustle, forget the cheap food in the North, you will look at your life in the next 10years and find out that you are in same level. The lifestyle of the Northerners made it that way. Exposure occurs when u have had interface with various situations, encounters, et al. Even if the devil dines in the North, there is always something to learn from there. What is all this lifestyle talk, u think your lifestyle is better over there, who told u? Remember, you are a savage elsewhere too and it doesn't stop u from getting there if you really have too. |

Sebastine1994: long live the president.
how come the helicopter did not crash.
young people should understand this president very well. he means well for us all.
he might show special preference for his own people, fine and good. human being are like that, we are sentimental creatures.
Sir, may God bless you. I am a Northerner and i am not impressed about the imbalance within the government but what can i do? My only consolation is the believe that nothing last forever. Buhari has come and will definitely go. I still believe in one Nigeria.
95% of osibanjos aides are yoruba.
let us just support him and bid him farewell.
leadership is not easy, ordinary chairman of lay readers wanted to blind me because I asked him some questions.
half of those idiots who condemn football players on screen will fumble with the ball in real life.
I must not always be intimidated by the majority to join the madness.
that was how you were condemning Jonathan, now you call him a saint
You will call buhari a saint after his tenure.
For my Igbo brothers. Greed is a powerful force to unite enemies to work together. but in our own case, greed has worked against us. Igbos are not United. if dangote was an Igbo man, so many shareholders will be killed overnight. that is why Igbos don't do partnership.
Put your house in order first, chase political power too and all other things shall be added unto you. Igbos alone have a net worth of 20 billion dollars. use the power |

Una never see anything yet. Tell everyone u know, violence is the last thing one should pray for. Life becomes difficult as the violence progresses. Imagine how life would be under round the clock curfew; no business, no banking, no hospital, no market, no school, everything gets stuck, the town or city becomes silenced by gunshots, sirens, bomb blasts, and many others. BOKO HARAM has served my people a lesson, but since it wasn't documented and taught in schools, South Easterners think this will hit softly, affecting only the specific target. But it won't work that way, not even your confessions will vindicate you from that impending hardship if this madness in South East does not stop.
I am not a wise man, i am only sharing from my true life story as a one time Nigerian refugee from North East.
