I guess you have figured out the difference between CISI and CFA, you are actually after financial planning or wealth management/advisory which makes sense, less work great pay and huge bonuses.

As madam wey you be, you can write CFA later so you can fully understand finance and become more exposed to various products that will benefit your clients (wealthy individuals, families and even foundations) both in terms of risk and return.

Takes time and dedication, but it's worth it.

The financial sector is often the first casualty of a recession but I reckon I can probably use the skills in other ways aside from working for a bank, investment/asset management entities.

As for career and family, both are important within reason o, I have no real interest in some high flying job that will take me away from home for weeks. To be honest, I am at a point where I just want to go to work earn enough to live decently. I have had BA peddled to me by a few people but given the ease of getting a certificate and it is the go to for Jack and Jill, I am quite wary. Decisions, decisions, decisions!
