Don't ignore IPE ( Institute of Petroleum Engineering at Heriot-Watt University). As far as I know, they have an average employment rate of 98%, in my year and the year before me it was 100%. This included non EU nationals that employers happily processed work permits for.

same way engineering assistant is way different from engineers
One is a technician whilst the other is a professional
