A total of 67 Italian Catholic priests have died after being infected with the novel coronavirus.

The Avvenire newspaper revealed this on Wednesday, adding that the youngest of those listed by the Catholic Church-affiliated paper was 53.

“Priests get sick and die like everybody else, maybe even more than the rest,” the Avvenire wrote.

The paper said 22 of the fatalities were in the Bergamo diocese, at the heart of the outbreak not far from the financial center Milan.

The Italian Association of Doctors have confirmed the death of 51 doctors who all died after testing positive for coronavirus.


The doctors succumbed to the disease as of Friday, according to CNN, citing the Italian Association of Doctors.

The death toll comes after Filippo Anelli, the president of the association, on Thursday called for doctors in the country to be provided with more personal protective equipment (PPE).

“The first thing to do is to protect healthcare workers, to make sure they are not the ones spreading the virus. Our doctors have been sent to war unarmed,” Anelli told The Financial Times in a Thursday article. “The dead do not make a noise. Yet, the names of our dead friends, our colleagues, put here in black and white, make a deafening noise.”

Putting your picture in any public online forum is like opening the doors of your home to the public and inviting them to come and look at you, akin to going to the zoo to look at animals.

The truth is I can send you a pm based on your pics and when you respond we become friends not necessarily leading into a sexual relationship. If it leads and it works fine if not you can become useful to yourself.

It's a faceless forum but yet a lot has been informed, ,gotten job offers, met partners and learnt a skill via this forum. Why cant we be real,o bjective and be our brothers keeper?

I noticed the trend of guys hiding their profile pics which was not so when we joined nairaland those days.

Is it because of the deceit, past experience, u just want to be anonymous, the vulnerability effect, intention to scam(some that use other genders pics).

Sometimes it happens as a result of deceit by one of the people involved.
For example I asked for mtn card u now gave me a glo card printed in yellow instead of it's usual green. When I peel the numbers to load, it will never. At that point I can jejely return the card, I no buy again.
