Dpharisee:Hehe... Not to be the devil's advocate but I'm sure this version was what your uncle told you |
CSTRR:How many Nigerian men are CEOs of fortune 500 companies? Most of those 'nurses' carry the financial burden of their families and extended families of both sides at home... This stuff goes both ways.. |
BiggyB242:Change is constant and environment factors play a role too. What a white lady would do to you in the U.S, she may not try in Nigeria. There are different kinds of issues that would come up in an interracial marriage that you may not even encouter if you marry someone from a similar background. |
BiggyB242:Yeah it may in some cases. I wouldn't term in power, it's just human rights.. I give you an illustration. If you go to Nigeria and bring a child over who was at the point of death following daily physical abuse by parents. On arrival in the West, if that same child steals your money and you use belt on the child, if that previously poor pikin calls the police on you, you're in trouble. Simple... If you can't bear the heat don't go to the kitchen. Let me ask you, why do you think an equally good number of Nigerian dudes who married Whites end up divorced and looking for Nigerian ladies to marry? I might be wrong, but from my experience I'd say the average Nigerian lady in the West are usually more patient with nigerian dudes given same conditions |
BiggyB242:Hehe... Also a good number of Nigerian men who initially married from other cultures most times end up looking for a Nigerian lady. It's not a hard and fast rule. Marriage is hard the best bet at success is doing it with someone who understands and appreciates your roots. |
genq:Hehe... It's not just a Nigerian woman thing Blacks in the West are underrepresented in the higher paying fields. A good majority of those nurses earn higher than their husbands and finance the home. Nigerian ladies can push it but same also the men. If a man's reason for marrying a Nigerian lady and bringing her to the West was so she would be at his beck and call and do as he pleases then he's better of marrying a White and seeing how much of those she'd tolerate. There are alot of happily married Nigerians abroad (seemingly). My point is that it goes both ways. |
GayPontiff:Some of your points are valid but men are not blame free too. Most would want to marry a Nigerian lady set up their homes like they're in Nigeria which is very difficult. Once you step into the West, know that there are different laws. If gou insist on using koboko or slap to discipline your children, then you'd loose them all. Same also, whether you brought your wife from Nigeria or not, you don't expect her to kneel to please you. Whether she was an almajiri or not, once she steps foot in the West, she's entitled to basic human rights just as everyone there. It's another country with different laws. It's just like going to Saudi Arabia and insisting on organising a gospel crusade. Most times, the Nigerian man who wants to be Lord and king at home will be so humble when talking with White ladies outside who are younger and less educated than his wife. It's only a matter of time before she starts asking if your strength is only over her. Most successful Nigerians abroad are married to Nigerians and fact is Nigerian ladies can be quite very patient with their men. If most men would treat their wife same way they would a white lady, things would be much different. Sorry for your uncle, but for him not to be able to see his kids, likely there must have been some physical abuse involved. What he'd be praised for in Nigeria as giving gis children proper training. |

faceland:Hehe... African kids are tough yet they die in their hundreds. We give good home training and discipline yet Nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Nigeria is a 'rich' country yet the poverty capital of the world Those are the familiar phrases we use to deceive ourselves. Almajiris are outside and not complaining because their future has been snatched by wicked leaders who send their own kids abroad. It gets to negative temperatures in parts of the world and people survived there for centuries. Those same people have decided to get civilised but we're here bragging that we have millions of kids who sleep outside and die unjustly |
faceland:Is that why African countries have the highest under-5 mortality rate? We should stop deceiveing ourselves |
This is so wrong and babaric. The government needs to stop this by using some people as example. Anybody can just raise a false alarm on someone and before you know, people start looking for petrol |
They way they are packed doesn't sit well. Good they've been released but hope this has not made terrorists see that the best way of getting the government on their knees is by kidnapping school kids |
DexterousOne:I'd say the risk is not owning any. It's outright the best performing asset over the last decade. With the way dollar and other currencies are being printed, it's value is bound to rise. It has an inbuilt anti-inflationary system as supply gets less with time and total possible supply is fixed. More people will buy over time and there'd be less and less supply. It's the future of currency. Governments fought it for years with no success and most have now moved from that to making sure people pay tax on their profits. The eurozone, china e.t.c are currently looking into a way of making something similar. I personally believe that if anything is going to unsit the dollar, it'd have to come in a similar universal and less restrictive offering to beetc It's the only way one can transfer billions of dollars from any part of the world to another almost instantly for almost no cost. When folks here were talking about where to buy and keep dollars, I smiled cos one can with the click of a finger buy dollar equivalent coyns without any hassle and no bereau d'change or bank concers. The best exchange rate when transferring money from hard currencies to naira is through it. The amount of companies investing part of their assets in it have been on the rise. I'm talking of even insurance companies buying in hundreds of millions of dollars. PayPal recently allowed their customers to purchase in app. My bank allows me ourchase in app. The list keeps growing If you think the move from 4k to 20k was surreal, what comes after will blow you out. Like I said irrespective of whatever move it makes in the short-term, the risk today for a young person is not owning any. |
EarlyCareer:It's difficult to say, but you don't want to buy into a green candle. Money in the market usually moves from the king, to majors, midcaps and lowcaps then back or out I tend to spread my portfolio across when I trade them.. lowcaps can be very volatile and can move both ways. I wouldn't advise buying on a day that everything has been green. With such moves come significant volatility to both sides. There's a lot of FOMO in the market now so any dump should be bought up quickly. On what to buy, if you're new, I'd say beetc is still the king. None other has outperformed it over time. Eithy is the controls all other alyts. So if you're trading them, you want to be in Eithy or coins who will outperform it over time. In the next impulse move, I believe Litc and Reeple would. But remember, when the market sells off, it's better to be out or in the majors. P.s. hope you get my abbreviations, na spambot I dey dodge |
highcurrent:Hehehe... I think that's a far reach for the short term. But I've seen coins go parabolic after breaking all time high. Link went from 4 to 20 in a very short period. 19.6k is looking more and more like a gift if we get it It's definitely not impossible, afterall were talking about an asset that traded for less than 10 dollars a decade ago. Fact is that majors will start approaching their ATH's once the king is done running. That's the cash I'm planning for. It'd be surreal |
