Family / Re: Have You Had Someone Close To You Commit Suicide? by JeffreyJunior: 3:42am On May 21
I've heard a lot, seen a lot and witnessed a few but none was close to me personally, but some, professionally.

Many guys that I know have put bullets through their skulls and one happened just last week.

The dude was in between, not too quiet and not very forthcoming either, a fine gentleman to the core, accomplished veteran who moved on to private military and made quite a fortune for himself. No wife, no kid, just in and out of relationships few times. Theo was a good man. Why he did what he did, I can't say.

In my experience, one thing to look out for in these extremely depressed guys is sudden show of happiness.

Just like I've seen good guys commit suicide, I've also seen bad guys do the same. The most recent bad guy that killed himself that I know of somehow picked up a tiny sharp stick on the ground while being walked to a location, went back to the inside, cut a vein in his wrist and bled all through the night while pretending to be asleep. He channeled his blood to a broken wall and no one saw the blood until he was almost completely drained and dead by morning.

Life is good, just live it the best you can. cool

Chibuike...

Chibuike was my friend. He was still in school while I was done with my nysc.

He was a final year medical student... A very brilliant guy with first class potential.

Now this Chibuike used to confide in me a lot... He confided in me how he struggled through school with finance etc. Even though his dad was wealthy could afford to pay for it but abandoned him and his mom in terms of taking care of their responsibilities.

He struggled to complete his academics and used to tell me about his dreams of finally becoming a medical doctor very soon... How he couldn't wait to take care of his mom... Who always struggled to support him when he was in need etc... He was so very close to achieving his dreams.

And then one holiday period he traveled to his village and never came back... He had a fatal accident and lost his life on his way back to Jos. It was so sudden... I never believed his death till I saw the burial poster.

His death was so painful to me... This was a young guy with lots of potential. About to get the reward of all he worked so hard for with all his heart. Even when I lost my dad I doubt it affected me the way his death did.

I hate it when young people die.

Sometimes now I wonder where all his dreams went... Life na vanity. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't chase our dreams. Because it's what gives us purpose in life.

Continue to rest Chibuike my friend... I can never forget your smile!
I don't know your Chibuike but his story has not only touched me but has has also reminded me of my own bottled up pain.

Like him, my best friend also died in a road accident many years ago.

Whenever I remember the dreams we had together and how I'm now living some of those dreams now, tears will always drop from my eyes.

He died far back in 2009 but I still feel like it was yesterday. We were together all through that fateful day and the only few minutes we had apart, he was brutally killed by a speeding car.

I talk with his mum regularly and the last time we spoke just last month, she was still consoling me over his death.

The poor woman has moved on but she knows I haven't and may never move on completely considering how her late son and I lived like twins.

Life is good and I steadily remind myself that I should now live mine and that of Iyke, my never to be forgotten friend.

I have a small foundation through which I do small charity in memory of him just to remind people that such a beautiful soul once lived with us here.

What type of kids forget a good father?
Thank you for that question, nne.

Only an irresponsible father will be forgotten at old age by his kids and if he was a terrible husband in his prime days too, his wife will leave him in the village to be drinking kai-kai and join her kids abroad.

They will always tell an incomplete story to suit their selfish narratives. Ndi ara.

If they don't benefit from their marriages, they should leave those that benefit from theirs alone.

Na like this some of them dey drink their useless redpill like Pepsi until they destroy their peaceful homes with their own hands and then resort to killing their wives.

I've added redpill to the checklist for my daughter's marriage. If you chop redpill, you will not marry my daughter. I'll rather she be a single mum than be married to an idiot that believes he is an alpha male when he can't even sit on the floor where real men sit on the table to discuss. angry

Like the husbands can't take care of themselves or what?

How do you expect us to take care of ourselves when the ladies call us babes even as we reach womenopause?

Biko, I can not take care of myself. I need pampering and I don't mind staying few hours days or weeks in that place.

Going there is not for my benefit sef, I just want my woman to enjoy small peace alone, away from the usual Junior, you don't listen to me complaints. I guess this kind thought makes me a good horseband. cheesy
Family / Re: Why Do Some Women Change After They Stopped Giving Birth? by JeffreyJunior: 2:19am On Jan 26
Lol, try to look at it from another angle.

When you guys were dating, she had some expectations from you, even in the early part of the marriage.

As soon as kids start coming, the expectations increase and if you don't meet those, that's when she gets mad and frustrated.

Naija men should learn to help out in their homes. Gone are the days when wives didn't work, stayed home and looked after the kids.

Now they work too just like men. It doesn't make one less a man when he feeds his kids, change their diapers, help with some chores at home and run errands for the family.

I believe every reasonable wife who gets her husband's attention at all times and gets litlle help here and there from him especially at home, will have little to complain or nag about.

Kids problems frustrate young moms a lot but young moms who regularly get help from their husbands have less burden and less burden means less frustrations.

Shalom.

Family / Re: If A Man Doesn't Marry When He Is Broke. Marriage Becomes Difficult When Rich by JeffreyJunior: 11:39pm On Sep 09, 2023
Wealth corrupts people who are already bad but humbled by poverty and also those who acquired it through unjust means.

I was telling someone the other day that if I have Bill Gates kind of wealth today, I will be more humble and disciplined than I already am, no lifestyle changes may be noticed by people.

If every Nigerian bride decides to follow money and won't let you differentiate between mechanic and mad people, then a little disguise will suffice.

However, I will not give out my daughter to a man of limited resources. You are either comfortable or I will need to see your long term plan on how to become comfortable.

Orlando Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Mail Fraud And Aggravated Identity Theft

This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ranganath Manthripragada
.

If you're talking about this one, he is already a goner.

His deportation is as guaranteed as my morning coffee and donuts.

The idiot is one of the many idiots bringing shame to Americans of Nigerian descent who work hard day by day to prove themselves to be trustworthy.

As e dey vex me now, if they hold him one more day after his jail term without deporting him, I will petition ICE to know why they are wasting taxpayers money feeding the idiot. sad

There's a good chance that he will be deported after serving his sentence.

ICE will definitely be notified of his conviction especially with the name fraud and Nigeria on it. In fact, they will be having erection by now. grin

Dude will not have the opportunity to do the restitution which will be on file to fight him when he plans to return to the US after a possible 10years ban. Also, he may likely not be able to enter US ally countries ever again.

If his Nigerian wife loves him and wants him to smell the country again, she should join the US military immediately or push one of their kids to join.

Doing so will help make his re-entry a reality. If not, he should come to Obosi park and join us keke drivers. We are not doing badly you know. wink

He voted for his choice, it's a pity he is not getting the services he had hoped for and I feel for his children who are paying for his mistakes.

I don't blame him for voting who he believed would change the country for good because from all indications, he might not have collected money to vote. He voted based on merits, in his own opinion.

Saying if it continues like this, he will stop voting is wrong though.
