fstranger3: done deal OAM4J:thank you |
OAM4J:thanks for the answer. We'll see tomorrow then ![]() |
^^ I agree. also do something about fstranger3. he is becoming a huge nuisance. |
If I could do it all I won't have created this topic would I? |
I created a topic on the politics board but I don't think there are any mods there so I'm creating one on here. I hope the moderators take notice of fstranger and give him a warning. I've reported him several times already but nothing seem to be changing. |
so who are the active mods here on nairaland? |
alright guys. back to topic ![]() Kobojunkie: |
what happens when people "spoil their record"? lol I personally am not a fool. until mods do something about him, I definitely will take matters into my hands because i've reported him several times before and I refuse to be followed around from topic to topic by an ailing monkey. |
^^i thought you're nigerian but he keeps insisting you're not. clarify once and for all plz, if you dont mind.
we'll, i'm yoruba and i've said that before. don't let the goat mess with your mind |
keep searching for your father you hear. you are better off looking for ur mom who threw you in the refuse dump i tell you that. i've been patient with you long enough. but you have proven yourself to be an incorrigible goat and the only way to treat a goat is to use a stick. |
OAM4J:fstranger is a goat that will never learn no matter how much you ignore him.
jenifa come clarify plz. gabry is the best |
where are the mods? ![]() |
Eko Ile:well, that's why i'm asking you. according to this topic, he paid 7million for Ifeanyi Dike. but then you are telling me that what he did is ok because he also did it for 300 other people. so the question is: did he pay 7 million for each and everyone of them? is lagos really that wealthy? I value my life but I wouldn't think it to be fair for the masses to be forced to pay for my hospital bill through taxes without their consent. I would rather do a charity fund raiser and appeal to citizens to donate voluntarily on my behalf. if the state is paying for me, it has to be through a program that is available for EVERY one like me in the state. not just a select few. ex a program like medicare. |
@sefago, I have no problem with weirdos. ex. I have no problems with you. but don't become a stalker or get abusive. that to me crosses the boundary. have you read the nairaland rules and regulations lately? MISCELLANEOUS - You may not bully a fellow Nairalander. This applied to old members too. Violation -> ban. - The invasion of another user's privacy is now strictly prohibited - example: posting a lady's full name (he's posted a girl's pictures before that he saved on his computer disk. and that's just disgusting to me). - Thou shalt not deliberately post false information. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS OR PUBLIC FIGHTS Nairaland is a discussion forum, and it is inevitable that disagreements with crop up from time to time. Please be nice and respectful to other members at all times and do not resort to personal attacks, false accusations, name-calling, and other unproductive forms of communication. If you are upset with another member of the forum you must settle the fight outside the forum. You must not carry out any 'fights' on the open forum. 'Fights' are not allowed. NO SEXUALLY EXPLICIT OR HATEFUL CONTENT Please do not post any pictures, multimedia content, or writing that is sexually explicit (lewd, suggestive, bawdy, dirty, love-related, filthy, gross, hard core, immodest, indecent, indelicate, lascivious, licentious, naughty, obscene, off-color, pornographic, X-rated, smutty, suggestive). We will also not allow any comments that promote hatred, violence, or murder against any race, ethnic or religion group, gender, sexual orientation, person, et cetera. |
Eko Ile:you didn't answer my question. It seems you work for Fashola anyways. do you? |
birds of the same feathers? ![]() I personally find him extremely annoying and it has definitely reduced the time I spend on Nairaland because he's always following me around from topic to topic. he will be here in a jiffy. watch I'm sure he has been banned once or twice because his username now has different numbers attached to it. but mods definitely ought to do something more serious about it. Like send him an admin message as a warning and ban his IP address or something. |
Eko Ile:so he paid 7 million each for 300 patients. lagos really is that rich? ![]() |
alj harem1:why do you say that? |
ah i'm sorry o. one man's meat is another man's. . . ![]() |
I've reported this nuisance so many times and I really don't know what to do anymore so mods please do something about it. I'm sure I'm not the only one with the same issues. |
I think people will be willing to die for Nigeria if they know that their death won't be in vain. |
for some reason I don't think the british were heavily involved in the slave trade. I always got the impression that they were against slave trade probably because they were losing out on the profits their counterparts were making off of it. I don't know though |
the north is sort of isolated from the south and also not very connected to the western world. part of the reason why the capital was moved to abuja was to have a more centralized government. a way to change the situation will be to connect/centralize the country more. by building transportation routes and encouraging trade between the different regions of Nigeria. this will be of very tremendous help for the country as a whole. |
PhysicsMHD:you'd be surprised ![]() not saying it's true. but I won't be too surprised if it were. |
this topic. seriously? ![]() |
Fashola had an aim in mind for sponsoring this nollywood actor after all: While commending Nollywood artistes who also participated in the Health Walk, for spreading positive messages in millions of homes through their films, Governor Fashola urged them to see it as an opportunity to work with the Ministry of Health to see the content of the kidney, hypertension and diabetes screening programme which the Government has committed to in the last three years. He called on the Nollywood artistes to consider producing what he called a docu-drama that would help in strengthening the advocacy on the need to exercise regularly, moderation in the kind of food people eat, saying such a production in English, Yoruba, Hausa and Pidgin would go a long way in sensitizing the people. While commending the NGO for the awareness rally, he challenged Nigerian artistes, including Prince Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, Fathia Balogun and the popular comedian, Ali Baba, who participated in the rally, to write scripts on kidney transplant. “A docudrama will go a long way in boosting the kidney awareness that there is need for exercise, moderation in size, moderation in the kind of food that people eat. “Write the script in English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and pidgin English. I assure you that as soon as we receive a script, the state government will provide the needed fund for the production of the film,” he said. The group had earlier embarked on an endurance trek from Allen Junction, Ikeja, to the Governor’s Office, to sensitize the public on the danger associated with renal failure. |
kcjazz:lobbying you mean? this is one of the reasons why we are not moving forward in naija. "every sickness in the world has an association" should that be the case? that you need to join an organization and lobby the governor for him to notice you. we are definitely corrupt to the core. fact remains that philanthropic work should be voluntary not mandatory. fashola should set up a private charity organization for that kind of thing. |
I think mercantilism is the answer. they've been practicing it for centuries and it has worked for them. |
Eko Ile:there are thousands of people in Lagos with Kidney problems. what made this nollywood star more deserving than those who don't have access to government offices? Dike who is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria should have done a fund raiser. i'm sure there are many cheerful givers like you in lagos who will be willing to help him. rather than going to the governor to lobby for poor people's tax money to be used on him. our tax money should be going to making health care affordable for everyone (for programs like medicare). not all of it going to a select few of fashola's friends. does that sound fair to you? why not use the money to fund a public hospital and pay couple of doctors' salary/equipments for a few yrs. imagine how many people will get health care/ lives will be saved with that money. |
I see someone got banned recently |
Obviously, the private folks are not doing anything to help and it's definitely not prudent for the state to sit around and do nothing to help Lagosians in need.@eko-ile tax money belong to the private folks!! why should fashola be using our money to care for his sick friends without our consent? fashola can start his own private charity organization or even support a fund-raiser for example to pay for his friends. Not citizen's taxes. our money should be spent creating/funding programs like medicare for all sick people. the money should be used equally among people. not for select nollywood friends. that's not equality. that's favoritism |
I was the one talking about exchange rates as an example. not bermuda. although I agree with a lot of what he says. @bermuda, yes you are better off hanging out with the "intelligent" students. but will they want to hang out with you? if they do, are they not more likely to take advantage of you. the 'dull' one? to me, our leaders are playing puppet to the west rather than being real leaders and taking charge. that's part of our problem our interests will often time run contrary to theirs and we just need to challenge the west sometimes rather than be puppets that's all. i'm pretty sure our leaders know all the stuff we're saying. they know finished goods fetch more than exporting raw materials but why aren't they acting on it? and do they have the power to act on it? imagine yourself as president. how will you go about changing the situation and what challenges or pressures might you face in taking these actions. |
