Music/RadioStyl Plus is Back with a New Single!!! by Jenifa1(op): 6:08am On Jan 23, 2011
The group is best known for their hit single Olufunmilola (2004). With the rise of Psquare, the most popular band in Naija currently, styl plus fell slowly to the background and have since remained there despite a few unsuccessful attempts to make a comeback. Will a new album bring them back into the limelight? What do you guys think of their new single Ka Fo Lo (Let's Fly Away)? I'm loving it!

PoliticsRe: Leaving The U.s.a To Nigeria For Good. by Jenifa1: 9:19am On Jan 22, 2011
well life is not always about the physical. life is also about the mental. both are entities which have to be fulfilled in your life for you to be a happy human being. if you are under the age of 24, chances are that you can fulfill the physical anywhere in the world you find yourself. chances are that you will be a party animal, into drinking alcohol, smoking ciggys, weed, clubbing, chasing skirts left right and centre, eating out all the time, carefree, living it up. your pursuit of the 'physical' at that age will mask the need to fulfill the 'mental'. after the age of 24 when you no longer do all those things (keep in mind this is 90 percent of the fun in the western world ) then you are left with a huge void to fill. this void must now be filled with 'mental stimulation'. most people are mentally stimulated when they are around like minded folk. people that look like you, think like you, eat like you, dress like you, react like you etc etc. so that after the age of 24 you are basically stuck in a place where your physical and mental needs will never be met unless you do radical things like plunge headlong into an activity that will bring you in contact with like minded people. which is why a lot of nigerians over a certain age are heavily born again in england and america. this fulfills a physical and a mental need to be connected and happy.
so what about those under 24 who don't do those "physical" things you listed and are doing more of the "mental" things? what will their life be like at 24+? similar situation or better?
100% correct, I eat pounded yam with a fork. . .I just don't like getting messy when I'm eating. And getting stew all over the cup, etc. Just makes me enjoy my food less if I'm eating with anything other than a fork. I'm a very finicky eater. I hate eating rice with spoons, for example.
serious ajebutter  grin
i'm stalking you btw. hope you realize that.
RomanceRe: The More Independent A Woman Becomes, The More Difficult It Is To Find A Husband by Jenifa1: 8:11am On Jan 22, 2011
ZIM DRILL:
though you might be right on more woman is schools but you are forgetting one thing woman always out number men

http://www.xist.org/earth/pop_gender.aspx

but then men got most places in high jobs
you don't make sense. women outnumber men in the world by 0.001%
but they outnumber men in schools by up to 30%
big difference. in fact, the new affirmative action is geared toward trying to keep boys in school.especially minority boys.

men getting most places in high jobs is changing. it is a function of time before women take up most of those high places.
ex. men were overwhelmingly worst hit by the recession in the US.
PoliticsRe: 79.6% Students Fails Again In Waec Exams by Jenifa1: 7:39am On Jan 22, 2011
tensor777:
Lets not get too hung up on terminology but anyway in America Liberal Arts Colleges offer a broad range of courses including not just the arts but the pure science subjects as well like courses like maths, physics, chemistry and biology.
it's still the same idea. ex. check the definition of "bachelor of arts."

Not many students would welcome such a system in Nigeria as they do avoid the sciences and languages even though thse subjects are of crucial. importance
you say this as if the students control the education board. anything to blame the students for the horrible educational system we have in nigeria abi? In my school most students would avoid sciences and languages too but they are a requirement for graduation.
students shouldn't be deciding requirements. the education board should be doing that.

in fact, there will be no school at all if all the decisions were left to the student. think about that.  yea you'll find some atreides geeks  here and there but many will avoid attending school altogether if it wasn't required to get a degree.

and the thing about expo/ cheating, it should be common sense that that is the result of lack of law enforcement. cheating will always exist yes. but the rate shouldn't be too high if an efficient system is in place.
in fact, when I took primary school common entrance exam, the moderators were reading the answers aloud to us!! talk about blame the system. by secondary school, level of moral was -100% people were leaving school by jumping over fences, cheating in exams were taken for granted. kinda like paying bribe at the airport. when there is no proper system in place, chaos will be the order of the day.

RomanceRe: I Am Doing Something Abominable And I Know But I Need Help by Jenifa1: 8:07am On Jan 21, 2011
Remember you cant help who you fall in love with.
what's your point? did you "fall in love" with him at first sight or after things have started to happen between the both of you.
plz stop pulling excuses. what you are describing is lust/crush not love. if you truly loved him, you wouldn't do such a thing to him by trying to ruin his marriage.  love is not selfish. love is very selfless.

people lust all the time. you just need to have discipline to restrain yourself. and obviously you have none considering you are doing this to your sisters which shouldn't take that much energy to hold back esp. if you love your sisters as well.

this guy got it right:
The way some people confuse love with lust. . .  lipsrsealed
CelebritiesRe: Genny's Reponses On Teju Baby Face Show Last Nite by Jenifa1: 7:56am On Jan 21, 2011
@ileke idi,
all she needs to do is tell us if they're dating or not. they appear together at events, they kiss in his music video (fall in love). all these raise suspicion and she knows. I think she might be doing it on purpose in an effort to get attention and raise her celebrity status

RomanceRe: How Do I Make Pass To This Girl? by Jenifa1: 6:59am On Jan 21, 2011
I think you should just try to be friends with her for a while. don't make any "pass" to her.
your crush will disappear soon after you've known her for a while and seen her imperfections and she might be the one left heartbroken and confused.
so try to be friends with her first before deciding to move on to level 2. lol
PoliticsRe: Leaving The U.s.a To Nigeria For Good. by Jenifa1: 6:56am On Jan 21, 2011
Kobojunkie:
Take a vacation instead @Poster. Move to Nigeria for 3 to 6 months and then make your decision afterwards/
@OP take a vacation as suggested. unless your immigration status is somehow then you might want to wait until you get your green card.
even if you decide to go back w/o permanent status, it's still your call. how old are you? if your parents are doing ok in naija, you could also live off them for a while (if your 2m is not enough) before you find your feet.
goodluck

buzugee:
its an age thing. chances are that if you are under 24, you will be having the time of your life.
plz explain further.  why is this? i'm curious. huh

RomanceRe: Do Attractive Guys/girls Have Platonic Friends Of The Opposite Gender? by Jenifa1: 6:27am On Jan 21, 2011
it's possible.
I mean how can one not have friends of the opposite gender?
anyways, I have no problems with male platonic friends.
but there are some guys that even if the girl is not attractive, they will still want something more. it's like a curse that they must flirt with or hit on every girl they know. I don't want to be stereotypical but these tend to be african guys. at least some of the ones that I have as friends. their woman wrapper is too much.

how close do you mean though? because if you are getting really close with this platonic friends of urs, of course one of you may start to catch feelings. unless he is one of those feminine type of guys and you are a tomboy type of girl if you get what I mean (and no I don't mean gay).
