Well I would assume Paul was talking within the construct of a culture that was intolerant to female leadership which is different from our culture today which is much more tolerant of it. That aside there is no indication Paul was giving a commandment from God rather he was talking from his position as a leader of the churches in question.

Paul was not against women speaking in church, but because many of them were asking too many questions about the faith during services, Paul instructed they should not disturb the services but should ask their husbands at home. The second part has to do with women trying to lecture their husbands that they are usurping authority . They should not teach their husband "THE MAN" he didn't say they should not teach "A MAN" but "THE MAN" which makes reference to the husband.

The bible says women will prophesy (speaking or teaching the word of God in public) priscila the wife of acquila was both pastor and teacher.

Personally I don't see any thing wrong with female pastors or women taking leadership roles in churches.

I am going to throw into the mix that we should even be cautious about criticising infant/child baptism; remember that Cornelius and his "household" were baptised and who is to say that the "household" did not include infants or children?

As a matter of policy women do not occupy leadership roles in my church even though they speak.

Also note that the form and struture of early church gatherings is different to the form today.

Then it was more of a meeting were believers met to discuss the word and share meals together rather than the type we have today were only the pastor and chosen officials get to speak without any fellowship meals.

You keep displaying your ignorance of scriptures, are you telling me that as a pastor you have not read in the book of corinthians and Timothy written by by Apostle Paul as well that women are not allowed to speak in church or hold positions of authority over men in church effectively barring women from pastorial office. What that means in effect is that Anita is holding her pastoral office illegally and her so called calling is a fraud against the church being aided and abetted by her equally notorious and fraudulent husband.

My dear, its so sad. Yes these places of worship just like any con man should be held responsible. Why do you hold someone responsible if they collect money under false pretense? In this case people's lives are at stake, and these people are vulnerable. I mean the law does not say hey you were silly to give the con man money,

I mean what is wrong for these big churches to have convention where they give away drugs and medical advice to a population who would be willing to listen?

south East washington DC has like the lowest rent you will find anywhere. you have your light gas water included in your rent in most places. and a one bedroom can be as low as $500. Ask anyone who has lived anywhere in the U. S if $500 would get you that amout of amenities anywhere else.
Do you know why it's so cheap ? it's because the robbery, murder and assualt rate is off the charts.
