Lol . . . Max I love you too Spiked you can find some really good quality movies online atimes, esp on Megavideo.com. |
I hope all ye haters were witnesses to Brady's return . . . looked as sharp and accurate and most importantly - fearless as ever ![]() Meanwhile Vick is taking major shots from those useless Philly fans . . . I wish he had gone somewhere else. Those fanatics are unappreciative, unreasonable & unforgiving. and where's A-40? I tell you so abi? granpa drama queen Bratt Favre is back http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4406963 $10-12 milla for just one season? my children must play sports oh! |
bawomolo:We have seen, heard and silenced naysayers like you in the past. We shall overcome again. Let the people say Amen! ![]() |
David, pls don't get me wrong. You make good points worthy of note but the linguistic carrier with which you deliver your opinion leaves much to be desired. When you storm the thread and use words like 'absurd' 'nonsense' 'bogus' 'rubbish' etc you do not think that is denigrating? Even if Kobo has been guilty of such in the past, we are all better than that. This is the same problem they have in washington. Discuss the point and not what you think the poster believes or who you think they watch or listen to. I happen to believe the whole death panel thing is untrue and stretched at best. And the end-of-life issue was also misinformation. But you've already come armed with a false assumption I supported or believed in it. I said Obama did not communicate the bill to the people and he wanted to pass it before August before people even knew what the heck was in it. All kinds of information and misinformation got out and now most americans are against him - and no its not becos of Foxnews. Only now is he trying to do some damage control with the anecdotes and story of his grandma etc . . . the damage has already been done. |
Hers was GI Jane . . . I don't think there's any relation btw the 2 movies, but I could be wrong. |
spikedcylinder:Don't front gurl, you know you'd love it here ThiefOfHearts:Lol . . . indeed it was a very different time in my life ![]() |
ThiefOfHearts:Lol . . . I couldn't stop laughing at the guy who brought his assault rifle to the townhall there are a couple of senators I would like to introduce him and his rifle to ![]() |
David, Kobojunkie has said it all. I have given up on "debating/discussing" with you, you don't know how to make a point without denigrating the person you disagree with. And now that we've established you know better and deeper than the rest of us, I wish you well brotha. Kobojunkie:I don't blame you jare. It almost seems like a steady stream of negative news everyday. One is better off watching sportscenter And this govt 'firm' you're working for I hope you're building a nice, fat pension for your retirement at 45 ![]() |
Kobojunkie, I tell you, I don't entertain anyone saying crap about the US. They should look at their own country and tell me if their log is not bigger than america's. Pres-elect, Even before I read your explanation, I knew why you called the big O stupid and if I were a democratic sympathizer I would be angry too. When it came down to communicating the proposed bill to the people Obama got an F+. Maybe perhaps becos he himself did not know what was in the bill, the dems have ended up being on the defensive, trying to tell us what's not in the bill instead of telling us whats in it. Like I mentioned before I have researched and seen that there is some misinformation out there and Obama has no one but himself to blame. And I still can't get anyone to answer if illegal immigrants will be covered in this bill and how exactly we're going to pay for it![]() I wrestle sometimes with the philosophy of both sides, as each has some appeal. Dems want to cover everyone regardless, Reps want to cover those who have worked and payed for it. Dems measure their success by how many people are getting help from the govt while the Reps measure theirs by how many people are not getting help from the govt. I think both sides are BS. There has to be some common middle ground. I'm for helping those who can't afford it - a situation I was in very recently. Massachusetts has health for all, but at what cost? the state is on the brink of bankruptcy, city workers losing their jobs by the minute all in the name of passing a "moral" bill. We can help our neighbor, but lets take the time to plan it right and come up with a bill that works for all and will not leave us in financial armageddon. |
A toss up between Pounded yam or Rice with Egusi soup with spinach & beef |
spikedcylinder:. . . move to America already ![]() |
justkunmi:Just like the name 'Transformers' invokes fond memories from me , GI does the same for those who grew up with/playing it.Eagle eye will be fine with me to review. I heard Hangover was funny, but the likelihood I'll be seeing it without a gun pointed to my head is very low. |
@Poster, You're not required to tithe, it is a choice. That being said if you still choose to tithe, you don't "pay" your tithe to a church, you give it to God . . . whether it be in the form of giving to your church, another church, the beggar on the street, your neighbor who is in need etc . . .giving to God is giving to those around you who are in need not simply your chosen church. |
Please do. I've wasted enough time and money on crap in the past. 'Inglorious' has all the markings of a movie I will not like . . . we shall see. |
JK, don't quite know myself. It has crappy written all over it but I think people went to see it becos of the 'name'. justkunmi:I've only seen Orphan. Also saw Valkyrie, Shooter and Four Brothers recently. |
spikedcylinder:You wouldn't believe it. It was #1 up until District 9 opened up last friday. I've been itching to see Up. . . |
spikedcylinder:Lol see this girl it's okay Spiked, I promise I won't make fun of you after you post yours ![]() "District 9" is the #1 movie in the country . . . does anyone know if there's any merit to it? A friend saw it and said it was good . . . but coming from someone who also thought 'Obessed' was good . . . |
To write review don become wahala.See her orphan-lovin' behind. ![]() All right. Josh is handsome. Baker's beautiful. And Vesc is getting gayer by the second.
Lol let us keep him in our prayers ![]() |
davidylan:Who send you message? you're going to look for Britney and Megan when you have plenty of Bisi's and Kudirat's waiting for you in Lagos ![]() |
Abi Karma, you haven't given us your own review. Max, come 40 come 50 come over-the-hill - he will still be dashing ![]() |
Even if there was any merit to the above, belief in God is not now nor has it ever been rooted on the foundation of proof, but moreso and entirely on that of faith. There is no need to show proof of God's existence, there is evidence all around us everyday - some choose to accept and believe and others don't. |
Max, I have already shown you who's on the "top percentile" remember my Josh? I would pass Baker, Craig, Bale etc on the street and not even look twice ![]() vescucci:lol, poor V. Go and recruit some fellas now . . . Very strange your type of "scary movie". I found exorcist and co pretty okay to watch. . . and "stir of echoes"? nah not to me. I'm with you on Omen though, every one who's ever seen it has left traumatized for life. And no, I haven't seen G.I.Joe, yetI knew you could be trusted but what's with the "yet"? is it on your to-do list? ![]() |
Wrong. Not just the messenger, the message and the one who sent the message have very different attributes btw Christianity and islam. |
I think a basic definition is in order: Murder - the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought I will have zero problem killing in self-defense or in the defense of another who is in trouble. Morals do not have much to do with it imho, its a matter of cause, effect and prevention. |
Max I know you can do better than Simon Baker he is barely average jare.spikedcylinder: ![]() |
Deep Sight:I agree it should. But it appears not to be sufficient enough evidence for the atheist. I also agree when you said the nature of this Intelligent Designer cannot be "proven" - you're absolutely right. I cannot prove my faith or experiences to another, each person's path to finding and understanding God is unique to them. |
![]() Adaku has established that she is infact NOT a christian, but dagg, she is impressive! Atheists here should hire her to develop their arguements for them ![]() |
@the honorable Lawyer Deepsight, very well spoken sir, very well spoken and I think you may be right. Lets see Adaku's (whom I am liking very much for her "honest humor" )response to your well laid out argument. |
Lol, no be Voltron be that? I was going to acknowledge it but the gi joe thing threw me off ![]() No2Atheism:Playa. abi na wannabe playa? We already know how you roll boy, we already know ![]() No2Atheism:Guilty as charged . I can teach you if you promise to be a good student . . . |
No2Atheism:LOL comedian, you never fail to disappoint me except with gi joe. Well for the rest of us not on the level of 300AD old school 'english' comprehension abilities such as you have, we have to make do with more modern versions. ![]() |
imhotep:Very intriguing stuff. The greatest hope you can give to people in this life esp those who have suffered so much is to tell them of the glory that awaits in Christ - what greater joy is there than that? ![]() I know that you will want to ask what these eternal truths are. . .You know me so well . . . since I have some knowledge from your history here on NL and we have frequently discussed and disagreed, I am curious as to what 'eternal truths' you shared with them.Oh yes, but too much attachment to (what I call) religion, denomination etc . . frequently leads to HATRED, BIGOTRY etc. . . the very things Christ preached against. While I remain a Catholic (in fact a Jesuit) I am training myself to be able to communicate TRUTHS to ANYBODY from any background whatsoever. . . the compassion of Christ does not respect boundaries, cultures, creeds and all that. . . I buried about 5 lepers, they had all been rejected by their 'religious' families . . .we had to become their new families. One elderly leper (still alive) requested that I be there when she is being buried . . . she is a great-grandmother . . . her descendants do not what to see or hear from her. . . she was not a Catholic when she was healthy . . . I ministered to her for hours on end. . .Absolutely right! and the reason many many people have become disenchanted with religion in general. A central part of the gospel of Jesus Christ is love and compassion espcially towards the weak and rejected. When a family professing such faith shows a distinct absence of those qualities one must conclude the eyes of their heart are still darkened. and the rest of us christians need to express the love & truth of Christ wherever we find ourselves - without prejudice or malice but in gentle firmness and compassion. This may sound . . . but I thank you for showing that love to others. |
. . . and I stand by that quote. If I absolutely had to choose btw the NIV and KJV, I will pick the NIV. Again of what use is a 100% word for word translation accuracy if you can't understand it? If it were the RSV or NASB I would drop the NIV for them but not for the KJV. |
